It's sad to see a series with such a strong premise, talented cast, and rich context fall into the realm of mediocrity. The political backdrop involving corruption and land mafias had the potential to add real depth to the story. Sadly, the director reduced it to a one-dimensional tool-simply to paint the protagonist's family as villainous-without delving into any meaningful detail or analysis.

Meanwhile, the present-day mystery and kidnapping subplot felt forced and lacked genuine engagement. There were far too many subplots tangled together, making it difficult to discern what was central to the story and what was just filler. With such an ensemble cast, this could have been something remarkable. But instead, the director seemed more focused on dramatic confrontations and fiery dialogue-which, to be fair, were well-acted-but that alone isn't enough.

It's especially disappointing to see a seasoned actor like Saswata Chatterjee underutilized. The attempt to make her character mysterious and central to a major plot twist ultimately fell flat. The narrative as a whole failed to stay cohesive-it became loose, predictable, and struggled to hold tension. Yes, the family drama and suspense were present and occasionally enjoyable, but the series never quite reached its full potential.

Bangladeshi web series makers need to become smarter and more creative. Simply being "good by Bangladeshi standards" is no longer enough-if something is mediocre, it remains mediocre across all benchmarks.

Mind blowing cinematography, a very capable direction and a captivating watch. A gem in the Bangladeshi web series industry. Storyline can be seen not too strong, but with the superb performance of the entire cast, screenplay, location everything made up for it.

I am not a frequent reviewer, I rate when it deserves, but too lazy to write. This time, I thought I should appreciate this by writing.

The story is not a thriller. Yes, it does look like a thriller, has all the elements but the rawness of thriller is not present here. We see a family of secrets, well obviously, and their hidden truth. For some people the storyline would be absolutely predictable, and you can find some loopholes too. But the making of it, is the real game.

A must watch from Bangladesh!

I thought this drama would be one of the best considering the casting of Intekhab, Shashoto, Sara et al. But the plot seemed to have lost its focus after episode 4-5. Sara Zaker was absolutely not used at all in her role. The story line was focusing on what exactly? Because how does a character figures out how to use pigeons as messaging? What was the black horse there for? Many symbolism went unexplained and unbaked. The dialogs and acting is what stands out. But I was disappointed with Showkis script selection and final editing. Photography was amazing and probably was the second best thing about this drama.

Gulmohar is not just a series-it feels like watching a flower slowly bloom. Just like the gulmohar tree, this story is full of color, emotion, and quiet beauty. It grows on you with every episode.

The story is deep but never too heavy. The acting is natural, and the direction is simple yet powerful. Among all, Saswata Chatterjee's performance truly stands out-he brings such honesty and depth to his character that it's hard to look away. He was simply outstanding.

This is one of the best Bengali series I've ever seen. Honest, emotional, and beautifully made.

A must-watch. 10/10.
