Daphne and Ian could not be any sweeter, I love the way they work together, the discoveries they make, the projects they take on. The castle, or Chateau as they call it is drenched in centuries of history bit its Daphnes grandfather who spurred her love and ambition to restore the castle and out buildings into a working wedding venue. There is true family history in every project, every episode and the end results are breathtaking! I binge watched the first six episodes and cannot wait for the next! I am so excited for their discoveries along with a real life treasure hunt along the way. There is so much more to see and discover with them. Absolutely enchanting!
The scale of the renovation project they've taken on is so massive, it's hard to believe. They are sweet together and you root for them throughout the journey. This place looks like it could have blown down in the last breeze, but somehow, inch by inch, they are bringing it back to life. It's so easy to connect with the sentimentality of her memories there with her grandfather and I just think he must be guiding them along from the other side. Not only will we want more episodes of the Chateau project, but it's safe to say we will want to continue keeping up with life there long after the building is finished. They're making all of our fairytale Chateau dreams come true.
I love, love, love this show! Daphne and Ian are so likable. The show leaves you in awe with how massive this chateau is. I fell in love with Welcome to the Chateau and hubby and I are as well with this adventure. Each episode has a dramatic ending with beautifully done renovations. The ups and downs of owning a chateau really pits it into perspective how emotionally strong you need to be to own one of these massive castles. Looking forward to that big chandelier in the staircase some day. Really, how can anyone review this anything less than a 7 on IMdb? Really do hope for a season two. Fingers crossed!
I'm enjoying this journey with Daphne & Ian while they renovate their castle in France. After inheriting this castle and all of the other buildings and land they decide to keep the castle - if they can. Daphne spent her childhood summers visiting her grandfather and grandmother near Paris. She wants to honor her grandparents by keeping their vision alive. There are a lot of challenges and costs. If they can finish this castle and grounds it will make a fabulous venue for parties and weddings. Daphne and Ian seem to be a caring and loving couple. This is their future and I sincerely wish them well.
My husband, and myself, hit on this show accidently and are so glad we did. This young couple pour their heart and soul into the renovation of an inherited, 500 year old castle, and do it with flying colors. They compromise, they talk things through, they dont play the blame game. We were actually proud of them, as if they were our own children. I got teary-eyed with them. If a married couple can make it through a renovation, they can make it through anything. 41 years of marriage and too many renovations to count. But still here to talk about each one. Great series. Keep it coming. Merci Beaucoup.

- TriviaLeonora Dori Galigaï, along with her husband Concino Concini, purchased the Château de Lésigny, located in the rural outskirts of Paris, in 1613. The château itself, however, was originally constructed around 1508, well before Leonora's ownership, with its history tied to the Renaissance period in France. (This was AI generated)
