The first episode was really good, and set the stage well, but this second episode was on another level. To link aviation and an American Idol-style show (within a show) at the start and have it make sense, and to then jump to Paramount+, and covering Nathan for You stuff, and then to bring it all home, all the while being about how to be a good person... it's all very deep and overwhelming, and so intricately put together in a way that shouldn't work, but somehow does.
This was both more uncomfortable than the first episode and much funnier. The German office scene has been the comedic highlight so far, and then it also gets really intense and heavy at one point. I don't know how Fielder does it.
I also don't know what's real and what's not, but I like going along for the ride. Whatever's staged and whatever isn't, it's always about human nature, and it's interesting and thought-provoking stuff either way.

This episode starts with a simple premise of a singing contest, and you think the whole thing is gonna be about that, and then it turns into one of the wildest and hilarious things I've ever seen, in Nathan for You fashion.
I was honestly disappointed to see the short runtime of this episode at first, but I did not expect this episode to go this hard. 30 minutes might seem short, but the amount of crazy stuff that happens here feels like an hour.
For the previous episode, I was kinda disappointed when I saw the episode suddenly ending and not giving us enough material on the actual subject, and going on a relationship side quest (not that it wasn't the best part of the episode) instead. But I can see now that they are gonna continue this whole pilot x copilot dynamic. (Because I remember the last season having different rehearsals for each episode, but I might be wrong.) Nevertheless, this episode was amazing, and the Paramount Plus stuff was one of the funniest things I've seen that reminds me of the genius of writing in Nathan for You, and felt more like that show than The Rehearsal.
Amazing and hilarious episode, one of the best of the whole show so far.
