Nice to see most of the user reviews for this title have been posted by people in countries where the film isn't even out yet. Way to go supporting independent film, not.
This is an exceptionally well made film considering the obviously low budget and the fact that it was filmed in just 9 days (according to the trivia section at least). That's as indie as indie gets and it's pretty shocking that the guys behind this managed to make a such an ambitious movie in such a short time frame, especially one that's both coherent and looks more expensive than I'm sure you'd assume from whatever the budget was.
Some very good performances from a cast i'm mostly unfamiliar with. Vinnie Jones is good at doing what he does best, being a hard looking SOB who takes no prisoners. It's refreshing to see him in a good guy role - especially in a lead too for once, but sometimes he's a bit unconvincing when showing his softer side.
I'm still mightily impressed how these guys shot a full length movie in less than two weeks but the proof is in the pudding. An at times gripping and suspenseful film with some great lines and well structured action scenes.

Did not want to dislike 'Kill Kane'. It was again not a bad, if not new, premise and Vinnie Jones has given dependable performances in the past. It had potential to work, and would have done with effort being obvious and like those in front of and behind the camera had their hearts in it.
Neither of which can be seen with 'Kill Kane', something that is really quite unforgivable. Have seen worse films, recently and ever, but that doesn't stop 'Kill Kane' from being a very poor film with no redeeming traits and a lot of things done absolutely terribly. There is not much to add to what has been said very well already and the review is at the risk of repeating what has been said. Just for the record, 'Kill Kane' was watched with an open mind and not without the intent or want to dislike, let alone hate, the film, quite the contrary.
All the acting ranges from insipid to terrible, nobody looks engaged or at ease. Jones phones in and lacks vigour and intensity for a role needing both for it to work. In all fairness the characters are clichéd and are never engaging or easy to get behind, didn't care or endear to any of them.
The chemistry is static, likewise with the barely existent direction. The script is from start to finish is a cringe, weep and toe curl-fest with lots of overblown soap-opera melodrama and no depth whatsoever.
Furthermore, the story has no tension or suspense whatsoever, is very lifelessly paced and executes a not particularly new if intriguing idea with no imagination or originality. Basically non-stop indifferent dullness and predictability that takes itself far too seriously to be fun. 'Kill Kane' has a very dreary, one-note and less than slick visual style with well below average visuals and no attempt at authenticity. The sound is monotonous and over obvious, while the lighting lacks atmosphere and consistently and the photography lacks focus and often static in the more dramatic scenes.
In conclusion, awful with a noticeable lack of effort. 1/10 Bethany Cox

This is total bilge of the highest order! Absolutely terrible...beyond any redemption! Horrendously-bad actors and actresses...and script, (insult to the word "script', tbh)! If this was a school production, during my secondary school days, it would have been laughed off the stage! 5 year olds would not have acted so badly! I have always liked Vinnie, but I sense his pay for this was a vast majority of the £75K budget for the whole production! He deserves it, as money for service to an excuse for a movie, 9 days or 9 months to make this, but 9 years could not save this poor excuse for a movie!
In a derivative story of suburban violence| family man Ray Brookes(AKA The voice of Mr. Ben) seeks revenge when his wife and children are murdered by infamous gangsters (Brian Kant and Floella Benjamin). Unable to place his order for chips with curry sauce he is left with no faith in the justice system and with nothing left to lose except 74 minutes of low quality 'entertainment' he turns vigilante, crazy ape bonkers, bat-sh*t but not the other cheek and stalks the streets like some kind of cockney leopard on the hunt for those who robbed him of a future as a football pundit.
Watch this movie or have your colon cleansed, the choice is yours.

This is a lethal dose of horrendous acting, crippling pace and horrible script bundled into one. Usually B-movies, the type where Vinnie Jones dabbles in for these recent years, can at least be appreciated for their silly antics or embellished action. However, "Kill Kane" can barely produce basic elements of actual movie, which makes it terribly cheap and utterly boring to witness.
Using vengeance theme, Vinnie Jones is on the warpath to avenge his family. It's all presented in two interweaving timelines, one where he is on a rampage, and the other one where the deed happens, as though regular narrative is not complex enough for the refined production. There's no way to sugarcoat this, the acting is so poor, none of the characters even remotely seem believable.
Everyone acts in a heinous outlandish soap opera manner, while also manage to seemingly reading from a teleprompter as they gaze randomly. It often shows ridiculous scenes of people shouting in profanity, yelling useless banter or just Vinnie Jones doing solemn musing. As a lead, he does try, but the performance is rigid at best. This doesn't create any semblance of connection, and the insipid script gives no aid whatsoever.
Action is practically a couple of people skulking around in random alley or room, firing toy weapon and thus trying to pass Betadine spill as gunshot wound. It has no structure beyond this come and shoot. The setting isn't portrayed well either, lighting would pan inconsistently or the shot would linger needlessly on weird expression. Furthermore, it tries to create emotional tension on the supposed important dramatic scene, yet the acting ruins even this.
The movie will kill only good mood one has when watching it. This one should just be avoided like real life bullet.

¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaOriginally Vinnie Jones was going to play a bad guy who only appeared in three scenes, but he loved the script and really warmed to the family man character of Ray, so ended up in the lead role instead.
