Before you read further, I am the kind of reviewer that just wants to see a good movie/series. I am not going to compare anything with books,am not going to judge acting on details,... I just want to see a good thing without having to much expectations.
Wow...the first time I saw that heroes reborn was out I got high hopes. Since the Heroes series I was waiting to find something similar.
The first episodes start good in my opinion. It doesn't give it all away just like the first heroes. But... After having watched the whole thing it looks like so many cool things could be done with the powers of ever character. Thats what made Heroes so good, the building up, the new aspects every episode, leading to a great end.
If you are a fan of Heroes i would still recommend to watch it because i know you like this kind of series. But also you will be disappointed at the end.

I'm just not completely sold on Heroes Reborn. Unfortunately it just doesn't compare to the first few seasons of the original show. While it's not bad and it does have potential to progress into a semi-decent show I still think it needs to iron out the kinks. So far I don't love the villains and aside from the original cast the new characters are a bit weak. Maybe with time and as their true potential starts to show I may feel more invested.
If I could change anything I would make the first season less "end of the world" catastrophe focused. They really just delved into it without properly establishing a backstory. And I'm not sure if I just can't remember the finale of Heroes but the continuing story just doesn't make sense. This show could be much worse though.

Well i think how they made the storyline of the show is quite interesting. Although, i am very disappointed that not a lot of the main characters of Heroes didn't get to reprise their roles. I think it would become an even better (higher rating) show if they actually included more of the old characters. I mean i'm pretty sure everyone wants to know what happened to the old characters, Ando, Peter <3, Sylar ((who was already a good guy in the last episode of Season 4 of Heroes)) and all of the other familiar faces. It would be super awesome to see Sylar as the hero of the show for once. I really really hope that if Heroes: Reborn gets a Season 2, just for the sake of saving the show, please include more of the original Heroes characters. Overall, I absolutely love the show, especially how it's not always revolving around just American characters but also other people from across the world, we shouldn't have had to wait 5 years for the return of Heroes :')
p/s: I would love to be part of the show.

I have to start by saying I really liked the original Heroes. Especially the first 2 season were masterpieces. There was a brilliant mystery that was making me want to see more and more.
Unfortunately i can't say the same about Heroes Reborn. There are obvious plot holes and even some ridiculous segments. There is an Asian girl who lives alone, have no friends, no family and all that she does is stay in her apartment out of convenience for the plot and this is not even the worst part. She has to safe her father....from a video game, where she can teleport or whatever and when she does that you see it in a computer graphics video.
The show is copying a lot from the its predecessor like the main characters are again of Asian, Latin and obviously American origin. Their development, however, is lacking and is not as clever as the original. There is a mystery but this time it is created in the most stupid way - by coincidences that stop the main character from finding what he actually used to know.
Another downfall to the show is that there are too many children in the main characters. I mean is this supposed to be a teen show?
I still keep my hope alive that the show will get better and develop the mystery properly and make me want more and more like the original.

Being a big fan of Heroes season 1, I was sad to see how the original show started getting worse as each season progressed.
I was excited for a reboot, and as I watched the first 3 episodes, it seemed that the show was not as good as the original.
HOWEVER, as I continue to watch, especially with the most recent episode of June 13 part 2, I can say that this show is really kicking off. The build up is finally worth it and the show is becoming very interesting; I am actually now really eager to watch the upcoming episodes. They cover many of the confusions and questions you may have earlier, and do it with a pretty good/satisfying explanation.
Sure there are plot holes (when are there no plot holes when you involve super powers and time travel..) but I believe the show is truly doing its job in giving reasonable explanations. More importantly, the show is very entertaining and interesting and has people wanting to see more as the series continues.
I do hope the series continues this momentum, and if it does, I REALLY do hope they make a second season. I am enjoying the show very much now and would suggest others to start the series if they haven't.

I'd like to consider myself a huge fan of this show. I understand the time jump but given the pre-story of the show, the mini-series seems to be dragging at at snail pace. Maybe it is just me wanting the story to pick up from the beginning since its only 13 episodes. A few things that frustrate me. The married couple killing evos "out of nowhere" kind of seems like they have one purpose to the show which is to avenge the death of their son, but that deranged batsh!t wife, I honestly think she has no purpose in "heroes". It probably would have been better if Zachery Levi's character was the lone warrior hunting evos down himself, finding his purpose of why he's doing so but she needs to go! HRG's absent memory is bizarre, I mean given the character's actions throughout heroes, he was always for protecting Claire, now all of a sudden he's out protect all the evos that are left in the world because of one KEY memory is gone that would actually prevent him from doing so. I hope they reveal what he wanted to forget, soon. There are a lot of other things, but these two stuck out the most. I do enjoy the series but they really need to pick up the pace.

If you really are a Heroes fan, well what happened now? Go follow up and watch this series, and the more it gets deeper, the interesting it goes. You just watched the beginning and it turned you like a scumbag. That's the reason it's called "REBORN" and rating it low just because you're not getting what you want. Of course they will make new stories, and if they did repeat the last season, what will you guys say? Re- engineered crap? I am gladly to see the few characters in the show, well I might be wrong, but still I'd be happy to watch this series. There are brand new stories to hear and unexpected twists waiting to happen. Give them a chance and don't rate it low too early. You're pushing out new viewers

So yep .. i kinda got a bit emotional just when i heard the theme music of Heroes ... new multi stories are again to be connected with new characters and as much as i wanted to see the old characters back .. well i kinda feel this way the idea of Heroes originals would be untouchable.
Of course the story when the Heroes were few and new was more thrilling but also now it look more promising and has so much potentials into developing into so many ways .. still there are some unrecognizable new concepts but so was the start of the original story.
Some reviewing websites mentioned that "This is the best Heroes has been since its first season!" well let's be fair .. it is not .. but i'd strongly say it is the best heroes since the third season since the 4th well wasn't that much of a series as it was a quick wrap up..
So back to our story here ... the plot look tight a solid .. the script is so much a like with the Original heroes .. and the stories "for me as an original 2006 series watcher" look organized and have a great potentials to develop to the way we expect.
Tim Kring is really now A Pro in the Sci-Fi Mystery Dramas , as after heroes i'v watched "Touch" and last spring's "Dig" and both were WOWzers so now with the new version of Heroes i'm relaxed that it is back with Kring himself but the script just get out of that low level it went off on Heroes Season 4 ;) It seems like not so many ties to it but the rhythm is still mild.
It is a "TV mini-series" so no one really knows where things will go after "if there is an After" it is just a way of showing a new generation what Heroes was 10 years ago..
It also sees in the end of the second episode that some of the old characters will have a minor present in the episode like Hiro Nakamura and Matt ... but it is kinda clear that the one to save the world this time is "Tommy" who if you're one of "Once upon a Time" watcher you know that he did an amazing job acting as Peter Pan.
Overall .. the script is promisingly good ,, the characters looked engaging .. and the music theme and soundtracks are still catchy .. so way to go Reborn and fingers crossed for things well.

I was a MASSIVE fan of Heroes throughout its original run. I thoroughly enjoyed all 4 seasons and was still watching it religiously after 90% of people had jumped ship by the end of Season 4. I picked up & read every little bit of information that would add to the lore & immersion of the Heroes universe & just simply loved the whole concept. So when Reborn was announced I was overwhelmed with excitement, but at the same time I was very, very cautious as to how and if they were going to be able pull it off, as historically reboots are often complete flops. Knowing that Noah (played by the excellent Jack Coleman) was returning gave me at least some peace of mind as he was the anchor of the whole show, but I still went in to the premiere will extremely low expectations. That being said, even with these low expectations, I've come away after 13 episodes feeling HUGELY disappointed, and absolutely LIVID with the finale.
The show failed in pretty much every category it could fail in. The writing was awful. The actors were poorly directed. The script was shocking. The pacing was ludicrous. The CGI was absolutely cringeworthy. The character arcs were laughable & character development in itself was virtually non-existent - which resulted in literally no reason to passionately care about any single person unless they were a well developed character from the original series. Every now & then there were glimmers of what made the original series so great, and the June 13th two-parter was simply superb. But on the whole, if Reborn was a standalone series & it didn't rely so heavily on people clinging to nostalgic memories of the original, then I don't think it would've managed to retain even a fraction of the viewership that it ended up holding on to.
As much as I absolutely adore the Heroes Universe and the original characters, Reborn has to be the worst high-budget network show I have watched in my life. It is an insult to the original & Tim Kring should frankly feel ashamed of himself.
If you're a fan of the original like me then for the love of Sylar stay away from Reborn. It will do nothing but taint your fond memories of the original series.

Reviewers Notes: 1. The original Heroes was one of the best written best directed and best produced shows in TV history. Its only crime was to appear as a wide-net network show just as the TV landscape was splintering into a zillion pieces. The exec who decided to deep-six the show should have lost his parking spot in the VIP zone, at the very least. While the entire series was iconic and wonderfully new (SAVE THE CHEERLEADER SAVE THE WORLD) the last season with the carnival locale presented one of the most memorable stories I have ever seen with brilliant acting and writing.
2. So that's a tough act to follow. Going into REBORN I was wondering if this was a sincere effort (as in, we goofed and we are going to fix it) or merely an exploitation of the remnant audience for fast ad profits in a new TV landscape where highly specialized shows, produced for cheap, can show a nice bottom line if pitched to a segmented but identifiable audience...?
3. Based on the 2-hour opener, looks like they are taking the low road. The show seemed to have cheap production values, some of the special effects were terrible, the dialog was far below the original series, and the electricity seemed gone.
4. Reminds this reviewer of the old joke about the test of an optimist - a young boy is taken to a locked room and finds it filled to the ceiling with horse manure. He is seized with joy and starts to dig. When the tester asks "why" he replies, with this much horse poop, there must be a pony in here somewhere!
5. We eagerly await the pony. But confidence is not high.

Liking this show. Started slow and a bit disjointed it now has me hooked and waiting impatiently for the next episode. (episode 8) I don't get the very bad ratings, yeah the acting for some of the characters is average at best but the stalwarts carry it well enough. Would love to know what the deal is with the drunk guy as he is the worst of the lot. He wasn't much better in the dance movies he did... let's see how his story develops as it doesn't seem part of the main storyline. The other minor irritation I had was the murder spree the couple went on after their son died. It makes no sense at all and could really have been done better.

I really really love the Show!💖💖💖
I do not have anything to say about .It is just perfect and exciting 👍🏻 I just love it. 😍I will love to see the old cast again of course💝 But the new cast still pretty awesome. 👌🏻 Thumbs up 👍🏻for the writers, it is a pretty good and great story. 😘 My friends and I , we are waiting for it every Thursday to watch the Show together! 🍜🍷🍢🍻 Please continue airing it. 🙏 Thanks again for bringing Heroes back.😊We are very thankful .
People really need to see cool series on air. 😄 I do not get it why the rating has to be so high to keep airing. Scare us big time just the possibility that they might shut it down again. I hope it doesn't happen. My better wishes for the cast and the production.🍀😃🎉👍🏻👋🏻

Lets face it, this reboot is awful. An x-men ripoff done poorly. The digital realm just doesn't even make any sense.
The first season of Heroes was great because of the pacing and realism. Yes, these were people with super powers, but they felt like real people dealing with these problems. The end of the first season fell a little flat. I expected a lot more in the climactic sequence with Sylar, but at least I enjoyed the ride.
At this point with the reboot, I have a hard time sitting through another boring and ridiculous episode.
We don't need an earth level crisis. we need a story of people with super powers working against others with similar powers. And to not be afraid of sticking with characters, even when they become over powered.

Close to the original series, except for one tiny little detail: novelty
The same plates are now served cold as a caricature of themselves: the short sequences are punctuated by a metronome, the interlaced narrative flows are multiplied, these awkward silences with the camera panning on a digitally reprocessed scenery are repeated indefinitely and the story keeps looping around these not bad guys doing bad things by mistake or for higher purposes. The underlying message hasn't changed: tolerate the difference, but the perspective on the world sticks to the point of view of a wealthy white Christian American middle aged man: the world is a chaotic and dangerous place requiring a revamp by informed people, using violence. I've survived the show until the half of the fourth episode and will stop here. I understand that my expectations for anything surprising will not not be fulfilled.

Let me start by saying that just about everything that can be written/filmed, has been read and watched this day in age. I really enjoyed the previous Heroes. I have watched all episodes so far and they are OK for the mid week entertainment when there is nothing else to do and as a stay at home Mom that is pretty often :) If you go into this comparing it to the original, You will be sadly disappointed, and I think that is unfair to the writers of this script.. This is a new story but with some old characters. Which personally were my favorites in the original Heroes. If you liked Fear the walking dead and other spin off series then go for it. If you are hoping this will blow your mind then look else where for something really new, Drop me a line when you find it :D
