According to Variety, Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26, a new anthology anime series based on eight short stories by Chainsaw Man creator Tatsuki Fujimoto, has recently been announced and will be exclusively available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. This now guarantees a likely increase in the platform’s subscription sales, putting it in competition with Crunchyroll and Netflix.

The adaptation will comprise eight short stories that Fujimoto wrote between the ages of 17 and 26. The anime is scheduled to release on Amazon Prime Video starting November 7, 2025.

North America is no longer a niche market for anime, and Japanese cultural entertainment company Remow knows it, recently announcing a new 24/7 Fast (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television)anime channel launching in the U.S. and Canada -- with more still to come.

The emergence of the new network, It's Anime, coincides with growing demand for the medium in the West, where theatrical hits like The Boy and the Heron and Demon Slayer: Mugen Train have topped domestic box office charts. Per Deadline, the service, which will be available via Samsung TV Plus, aims to capitalize on the surge by serving as a "premier destination" for free, always-on access to "top-quality anime" for fans.

As the Anime Expo begins in L.A. this week, 24/7 Fast channel It’s Anime has launched on Samsung TV Plus in the U.S. and Canada. The network will provide a mix of modern era anime titles and classic shows.

The line-up over coming months comprises the likes of Tougen Anki, Haigakura, Your Forma, Mr Deer Friend Nokotan, Gag Manga Biyori Go, Umamusume: Cinderella Gray, Tonbo!, Tasokare Hotel and Kuroko’s Basketball.

It’s Anime is set to roll out in other territories and on other platforms across this year and 2026.

The post-apocalyptic adventure follows Gear, a junk dealer with a secret double life as a thief. Partnering with Qu-0213, a multi-personality robot, and Shirokuma, a gambling-addicted polar bear, the trio operates as elite thieves-for-hire until rescuing a mysterious girl puts them on a collision course with their society’s power structure.
