Provocative

I tried to get into the Singaporean TV show "Provocative," but honestly, it's a real struggle.

The title feels like a promise the show can't keep, and what's on screen is just... not good. I'm talking about a plot that feels like it was put together with a bunch of random ideas that don't quite fit. You've got these supposed high-stakes moments, but they all fall flat, and the whole story just doesn't make a lot of sense.

But the real issue is the acting. It's so stiff and unnatural that it's hard to believe anything the characters are doing or saying. Every line delivery feels forced, and the emotional scenes just come across as cringey. It's like everyone is just reading off cue cards and forgot to put any feeling into it.

It's genuinely embarrassing to watch. You can see they spent money on this, and the fact that people are actually enjoying it makes me wonder what's going on. It's an unwatchable mess, and a perfect example of what happens when a TV show has a lot of ambition but no real substance to back it up, but maybe that's just the best Mediacorp and Singapore have to offer!

What does Mediacorp think they are now - La Femme Nikita? Srsly Mediacorp, face it, no matter what you try to ripoff, be it Lord Of The Flies, Law & Order, Return of the Condor Heroes, Bachcheha-ye Asaman, Thomas & Friends, or even La Femme Nikita, you will NEVER succeed. It would have been wiser if you'd just stuck to your The Ultimatum or Ride The Waves style of shows dating from pre-1998 - leave the big stuff to the US, Canada, and HKTVB.

From the Man Shu Sum era, Mediacorp has been known for ripping stuff off - I'm surprised they haven't got a lawsuit yet.

To all viewers out there - avoid this show. You wanna see the real authentic original, watch the original La Femme Nikita.
