Tiny budgeted non-starter

It had the potential to be so much better

Ok it's his first director movie but this actually started quite well. I was hoping it would become a 3 way game of cat and mouse but it didn't which is a shame. The torture scenes could have been longer and also more interaction with the wife as she never tried to free herself. The chase scene wasn't so good as you could see the reshoot edits.

A better script would have given us a better movie.

A cringe-inducing turkey (as bad as you would expect)

Obviously when you have someone who combines a cringe-inducing lack of self-awareness with a gaping void where creative talent should lie (as in the case of Luke Goss) then you're not going to expect much from a vanity project such as this. But, in fact, this movie is surprising. It's even worse than you would naturally have expected. The only thing of any interest (to anyone but Luke Goss himself) is how this movie was funded? Hopefully he funded it himself - presumably the few radio plays that "When Will I Be Famous" still gets globally must bring in some royalties, because it would be a tragedy if anybody else had been so gullible as to have invested in this hilariously poor home movie.

Your Move

This doesn't deserve the 10 stars that people have given this movie. I rented it because of the reviews. It was poor quality of filming and hard to understand what was being said. All the 10 star reviews look like they were written by the same person.

Horrible!

It really was so bad that I literally threw away the movie as soon as it ended to never ever make the mistake of wasting my time on this crap.... If I could give it a negative star rating I would just so others won't waste there time on this.

Horrible. Slow. Corny. Mediocre acting. Story line garbage

Do not watch this. It is slow, no action, poor acting. Given the severity of what the movie is about nobody's actions in the movie respond appropriately to it. I don't recommend this to even let play in the background while your doing miscellaneous things around your house.

Go back to singing

Well, Luke Goss should leave acting and directing to others who are good at that, and go back ti singing.

Bad

The lighting was horrible, the acting bearable and it was hard to follow. Overall a bad movie.

Not bad for Luke Goss' directorial debut, but his writing was awful

Very rarely do we find an actor who takes on too many roles in his own film and succeeds. Here is another example of that failure.

As actor, producer, writer and director, he was actually impressive for his directorial debut. His acting in this film was pretty decent for a B-grade actor. But he failed miserably in the writing department. Aside for it being only a decent 90 min length film, it felt much longer than that. The pace was very slow and the overly obvious and unnecessarily dragged out scenes should have been edited out. This film would have been better off being 60 mins.

Then there was the huge plot issues and unbelievable scenes - too many to point out and give away the spoilers, but you can't miss them, they're everywhere. He would have been better off passing on the writing and screenplay to someone with more experience to make many scenes more believable and avoid the massive plot and story issues.

The other major and obvious from the start issue was the sound. Someone needed to place the boom mics much closer to the actors. All dialog sounded like it was coming from another room. In some cases, the score was louder than the dialogue and I missed entire sentences. The score was also kinda lame and also made the pace feel slower than it was.

Overall still very ambitious and successful in his directorial debut, and rating this as a low budget amateur B-grade production, it's a 6/10 from me. Did I still enjoy it with its flaws? Yes. Would I recommend it or see it again? Most likely not.

Quite Good

The acting is fine. The story is fine and the action is fine. It has a good mix of suspense, thrill and action.

He hasn't overly sexualised the female characters although still a little cliche for the 21st century. For example, he could have used a male secretary...

The only real downside to this was the camera editing. The editor was just a little too artistic, which could have been some directing choice too.

Overall, for a first attempt on what is probably quite a limited budget, I think it was quite good and certainly not worth the 1 star reviews floating around here.

Ok 1st timer

Having seen the film only has 4 out of 10; I'd normally not bother, but as it's Luke from Bros and being a fan; decided to give it a go. I found it slow to start and felt it could have flowed better, both in script and action, however once I got into it, found it quite thought provoking for an action film and so gave it a 6 out of 10; I'm sure Lukes films will improve with experience.

Wow

The usual kidnapped wife and daughter genre and the good guy turns tough - but just in an awfully boring format. I like Luke Goss but this movie really sucked. I don't think there is much else I can add to that.

Amazing!!!

Luke's directorial debut is a massive success!! This movie pulls you in from the beginning and keeps you there the whole way through. Brilliantly written and brilliantly played out by all the actors. Luke took time to pay attention to the lighting and angles and it paid off. Absolutely fantastic! I look forward to more of his movies.

One hat too many

Goss the actor - solid. Delivers his usual brand of action-hero competence.

Goss the director - not bad for a rookie, but apparently not good enough to earn another gig behind the camera in the dozen films he's made in front of the lens since then.

Goss the writer - terrible. Plot full of holes; characters whose actions make no sense, all leading to a non-conclusive conclusion. No more screenplay credits either in his films after this one.

When Meat Loaf sang "Two out of Three Ain't Bad", he couldn't have known this turkey would come along to trash his premise.

Pyscho Thriller

I liked the film. I don't care about all the negative Nelly's out there, Luke Goss will keep making films, writing, producing, directing and starring. If you really look at this film, it's about a psychopath that is obsessed with this girl he once knew he kidnaps her and her daughter while the husband watches in horror, now he has to act fast to get his family back, before this crazy man does something really horrible, congrats on Luke's directorial debut.

Wonderful movie! Luke Goss is the best

A film that messes with our emotional, as if we were in this harrowing situation, makes us think about our family and friends. Luke's greatest performance and even better at directing this film. I particularly liked it, stirred me up, made me think more about our life.
