Tone, Script & Story: The story is about two children who go missing in search of their father's bike named parachute. Will they be able to retrieve their father's possession? Will they be able to reunite with their family?

The thing is the children fear their father specially the boy. The father is ruthless mainly towards the boy and can be seen thrashing him. As a result the children don't aim to go home but first find the bike.

I congratulate "Disney + Hotstar" to bring to us such a wonderful series.

Direction, Screenplay, Cinematography: The poor, their home, the police station, the medical, the route, the map, the van, the riots, the police all stand justified.

The story is clean and free from ambiguous storyline. What I mean is what happens to bike is common. Although what happens further may be rare.

Acting: I saw the Hindi dubbed the version and I found the dubbing of the children and their acting spectacular. Other entities were justified as well.

Final Verdict: Do watch it, you would cherish it.

Parachute is a rare gem in Indian television-a grounded, emotionally complex story that doesn't rely on over-the-top drama but hits just as hard. The portrayal of a strict, working-class father, a loving yet powerless mother, and two kids just trying to stay out of trouble is painfully real.

The child actors playing Varun and Rudra are brilliant-especially in the final episodes where fear, love, and guilt all collide. The story arc builds steadily from school report card drama to full-blown manhunt, and it never feels forced. It's suspenseful, heart-wrenching, and deeply reflective on parenting and generational trauma.

Yes, it stumbles in pacing at times, and a few moments are a bit melodramatic-but when it lands, it lands hard. The forest scene, the protest, the alleyway hug... these moments stick with you.

A film that made everyone in the family, including children, look at the adults..

A film that realistically portrays the attitude we show towards children..

A film that makes you realize how careless the police can be in cases that are not close to their feelings..

Each character holds the film up with realistic performances..

A film that makes every person who thinks that I am okay in my situation see the other side of them...

The two children, who are playing the role of an 11-year-old and a 7-year-old brother and sister, definitely deserve a National Award...

Two and a half hours and five episodes... A big salute to director Rasu Ranjith for the excellent screenplay that has been crafted without taking your mind off the screen for even a minute...
