This movie is based on Mihai Bendeac's play, The Wedding of Krecinski (Nunta lui Krecinski).
An early version of the script contained some violent scenes that would have earned the movie an R rating. They involved Visinescu, an iconic character played by Mihai Bendeac in other TV productions. The scenes were removed in subsequent versions.
Loredana wore the same costume she wore back in 1986 when she won the Mamaia Music Festival with the song Ma Intreb Ce Sa Fac which is featured in the film.
