Anwar Says: Murder mysteries are difficult to narrate and the role of script writer is of equal importance as of the director. This Jiocinema release has the right direction and started with a Hollywood kind of web series but script was not smart enough to keep the audience stick to the edge of seat.
Actors are good, specially the lead Asha Negi , visible in almost every frame. Rightly not many sub-plots were chosen and the background introduction of characters are short. Normally, on OTT , producers take the web series to 8-9 episodes by introducing these gimmicks. Overall, the casting is B- class and the characters of Police Officers are below average.
Suspense is predictable and thrill is missing. Learnt a new word- PRENUP - meaning a pre- nuptial agreement regarding ownership of respective asset by couple, if the marriage fails. Still watchable because of cinematography and efforts of actors.

Jio Cinema's "Honeymoon Photographer" is a captivating six-episode series led by the talented Asha Negi. Written by Karmanya Ahuja and directed by Arjun Srivastava, the show masterfully weaves a story filled with suspense, drama, and unexpected twists, making it a compelling watch.
Asha Negi shines in the lead role, delivering a nuanced performance that anchors the series with depth and emotion. Her portrayal is both relatable and layered, effectively driving the narrative forward. While Jason, as Elvin, plays a supporting role, his sharp dialogue delivery and charm add a vital spark to the story, making him a standout among the supporting cast.
The show excels in its pacing and plot twists, keeping viewers on edge with its well-written episodes. The narrative unfolds seamlessly, with strong direction by Srivastava and a script that balances drama and mystery with finesse.
However, the series does fall short in fully developing some of its antagonistic elements. The characters of Romesh and his bodyguard feel underexplored, and a deeper backstory for them could have added more weight to their motivations and the overall tension.
Despite this minor flaw, Honeymoon Photographer remains an engaging series that deserves appreciation for its clever writing and standout performances. With Asha Negi leading the charge, it's a testament to the power of well-executed storytelling. A solid 3.5 out of 5, this show is worth a watch for fans of thrilling, character-driven dramas.

Crime Thrillers Movies and Web Series are today's sensations. But it doesn't mean viewers would like to watch only the criminal activities and brutalities. This has been the problem with the Films and Web Series which are coming in different OTT Platforms in various Languages these days. This is bound to happen if creativity is compromised for sake of sensation.
The same thing has happened with the Honeymoon Photographer; the Web Series in Hindi released in 2024. The Title of the Movie suggests that action will revolve round events related to a Honeymoon. But too many heterogeneous Contents have been yoked with the central or pivotal theme which create distractions. Thus, the element of Suspense is missing which is the most important ingredient of such Movies and Web Series. Similarly, some Irrelevant events have been included in the Crime Thriller. Apart from this, there are a number unnecessary characters. The storyline of Honeymoon Photographer is weak one.
But the weakest part of the Web Series is its Direction and Casting. Poor Direction makes the Web Series dull and monotonous. Casting displays that Web Series has included some incompetent Actors and Actresses. Their acting shows that they need to learn the basic and a lot of course corrections to look it convincing.
On the whole, the Web Series is an utter failure in every respect. I must not recommend anybody watching this Worthless Content and waste time.

I stumbled upon this murder mystery, and with Asha Negi headlining it, there are two good reasons to give it a go: I love murder mysteries, and I find Asha to be a talented actor.
The story follows a honeymoon photographer who becomes the prime suspect in the murder of a newlywed groom. With everyone harboring secrets, she must clear her name before facing a possible sentence.
The series has a promising start, introducing the characters and setting the dynamics between them. However, the police procedures come off as childish, with the officers behaving like novices. The show isn't gritty or overly serious, so it never feels boring. Surprisingly, for its genre, it's a lighthearted watch. The twist in the plot is well-executed, and it keeps you guessing until a few episodes in.
Asha Negi delivers a solid performance, bringing depth to her character, which has quite a few layers. Jason Tham plays an endearing friend and does his part well. Rajeev Siddhartha is decent, though his performance feels a bit repetitive. Apeksha Porwal and Sahil Salathia, as the newlyweds, fit their roles well and add to the story.
Cinematographically, it works, with scenes set in Goa that add a chill vibe to the narrative. Even the Mumbai sequences are captured aesthetically. A little more work on the script could have enhanced the series, especially by adding more strategic police tactics or creative escapes by the suspects.
It's not groundbreaking, but if you're looking for a light watch, this one could definitely make it to your list.

Good potential but because of poor acting and weak screenplay end with one of worst show of this year. Non serious and very very weak screenplay.
All the things went poor. Below average acting, background music and story went too bad.
Don't waste time to watch this show.
Female leads are made eye candy and had not done their role seriosuly. Jokingly take the reference of cult classics like ocean 11-13.
One of the poorest scripts i have ever seen.
No chemistry between wizard and female photographer. So much illogical and trash won't make any sense after few episodes. Disappointed and watlste of time.

Very poor storyline. Screenplay is boring too. Nothing much that interests in the story, there are lot of loopholes in the "Suspense Thriller". They try to infuse comedy at times which is crappy. It gets unbearable by episode 4. The police are shown too lazy who never manage to catch the protagonist although they have several occasions to catch her, which is again laughable. The pen drive story containing secrets of transactions of billionaire family is similar to 70s file/diary story. Overall the web series is one with a dull story, at times bad acting, and overall uninteresting. Not worth spending your 4+ hours.

Thrillers need very good actors toonot just anyone throwing artificiality. Cast is very bad except Asha Negi who barely meets the minimum requirement. Direction from the scene one starts generating otherwise thoughts in viewer's mind. Very poor storyline with a run of the mill sequences one after another. Too bring to watch. Waste of time. Absolute trash. I could hardly gather courage to watch till end. Most audience, I am sure would quit in the middle somewhere. Photography is excellent. Sound recording is far more clearer than most of the movies and OTT series. Syar cast is below average and so are the performances. None of the actors look real to keep the audience engage. That is the main failure.

Honeymoon Photographer on Jio Cinema is a tour de force in the murder mystery genre. This film masterfully intertwines romance, suspense, and intrigue from start to finish. The storyline is brilliantly crafted, full of unexpected twists that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout.
Arjun Srivasstava's direction is nothing short of genius. He weaves a tapestry of intense emotions and thrilling suspense that captures the essence of filmmaking excellence. His ability to bring out the best in every scene is evident, making the film an unforgettable experience.
The performances are stellar, with each character adding depth and dimension. The cinematography is exquisite, highlighting picturesque settings that contrast beautifully with the film's darker themes. The soundtrack complements the narrative perfectly, enhancing every chilling moment.
Overall, Honeymoon Photographer is a must-watch for anyone who loves an engaging mystery. Kudos to Arjun Srivasstava for delivering such a captivating piece of cinema. Don't miss it!

Story was going well but ending ruined it. The actors were not good and that made things a LOT worse. The actress that played ambika did by far the worst acting and for some reason was given the biggest role. Good actors were given smaller roles so we had to suffer through the whole show watching this actress do a poor job. Like I said, the show had good potential but if they chose a better actress for the main role it could have been much better. Story was a little off at some points too and didn't make much sense but that can be negligible. There were many unnecessary provocative scenes. The show had a lot of potential to be amazing but this potential was not met 👎

Story- 2/5
Script- 1:5
Actors-4/5, except plastic females
Acting- 4/5
Location- 5/5
Cinematography- 3/5
Music- 5/5
It is a murder mystery. The movie revolves around-
High societies- lack of trust and transparency, broken families, it's all about money, buy anything.
And on the other end- working class, principles, belief system, processes and policies.
And then corrupt cops and, good cops.
And comic characters as fat policeman always sneezing etc. It works no longer guys- wake up!!
Off course it boils down to fraud, corruption and money. This time Pharma industry.
The story just dies on the 3rd episode. Only the 1st episode has a pull and that is what keeps the audience going. Sad to see that surprise elements were not handed well due to sad direction and script.
The only good news is that there are no drugs. But lead actors with plastic on their faces is so sad! They seem to have lost their plot.
Such a pathetic end. So predicable. It was like a children stupid game. Keeping jumping between suspects.
There are so many simple but much better movies around.
This one is just avoidable.

The first episode is good, but after that, it becomes dull and monotonous. This series is a clear example of how a great concept can suffer from poor execution. What starts with promise quickly turns into a pedestrian watch.
After the first two episodes, the storyline drags, making it easy to lose interest. Acting-wise, everyone is just okay-nothing extraordinary. It's the kind of series you can keep on in the background while multitasking without missing much.
If you're short on time, just watch the first and last episode-you won't feel like you missed anything. Largely looks like a story written by novice writer without any understanding of how to build a character and motive.

Waste of Time, If you watch suspense movies you will easily figure out in 2 episode only , what will going to happen in ending.
I watched till the end because I was hoping that story might be different but What I expected Everything happens in the same way.
Ambika and Elvin , zoya characters are good and rest are below average .
Most importantly Direction is very very Poor , I think story was good but portrayed in very bad way.
It is joke on the name of thriller . Casual story no suspense, no thrill, no action, no comedy.
Background music is also very poor.
In short don't waste your time , watch something else.

Watched a decent whodunnit after very long. There has been quite a void of good fun murder mysteries.... I could not guess the killer till the very end.....The suspicions going on different characters keeps you on your toes..... Absolutely nail bitingly thrilling and engaging. The acting of the cast was awesome, Asha Negi is just fantastic, the way she has portrayed the character with various layers is amazing...... The screenplay was very tight and was very coherent......The director does a good job of keeping the suspense alive and world building is great too. The climax blew my mind, the twist in the end is amazing....
