It felt as if the filmmakers were more concerned with fitting everything into a two-hour runtime than actually telling the story properly. Instead of diving into the characters' inner worlds and relationships, they merely skimmed the surface, showing the events without the feelings behind them. The transitions between major plot points were rushed, and many of the most memorable moments from the book were either changed completely or left out. Because of this, the audience never gets to experience the range of emotions - love, pain, confusion, and joy - that made the book so captivating in the first place.
Even though the movie ends the same way as the book, the journey there feels hollow. The adaptation loses the raw emotion and sincerity that defined the original story. It's a shame, because the potential was definitely there; the book gave them everything they needed to make a heartfelt, powerful film. I can only hope that the rest of the My Fault: London - will learn from these mistakes and deliver a better, more faithful adaptation that truly honors the spirit of the source material.
The story beautifully explores how love can be both healing and destructive - how two people can find light in each other while still being trapped in their own darkness. The performances are raw and emotional, making every glance, every silence, and every fight feel heartbreakingly real.
While the plot might be familiar to fans of forbidden love stories, the way it's told - with tenderness, chaos, and sincerity - makes Our Fault stand out. It's not a perfect love story, but that's exactly what makes it unforgettable.
You don't get the racing scenes no more but you get to see everyone in their adulthood navigating that life.

Noah: They say that when you come close to dying, your whole life flashes before your eyes like in a movie. Or like in a book. Before my eyes I've always had yours. When it wasn't what we wanted... when we started playing around... when we couldn't help ourselves... when other people tried to stop us... that gaze always kept us connected. Until now.
