Hari is a lawyer who has no morals or scruples. He wins any case in any manner for money. He is married to Sulakshana who is handicapped . She is very rich by birth . He pursues her from college. She believes him innocently and marries him despite warnings from friends . Very soon , without listening to well wishers, she writes all her property to him .

They live in a palatial bungalow far from the city.

Purnima is a dancer . Her mother Manorama is very ambitious and keeps taking her from stage to stage .

Hari meets Purnima and is smitten by her beauty and attitude . He wins her over slowly despite knowing that she has heard of him and his misdeeds .

She too falls in his love net and very soon falls in love with him without knowing his marital status .

Meanwhile Sulakshana comes to know about Purnima through her well meaning family lawyer. When she confronts him, he kidnaps her and keeps her in a far away cabin . The world believes that she is dead as they find her broken wheel chair near by .

Ravi , the local police was the college mate of Hari and Sulakshana .Though he too loved her , he loses her out to Hari thanx to his manipulations .

He takes up this case and comes investigating . He informs Purnima about Hari's real intentions . But by this time she realises that she is pregnant . With no way out , she starts bonding with him .

She follows him to the forest cabin . In a scuffle , Sulakshana kills her assuming she is her husband Hari.

Meanwhile ,Hari wraps her body ( assuming its Sulakshana ) and drowns it in the middle of the lake .

By this time Ravi and his team have arrived and he is taken captive. No mention of Purnima's family is shown after this .

Sulakshana is free finally . Killing pregnant innocent Purnima is not a good ending .

The BGM is bit different and pleasing to the ears . Manorama and Anuradha ( as a dancer ) light up the screen . Purnima made it big in Telugu later.

Hari always wears black glasses through out the movie even at nights to show his villain status .

Ravi is fine and invokes a lot of sympathy as a misunderstood lover . Hari looks like sleek in every frame .

Purnima is cute and fresh .

Sulakshana is perfect as the melancholy loving wife who is confused and shocked by her husband's attitude . Shot in lush Kodaikanal locales with some catchy tunes, this is a perfect family thriller.
