I can say that this drama is legend. The storyline is very well written by the writer, even this is his debut as a writer. One drama with various genres, and all of them blend smoothly. Not to forget, the acting of all the actors. Even the side actors are great. Of course, Park Shin Hye is one reason why we should watch this drama. 21 years of traveling the world as an actress, with many people underestimating her acting skills and claiming she always plays weak roles. In this drama, we can see Park Shin Hye's extraordinary acting spectrum. She can convey emotions well, even the action scenes are almost all she does herself. Park Shin Hye is the life of this drama. I bet she will get award by her acting here. The writer of this series even wrote it by imagine Shin Hye as Bit Na. As new writer, she's so good, every episode we're not gonna get bored. I'm still watching it on going so I hope it will be good until end. Manifesting. Highly recommended to watch.

After making a mistake in hell a demon possesses the murdered body of a judge and is instructed to send ten souls to hell to atone for her error. As she begins her new life as a judge she comes across a dedicated police officer who has a tragic past and when she begins to send souls to hell he becomes determined to bring her to justice. The judge Kang Bit-na is played superbly by Park Shin-hye and the detective Han Da-on is played by Jae-young Kim whose opinion of her starts to soften. I personally enjoyed the earlier episodes where she was less human and exacting revenge but it is still an entertaining story and worth a watch. Be aware though it is quite violent at times in the depiction of gruesome murders.

I have loved Park Shin Hye since The Heirs with all the star-studded casts. The show is something I didn't expect to like since nowadays, kdramas don't impress me that easily. However, I was not expecting to like the story, the casts and everything about it. Park Shin Hye is really a versatile actress, she has been with all types of genre and I like her the most if it is action like in Sisyphus (Kdrama) and Alive (Film), she can really pull off being so badass. She has been such an amazing actress that is hard to beat. She is one of my favorite female leads and I am so happy that even she is now married and a mom, she still looks so young and healthy!

Park Shin-hye shines in this amazing K-drama, delivering exceptional performances that truly bring her characters to life. The show captivates viewers with its impressive character development and an engaging storyline that evolves with each episode. As the plot unfolds, audiences we deeply connected to the characters, and the revenge theme is just to die for! Even non-K-drama fans are drawn in, becoming addicted to the narrative that serves what they truly deserve. The combination of Park's talent, intricate storytelling, and high production quality creates an unforgettable viewing experience that resonates long after the credits roll. The ultimate punishment is thrilling to watch!

The reviewer who complained about the romance subplot is so off it's wild.
First of all, this show's actual genre is crime romance. It's listed as a romance. So why would they expect there not to be a romance. And the romance itself is a slow burn and is given way less screen time than the crime and horror aspects.
Second, the male lead's character arc is completely tied in with the overall plot arc and with FLs character arc, he's not just there to look pretty or make us swoon, he is very important to every aspect of the story and drives much of the action. He doesn't just pop in to be romantic, he is key to the central plot of the serial killer and is the reason why the FL even has a character arc, cause...
Third, the FL is not a judge trying to advance her career, she's a demon trying to complete a mission. She's there for one job and one job only -- to find and kill murderers to send them to hell. The ML is not distracting some story of a judge trying to become a better judge, he's making her interesting by being the key to her humanizing as a demon, which is the entire central point of her character arc. Watching a demon go around coldly killing murderer after murderer with no change would get real boring after a few eps.
It seems that reviewer just wanted a completely different story, with different characters and a different plot. Instead of looking at what story this show is trying to actually tell, and if it's doing a good job.
Which, it really is. This show has so much going for it and the romance only adds to that. The FL and ML have fantastic chemistry. The writing is very tight and knew where it was going from the start, everything connects well together and develops so organically. Good directing a great editing. All the actors are nailing their roles. It's fun at times, scary at times, moving at times. It's been my favorite drama this year.

Surprised at the high rating. The supporting actors are all very good, as is so common in Korean TV. Let's face it: Ms. Park not a great actress. In fact, she's not even a good one by Korean standards. Regarded as a star, her acting is far from stellar. It's always over the top, as though she trained for the stage, with her eye-bulging, eyebrow wagging, head snapping, hear-tossing, and yelling. It is pretty much the same schtick as one saw in Doctor Slump, but she doesn't here have the benefit of a good male lead like Park Hyung-sik opposite her for balance. This male lead here is wooden and boring. Watch this series only if desperate. A generous score of 6!

.It's a really good series, but only good
Park Shin Hye really played his role perfectly
It had special effects and an interesting idea and scenario, and the story was good. In these 6 episodes that were aired and I saw them, but on the other hand, the characterization of some characters was not good, and we could not sympathize with the victims of the serial killers that Qazi killed because The characterization and design of the angels and demons was weak and had few story details
So far, the score is 7
Hopefully it will be better in the final 8 episodes.
But overall, the series has many positive points, such as the beautiful acting of the actors, especially Park Shin-hye, and the story idea and the captivating story line that I mentioned, and it had the design of Lu Qishan.

Two amazing performances, Park Shin-hey take the character to another level, saving the serie in many ways. Her intriguing portrayal of the Judge, fighting scenes, and her catch phrase sending the bad guys to where they belong, was one of her best work I´ve seen. The Second one is from one of the culprits, was one of the best performance I've ever seen in life. Was so believable that made me flabbergasted when the truth came out.
A plot that could be much better, and a few loopholes, but in the overall the end was acceptable.
This drama brings a subject quite controversial, it's known Heaven and Hell have different interpretations in cultural, traditions, and even rules of a people, the west and the east are the better example.
But in this drama, the story takes a rough, and disrespect road, making Christ and His message, looks like a nonsense and the whole Hell, demons and counterpart, the saviours of the day and life.

Ngl sometime I felt the plot is weak and the solutions were shallow. But the drama is enjoyable anyway. Loved the acting and the chemistry between em. I just wanted to see different criminals they were all the same. Hope to see some changes in S2 if there's really a new season. Oh also saw different side of park shin hye in this drama and it introduced me to a good actor it was my first time seeing him as the lead.

"The Judge from Hell" stands out for its strong female lead and compelling crime stories, yet falls short due to an unnecessary and forced romance between the two lead characters. The show's brightest aspect should be the female judge as the name shows, who is portrayed as an intelligent, principled, and ambitious woman, unafraid to challenge violent murderers and question the human laws.
Unfortunately, this momentum is disrupted by the romantic subplot, which feels both forced and unnecessary. The male lead, intended as a love interest, lacks chemistry with the female lead and often comes across as intrusive. His behavior borders on stalker-like, frequently inserting himself into the female lead's life and professional affairs without adding any meaningful development to the story. The romantic tension feels artificial and distracts from the central legal drama, which is far more compelling.
What makes this romantic subplot even more frustrating is how it detracts from the female lead's character development. Instead of focusing on her growth during her main and sub missions, the show repeatedly shifts attention to the awkward and poorly developed romance. This detracts from her professional arc and reduces the impact of her character's journey. The directors seem to have fallen into the trap of thinking that a female protagonist requires a romantic counterpart, even when it doesn't fit the story.
The forced romance ultimately undermines the potential of "The Judge from Hell." Had the series focused solely on its strong female lead and the captivating crime stories, it could have been an exceptional drama. Instead, the romance feels like a distraction, pulling attention away from the more interesting aspects of the show and making it difficult for viewers to stay invested in the main plot. While the series has its merits, the decision to force a romance weakens what could have been a more powerful and focused narrative.

If you don't like it, that's your opinion, but not for everyone. There's no need to come here and share negative opinions, it doesn't matter to those who enjoyed it. If you watched it and didn't like it, that's your problem. There are people who genuinely liked it. You can give it whatever rating you want, but leaving negative comments isn't helpful. We don't all have the same taste, so if it's not for you, that's your issue. You can share your opinion and explain what you didn't like, but avoid leaving overly negative comments that might discourage others from watching the series-especially when it's not true. The majority of people who rated the series actually liked it, and only a small minority didn't. So if you didn't enjoy it, at least be kind and considerate. Leave mature and respectful comments rather than overly harsh or mean ones that don't accurately reflect what really happened in the series.

While I enjoyed this series, I felt the script really held it back. It left a lot of plot holes that were just skimmed over and even though it is tagged as having 'romance', the romantic thread was very thin - especially for the first half and even when the script tried to booster it toward then end, it felt very forced.
That said, the fantasy/horror/crime aspects of the series were quite good (if you ignore the glaring plot holes). Park Shin-hye nailed the role of the demonic narcissistic Justitia/Kang Bitna. The gleeful look she took on when punishing murderers was perfect. And the unrepentant narcissism she exuded when dealing with other humans was fun to watch. Fun fact: Park Shin-hye wore around 300 different outfits during the series. I don't usually pay that much attention to the wardrobe in these series but after I read that I started paying attention, I find that fact entirely plausible. She seemed to have on a different outfit in almost every scene. I feel for the wardrobe dept.
Kim In-kwon and Kim A-young were excellent as Kang Bitna's put upon lackey and Justitia's biggest fan-girl respectively. I especially liked the joyful look Ah-rong got when offering to rough up Da-on.
The cinematography, special effects and soundtrack were also great and helped overcome some of the scripting deficits.
The series is definitely worth a watch...just ignore the plot holes.

I totally fell in 💕 with the Judge Kang Bitna character. I loved every second of the show. Park Shin-Hye nailed the character of the demon judge. She is incredibly beautiful and her outfits were glowing. The costume designer deserves an award. I would put this show on par with Crash Landing on You, Squid Game, and Flower if Evil. I wish there was more romance between the leads. The action scenes were well done as well. There is a lead to a second season but they should leave this show as it is. It will remain a classic. Often times the subsequent seasons have diluted or repetitive plots. That said this show is meant for a family audience.

Korean Drama '' The Judge From Hell '' is a revenge fantasy with many criminal cases that get explored.
The drama has a satisfying plot when it comes to giving justice, even though one can argue about its fairness and morality. But the cases the Judge takes up are so frustrating that the audience can't help but root for her to give them a 'proper' punishment.
The fantasy element, moreover, was nicely handled, as it was proven by the way they concluded the story. In addition, there were a lot of small details that enhanced it and made the lore compelling.
On the other hand, the final episode was pretty much a filler. Yes, it gave some additional moments with the characters, but plot vice, it didn't offer much. Also, the romance was nice and sweet at times, as it provided plenty of funny and cute moments, and fortunately, wasn't the focus of the drama. But, in the end, was kind of rushed, so a batter handle of it would have been nicer.
Finally, the performances were all great, but the leading lady stole all the thunder.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

Worst K-show I've watched in quite some time.
A female "judge" from hell does something wrong now she has to go up to the real world, find evil criminals, make them confess, and then kill them so they are sent to hell.
Sounds incredibly stupid?
Oh, yes, and it is.
This judge from hell poses as a human judge and then basically goes around, finds some culprits and then beats the hell out of them until they confess.
Then she kills them with a magic dagger to send them to hell.
So every episode she finds some unlucky criminal she tortures at length to beat a confession out of them.
If you are into torture movies like "Hostel" this might be the show for you.
If you were looking for some intelligent and witty entertainment with a clever script you are at the wrong place.
Instead of making the judge from hell investigate a crime and then devise some intelligent, non-violent plan to send the culprits to hell - the braindead makers of that show went the easy way.
Why come up with a clever script, when the judge from hell can just torture the culprits every episode.
It's like Sherlock Holmes finding a culprit and then just beating the hell out of him until they confess, and then kills them.
And all the culprits know that they get killed once they confess, but they just stand there and let themselves be tortured.
Not one of them tries to run away.
"Hello there, evil hell judge, since you are torturing me so nicely, of course I will tell you everything you want to hear, so you won't kill me. Wait! What? You are going to kill me anyway?! This must be the most stupid TV show ever we both are in right now! Can I call my agent first, please?"
If there is a hell for untalented K-show makers, I hope some judge from hell sends them there.

I highly recommend this drama. Park Shin Hye knocked it out of the park with her superb acting skills! It has been quite a while since I have enjoyed a Korean drama so much. I loved the action scenes as well as the more meaningful scenes.
The Judge From Hell is a legal drama that is also a human story. The characters all have such moving development.
The Judge From Hell is truly the best drama of 2024! With its unique and fresh storyline, it does not disappoint! Even if this is not your typical genre, you should give it a try.
If I had one complaint it would be that the male lead was a bit too soft and shy for my liking.
Overall, one heck of a ride!

I think Korean Drama industries took this year as a 10 year challenge. Everyone know 2014-15 was the most golden era of the kdrama. Although we got many more beautiful drama in between 2014-24. But this year kdrama industry took their work toouch seriously i think. From the beginning of this year, they released many best drama in this year. Starting from "lovely runner" and now end with another masterpiece "the judge from hell". Also, in between this two drama we got many more lovely and interesting drama. So undoubtedly this year was something else for kdrama lover. Now coming to the feedback on this drama.
FIRST OF ALL, THIS DRAMA IS NOT ANY HARDCORE ROMANTIC, CLINGY TYPE DRAMA.
So, if you want too much chemistry in between two lead character, then i think you can skip this drama. Because you will felt boring by waiting to see their chemistry. Although, from the beginning they care about each other, but their chemistry strongly buildup after the 11-12th episode. And you will see glimpse of some kiss scene in last 2 episode only. So undoubtedly its not a clingy fully romantic drama, like "Doctor slump".
Why i said "hotel del Luna"!? Because, this drama's chemistry between two lead character is like that drama. But i will say this one is far far better than del Luna. If you fantasy and thriller lover then trust me you will not feel bored even in a single episode. Each episode is full of suspense and enjoyable.
The female lead character was something else in this drama. His fashion and beauty took this drama to the another level. And before killing a sinner, her acting was next level. Actually if i say she totally controled this drama in one hand. She was damn good in acting, fashion, expression etc. Although male lead character was not too much strong but he did his best.
I think this drama will get season 2 also, as they left so many question at the last. Moreover, in this season lead characters didn't get too much screen time together to create chemistry. I think in season 2 they will get that chance with a happy ending.
One of the best thing i like in this drama is that, no bul*l*sh*it love triangle.which i hate most in kdrama.
