The Wrong Paris (2025) is another romantic comedy movie streaming on Netflix and it was another pretty decent movie.
Positives for The Wrong Paris (2025): This movies does pretty much everything you've seen in all of these Netflix romantic comedy movie and that's good for the target audience. The cast does a good job here with Miranda Cosgrove as Dawn, Pierson Fode as Trey McAllen III and Madison Pettis as Alexis. The other characters are okay for the archetypes they're playing here which is fine for this movie. The movie looks nice and is shot very well with the comedy you would expect from this movie. The movie moves at a good pace that keeps your attention. And finally, the ending is pretty good for what it's going for within the context of the story.
Negatives for The Wrong Paris (2025): This movie is literally the same romantic comedy that Netflix likes to do just with different characters and a different setting. The plot is predictable with the character arcs and you can see them coming from a mile away. The humor is very standard and barebones with what you see on screen and it fell flat. And finally, the movie is basically background noise for other activities that you can be working on
Overall, The Wrong Paris (2025) is another decent Netflix romantic comedy movie that the target audience will enjoy even if it isn't that special from the other movies I've seen a billion times before this one.

6.1/10 (Definitely Recommend)
Honestly, I enjoyed this film a heck of a lot better than I expected. It's charming, funny, and witty. The whole reality show aspect is a little out there on the realism it provides, but it also wouldn't surprise me if that's exactly how things go behind the scenes. The chemistry that Miranda Cosgrove and Pierson Fode had was genuinely awesome and natural. They were a couple you could cheer for from start to finish. Also, they naturally felt like actual cow-folk. I would totally be down to watch this one again because I think it gives off the appropriate romantic vibes that one would look for in this style of movie. I would also say this is more a girls night movie, but a man who's comfortable with cheesy romance may want to attend this date night movie with his significant other.
Overall, great chemistry, mediocre story, and sappy outcome. A reality show romance that is more enjoyable than a Hallmark film. Definitely recommend checking this one out.
That's it for now. Thanks for taking time to read my review. Happy watching and enjoy the show!

I love these types of movies where it's so predictable you're literally just there for the ride. This is the type of movie where you're in a mindset of just mindless fun without any plot twist drama to ruin your day because yes it takes a whole different mood when I want to watch something that can potentially stress me out like someone suddenly dying from cancer trope in the middle of the show. This was not that. And did it deliver the fun? Yes.
It's a basic hallmark like rom-com but added with that spoofiness they did with the dating show tropes which makes it funnier. The stereotype of the ladies had me laughing. Another good thing about this is the chemistry between the leads Pierson Fodé and Miranda Cosgrove. Like the moment they met I was just smiling silly. And their interactions in several scenes I definitely saw sparks. It's just a good amount of corny and cheesy that it makes me feel good watching them together. The only thing that put me off here is the weird camera focus they kept doing. It was like a bad acid dream trip sometimes.
Overall a definite recommend if you want to sit back with some wine, a light laugh, and old fashioned cheesy romance.

I only decided to watch this because I saw two things: First, Miranda Cosgrove was in it. I haven't paid attention to her in many years, but I thought "She's still doing stuff? Huh. Wonder if she has anything to offer these days in terms of acting."
The second thing was, on the cover was a person that I thought I should recognize, but didn't know why. (It turns out he was in the movie MARSHMALLOW, which I watched a couple weeks ago).
With that little bit of ammunition, I started watching this movie with no hope at all. It was a lost cause, I was just curious to see if Miranda had anything to offer as an actress these days.
Things were playing out like an After-School-Special, Hallmark Channel messfest of a show.
I was about to shut this movie off. But then, about 25 minutes in, Pierson Fode has his first scene... and he's playing up the whole Matthew McConaughey schtick with aplomb, and - AND - the two of them have a chemistry together in that first scene that instantly made me start to pay attention.
Then, once she starts participating in the "reality TV show" shenanigans, I was pretty heavily invested into this ridiculous, fun, good-natured, pitch-perfect breakdown of reality TV as a whole, and how these attention-grabbing sycophantic reprobates can be exposed with the comedy of such antics in full effect.
Thus, with the obvious chemistry that makes the Cosgrove/Fode relationship something worth rooting for... the drama is going to be predictable as heck but WHO SHOULD ACTUALLY CARE? What matters is... will this journey be entertaining?
I can say with full confidence that "YES!!!" - this movie is a delight from start to finish. It's light-hearted, and completely predictable. But there are a couple key elements that make this worth watching: 1. The two leads spark off each other like lighting on a dry log.
2. This movie knows exactly how simple it is. It doesn't try to be anything more than a barrel of fun with silly humor.
This is one of those movies.
So glad I watched it.

- Sometimes it's nice just to have a breath of fresh air and watch a movie that shirks pretention, and knows exactly what it's supposed to do, and follows through with that concept.
This is one of those movies.
So glad I watched it.
No pun intended - this feels a bit like a Hallmark movie! And Netflix has I think officially announced they want that market - not the first movie and foray into that territory and surely not the last.
The two leads are charismatic - they really do a good job. Even if we know where all of this is going. With the bumps along the road. The fact that our main male lead has a six pack and is showing it off in the most inappropriate times ... well let's say that all is done with a wink wink ... otherwise you'd be annoyed by it. If you are not into hot sexy male bodies that is of course.
But yeah story wise that is quite ... well on the nose to put it mildly. Let's move away from the visual though and get on with the players ... the story with the love candidates (reality shows) ... it's a sort of refreshing take. And the woman being strong and independent is also a nice touch. Still this can't completely avoid cliches ... the acting is kind of making away with some of them.
And then the side characters - one "enemy" (well cliches remember) and one who is supportive of our female lead ... both doing a great job. You know what is up - watch only if you are prepared for what it obviously is selling you.

- TriviaPierson Fode, who plays Trey, made his acting debut on iHalfoween (2012) of "iCarly", starring Miranda Cosgrove.
- ErroresWhen Rachel introduces Trey to the contestants, she does so as "your bachelor". The name of the dating show is "The Honeypot", and the person looking for love is referred to as the "honey", so Rachel should have introduced Trey to the women as "your honey".
