The bad: it lasts too long, it just does, 30 minutes or even 45 minutes would have been perfect, but I got bored after a while, because after the 10th s)*t and s*x joke they started to sound the same.
There is no dramatic arch in this performance. Heck no, it's just random s*x and s(*t jokes. NONstop. NO story. NO message. That's okay but you better make sure those s*x jokes are really good then, but unfortunately they were more of the kind of jokes teenagers would make. Can be fun for once or twice, but not for 75 minutes on end.
This material must have been an actual debut performance because Adam Sandler was constantly laughing about his own jokes, up to a point that it became embarrassing becausing he was laughing harder about his own (s*x) jokes than the audience.
Not any good? What was really to like though was hearing Adam Sandler play the acoustic guiter, the bass guitar and the electric guitar. This guy can really play! I am not kiddin'. He can not sing though, he sounds awful, but that's only contributing to the comical effect of his short songs which are basically long (s*x) jokes.
For sure this is definitely not the greatest stand up performance, but not terrible either. Should have been cut shorter though, because I got BORED.

Excellent/authentic show - Sandler had some hilarious bits and had me rolling laughing. I know the show was staged but it felt authentic and even the audience wanting to fight at one point was hilarious. He brings his musical abilities to show and funny song writing as well. Honestly could have watched this for another hour it was that good. I enjoy comedy specials where the audience is more intimate and not a massive arena. If you are not a fan of Sandler then pass on this - but if you enjoy Sandler (without the weird noises) this will be a treat to watch. His ode at the end to comedy was a great way to wrap up this special.
In an age where so much preparation goes into stand up comedy specials.. Adam Sandler unassumingly makes his way onto a small stage in an average venue, has several things technically go wrong, wins over the crowd with his charm, and is very funny.
He had both short and long 'bits' that just 'worked'.. and who knew he could play guitar!
I knew him as a funny movie writer/actor.. then I saw his serious roles in his latest movie to be impressed again.
I have not seen him perform outside of his movies before so I had no expectations of his stand up. He is very talented and this has added to my appreciation of him. Great show!

Brilliant. Best stand up I've had the pleasure of watching for a while. Top shelf jokes that really made me laugh. The balloon one & the dictionary brother one had me in stitches.
Then again the Funky bass skit & the immaculate higher vocal on the daughter still needs me for party alcohol supplies is classic. The Sandman actually delivers from start to finish. It's all quite remarkable & will claim a spot in some of the greatest comedy in history i reckon. Maybe I'm a little musically byassed. I admire the compliment he gives the keyboard dude .I think that's the start of the daughter one.
Respect to u Adam, love ur work man.
Here's one for ur next ...as if u haven't blown audiences away enough... Go an open D tuning on 1 of ur guitars & grab a thick glass slide ,Do a bluesy 1 4 5 progression ....start with an Elmore James open & slide that baby up to the 12th fret....& I'll leave the lyrics in ur capable hands (mind) George Thorogood & Billy Gibbons will love it but George will be in Open G & Jesus Gibbons just left Chicago...& he's bound for New Orleans !

You will definitely resonate with this special more if you followed Adam's earlier works. I used to listen to his tapes at school in the early 90's. I remember laughing with friends and talking about his jokes and songs. Part of the fun in this special is "&^$ goes wrong and you think it's on purpose but you kinda don't know. My only issues was sometimes it was hard to hear what he was saying or singing. If you like Sandler, you will have a good time! And that's all that matters, it was a very fun hour for me and I'm thankful for the reminders of early days and memories that came flooding back.
