Watched this movie at the Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFES).
Just like the U. S. is deporting illegal immigrants now, Russia deported thousands of Georgian nationals in 2006-though I don't know much about that history. This film, set against that backdrop, follows the relationship between a Georgian woman and an elderly Russian man as they navigate personal struggles amid political turmoil.
While the cinematography was excellent, the extremely slow narration didn't work for me. The pacing made it difficult to stay fully engaged, and the prolonged silences felt excessive at times. One enthusiastic viewer next to me fell asleep, and two others walked out mid-film, which pretty much summed up the experience!
