In my opinion, Autumn at Apple Hill is enjoyable from beginning to end and is worth the watch.
Elise (Erin Cahill) has inherited a hometown inn from her grandparents (of course, because who doesn't own an inn in these movies?!), but is limited in funds and is too stuck in her antiquated ways to keep it afloat and relevant. In short, the place is breaking down, bookings have plummeted and it's losing money fast. Enter guest Luke (Wes Brown), a former local who's now a hard-charging hotel titan forced to take a vacay from the family business by his mother (portrayed by Paula Boudreau). As you can guess, Elise and Luke learn a lot about the inn and themselves as the story progresses. Does the inn ultimately get saved? Watch and find out.
I always remember Erin Cahill for one of my favorite Hallmark Xmas movies (Sleigh Bells Ring), and she remains a very watchable lead. Wes Brown never disappoints and together they have very good chemistry. The rest of the cast is just as enjoyable, especially main supporting players Boudreau, Sarah Luby and Adam Hurtig. This is a very good movie to watch as you decorate the house for Halloween or if you're in the mood for an entertaining fall rom-com. I highly recommend it.

Wow! Hallmark has done it again Erin Cahill and Wes Brown are the two best actors Hallmark has. Their chemistry is amazing and both actors do a terrific job. This Romcom has to be one of the best ever. The plot is diff than the boring one Hallmark puts out and the support cast is very good. I love the mother of Wes. Def shoots be in more movies. I can't wait for the next time these two actors to do another romcom. Why can't all Hallmark movies be this good. The list of other HM actors are all quite good The story lines have to be done better like this one. All in all one of the best ones for this season.
Yes, it's yet another SAVE THE INN story, Elise (Erin Cahill) has inherited her Grandma and Grandpa's old Inn at Apple Hill. Elise grew up around the inn and loves being its caretaker, but the trouble is that the inn is falling apart, it doesn't turn a profit, and she can't get a loan to make improvements.
Luke (Wes Brown), is a workaholic and CFO of a New York major hotel brand, his mother who is the CEO insists that he take a vacation. Having fond childhood memories he decides Apple Hill would be the perfect place to relax. Elise and Luke meet and have a confrontation over an arcade game. Elise isn't happy to find out that Luke is also a guest at her Inn, and tries her best to make his stay uncomfortable. When they both realize they were high school classmates their attitude towards one another changes.
Luke learns that Elise could use some help, she eagerly tries his clever suggestions to make the Inn more profitable. The whole town rallies around Elise in hopes that Luke's idea works. A dilemma occurs when there's a crisis back at Luke's office in New York and his mother goes to Apple Hill to tell him he needs to return to the office. However, Luke has grown to love the Apple Hill Inn, Elise and the town. Now Luke has a difficult decision to make as he awaits to see the outcome of his suggestions for the Inn.
There is grest chemistry between the two lead actors and although the plot is similar to other Hallmark movies, the clever and witty dialogue keeps the viewers attention. A pleasant and entertaining Romcom.

The small town Inn in this Hallmark Rom Com is lovely and filled with charm and character until they put an ugly arcade game right in the middle of the lobby! Do young people really want to stay at a place like that? And are they so vindictive that they would try to turn away a paying customer to their struggling business?
I was bothered by these and other things in the film. I understand that they had to manufacture some animosity between the two at the beginning...but it seemed really artificial and forced.
On the flip side, the romance and chemistry between the two leads seemed genuine which will appeal to romantics and the overall fall setting with a Halloween party was delightful. I can't believe that any bank in the world would give her a loan after she failed to meet her financial goals just strictly based on a happy photo of their grandkids?!?!? Said no banker on the planet.
The two leads are lovely and the setting is fall-tastic. Those are the reasons to watch it if you are a Hallmark movie fan. Be prepared to overlook annoying and unrealistic bits of the storyline. And why did she have to divorce or be a divorcee?

Erin Cahill is Elise Jacobs, newly divorced, and having inherited her grandparents' property. It is a rustic inn in a smaller community. It needs saving, it has a lot of deferred maintenance, and it is not clear that Elise will be able to afford to save it.
Wes Brown is Luke Bellwether, son of a lady who is the chief of their company. Luke tends to be an overachiever, rarely taking any personal time. His mother basically orders him to get away. So he goes away to where he grew up, Apple Hill.
It turns out Luke and Elise were in school together but he being a couple of grades ahead of her, they didn't recognize each other after 20-ish years. But it is clear that she despises him at first. Then he shows that he is not so bad, therefore it is following the familiar Hallmark story arc.
My wife and I watched it, streaming, as pleasant entertainment. There isn't really anything novel but it is done well with attractive actors.
At home, streaming.
