Chae Jong-Hyeop Dimples eopseo!

I actually loved this show for what it was, very modest, very mindful, very demure. It's not a groundbreaking show, the plot is barely there, it's mostly just vibes. We BARELY get any affectionate scenes between the love interests, and the only real fun part is the lore they build by showing us their teenage years. I also love the second lead couple and the supporting cast, everyone knew they had to make up for the little they gave the protagonists. My biggest gripe is that the Chae Jong Hyeop dimple budget was low apparently (as I'm certain he charges by the dimple minute) and we barely get to see his dazzling smile. He is soooo stoic to a point of frustration, I just wanted to shake him through the screen and snap him back to his bubbly self. I also didn't believe the main couples chemistry, but I didn't mind that as much since everything else going on with other characters was still fun. This gets an 8 for one of the best soundtracks of the year and for being 8 episodes long.

An unplanned or fortunate discovery

Lee Hong-joo (Kim So-hyun) and Kang Hu-Young (Chae Jong Hyeop) were classmates who's lives inter crossed even though Hu-Young was a maths genius and Hong-Joo was a little scatterbrained. Years later they meet up and through circumstances they end up in each others company and over time they rekindle the bond they had and slowly it develops to be deeper. It is only eight episodes and the series offers little but a gentle easy going drama. What makes it worth watching are the two leads, the flash back sequences to when they were at school and an excellent supporting cast. If you want a short fluffy romance then this hits the target.

Good Enough

Korean Drama '' Serendipity's Embrace '' is a romantic melodrama.

The drama presents the current storyline, with what has happened in the past slowly being unfolded as the story progresses. That way, the drama got nostalgic and also kept the interest high, as the main story was more or less predictable.

The romance, in addition, was sweet and was nicely paced, though, in the final episodes, things got weaker.

Still, the side couple kept things interesting when the main one got boring.

On the other hand, the performances were all enjoyable.

So, overall, six out of ten. For serendipity's embrace.

Indulge in Sweet Tropes

This show is for the sweet tooth! It is light and enjoyable, much like savoring a piece of candy, filled with familiar Korean drama tropes for romantic comedies, like high school connection, friends to lovers, tight knit friends. It is binge-worthy with only eight episodes and a dessert for the eyes and heart.

This show has a straightforward, uplifting style. It avoids the usual, multi-episode, drawn out misunderstandings. It is filled with feel-good content, minus the miscommunication melodrama. If you're looking for something short and sweet, without much angst, this is for you.

It is even better if you already adore the actors. Don't expect anything groundbreaking. This series is ideal for an easy, enjoyable watch.

Sweet and light drama, you will not regrett it

After watching countless K-dramas, this one feels refreshingly unique. While it retains familiar K-drama elements, the execution is innovative and endearing. The chemistry between the main characters is exceptional, and the supporting cast adds a delightful touch, making every scene engaging. I usually skip side plots, but here, they're compelling and integrate well with the main story. Overall, it's a charming series that could easily become your new favorite. Definitely worth a watch for its heartwarming and fun storyline, blending humor and romance seamlessly.

Bye and enjoy you all this pic.

A very light, cute and sweet drama; perfect to watch without stress!

This drama must be the antithesis to stress. It is light, cheery and sweet in a way that consoles your worn mind and heart and provides an escape from the stresses of the world - For the short duration of the drama, sit down and forget about the mounting bills and approaching deadlines at work. The incomplete homeworks and upcoming tests.

The main and supporting characters are played exceptionally to create, unique, interesting and likeable characters full of their own individual charm. Each scene is fun and engaging with the usual kdrama mix of comedy and romance.

My only critique would be the loosely ended complications especially with some of the side characters that could've been explored further in better detail - But that would've required a significantly longer total runtime and for an 8-episode miniseries, this drama really delivered a strong and enjoyable romance drama for all ages.

I am left wanting more episodes than was given in this short miniseries.

Indeed, First Love Rocks!

This drama is super good. I think because of this, perhaps, I'll be very hopeful? If I could see my first love after 10 years? It relates to what I have experienced though. Haha, anyway this drama is cute, portraying coincidences and fate, it's cool, its funny how the characters act on their respective roles.

Unrequited Love can be learned only if you'd confess. Everyone also has different hurting points to the point that leaving someone without saying goodbye is very heartbreaking. I would recommend others to watch this. It's a perfect 10 rating for me since my favorite cast is in this drama.

A very heartwarming story

A very simple and ordinary 8 episodes series with a completely simple and ordinary story, but thanks to the use of good actors and a very gentle and romantic chemistry between them, this mini-drama has become a unique show Not only do the lead couple draw the audience, but the second couple also make you curious to find out the end of their relationship.

This was the second series I watched with Chae Jong-hyeop acting, who had a completely different personality from the previous drama and was very attractive to me and satisfied me the most.

I give this beautiful mini-drama 9 out of 10 points and recommend watching it.

I repeat, don't expect a very exciting plot in this show, but the laughter will not disappear from your lips.

Missing the charm

Okay, I have to be honest-Chae Jong-hyeop is great, and I found him quite charming in Eye Love You, but that is because he's not playing a character who keeps a stone face 90% of the time. His usual charm just feels muted in Serendipity's Embrace, and it's a little frustrating because I know he can do better.

As for Kim So-hyun, she's one of my favorites, so I was really rooting for this pairing. But... I just couldn't feel the chemistry between them in this drama. Individually, they're solid actors, but together? Something just felt off. The emotional pull that should have made this romance captivating never quite landed for me.
