The story starts with one of the more common setups where Zoe expects a proposal and gets dumped. She feels like her blog needs a romantic component so it leads her to creating a fake relationship. It's not really fake, but it doesn't really start out as a romantic relationship. Meanwhile, Adam is an overworked advice columnist, posing as Adora.

Brittany Bristow is one of my favorites in Christmas movies so it makes me sad to see her Zoe be so neurotic and pathetic. She is so rigid and for a while almost belligerent. She is obsessed with getting back with Cary, who dumped her. These aren't traits I like in Bristow. Then suddenly there is a scene with fake glasses where Bristow looks fake because her joy is such a sudden change. After that things get much better. Adam proves to be a help and the changes bring out the positive aspects of Bristow's Zoe. This Zoe is much more in Bristow's wheelhouse. While the relationship is a bit unusual at first, Zoe and Adam are still thrown together in a number of Christmas activities.

I found the obstacle or conflict a little surprising. It actually develops in a couple of stages. I wasn't impressed with the ending but it was ok.

Bristow and Marcus Rosner have good chemistry. The acting good. The dialogue is OK.
