Muzzle: City of Wolves

This film started off showing great promise the storyline okay in this Stone Age plausible with a big brother overview as a criminal unusually high amount of alleged corrupt police but we can live with that but from then on the film just kept going at the same pace never really improving that would've been acceptable but sadly within minutes they decided to pull the plug and then the film without a decent ending that made any sense!

Hey, I quite like Aaron Eckhart as a general opinion. Many of his films are reasonably enjoyable. It's not high brow stuff, but you pretty much know what you're going to get, and that's fine. This one however is something else.

I found the personal flashback/interactions to be total drivel with little to no real point as far as moving the film forward. The general plot behind the film seems to be almost unrecognisable and without any real purpose. Plus, the whole film seems to be edited together in a disjointed fashion has no flow whatsoever. Some of the acting is not the worst given what they had to work with, but that's about it.

It's all a bit of a train wreck to be honest. I'd comment more about certain ridiculous plot lines, but don't want to give anything away with spoilers - although it's doubtful it would spoil your enjoyment, because frankly there isn't any there to spoil.

Let's hope his next outing offers something more in the way of satisfaction because there's precious little of it here.

This movie is not a 1, nowhere near it.

There's a scene in an ambulance that probably made half the people watching it get mad. It talked about being red pilled, I thought it was a pretty funny scene, but others probably hated it.

So, don't listen to the one star reviews here, it's definitely worth a watch if you like action movies.

Stumbling upon this 2025 action thriller movie by random chance, and with it being a movie that i hadn't already seen, nor actually heard about, and seeing that it had Aaron Eckhart on the cover, I have to admit that I needed no persuasion to give the movie a fair chance. I found the 2023 movie "Muzzle" to be adequately entertaining, and thus needed no persuasion to watch this sequel.

The storyline in the movie, as written by Carlyle Eubank, Jacob Michael King and John Stalberg Jr., proved to be fair, much akin to the 2023 first movie. But it was somewhat struggling with a slow paced narrative, which meant that it was far in between the action sequences. And the movie did suffer from that.

Of the entire cast ensemble in the movie, I was actually only familiar with Aaron Eckhart. The acting performances in the movie were good.

The action sequences in the movie were fair, though personally I could have wished for more of them, as it would have helped spruce the movie up quite a bit.

Watchable, for sure, and certainly an entertaining enough movie for what it was, and if you enjoyed the 2023 movie "Muzzle", you will also enjoy this sequel.

"Muzzle: City of Wolves" aims for gritty intensity and raw aggression, but the final result feels more like noise than substance. It wants to be hard-hitting and tense, yet too often settles for surface-level brutality without the narrative or emotional weight to support it.

The action is serviceable, occasionally even effective, but it rarely feels meaningful. Set pieces come and go without building real momentum, and the film struggles to create a lasting sense of danger or profileration. Visually, it leans heavily on a dark, stylized look that fits the tone, but also ends up feeling monotonous over time.

The biggest weakness lies in the writing. The plot is thin and predictable, offering little in terms of character development or thematic depth. Most of the characters exist solely to move the story forward, making it hard to care about their fates or decisions. What should feel gritty instead comes across as hollow.

"Muzzle: City of Wolves" isn't unwatchable, but it's ultimately forgettable. It has the ambition of a tough, urban thriller, yet lacks the substance to justify its intensity. A film that growls a lot, but rarely sinks its teeth in.
