In the east side neighborhood of Squirrel Hill on Beechwood Blvd, near Wilkens Ave.
Early in the film, Speedy Delivery brings Mr. Rogers a video "How People Make a Magazine" which shows the goings on at Esquire. In the scene of the Esquire office in the far background there are wall posters of past Esquire covers, including the one from November 1991 (when Oliver Stone's movie came out) which shows a frame from the Zapruder film. It can be seen at around 17:42 into the movie. Been driving me crazy. Now I can finally return this DVD to Netflix and get the next one in my queue.
This movie is the story of Lloyd Vogel's (based on Tom Junod) assignment to interview Mr. Rogers and the effect it had on his life. The story centers on Mr. Rogers, but Lloyd Vogel (played superbly by Matthew Rhys) is actually the main character, so Tom Hanks' well-deserved Oscar nomination is actually in a supporting role.
