the trauma

Two moments of the life of a man . The connection between them - same tragic event.

A young man answers to questions of a superior about a terrible tragedy having himself as surviver.

A venerable man is evicted from house and only certitude , in part refuge , is the memory of tragedy who defines his life , from responsability, imposibility to change the situation and survive.

The last decision- less surprising - reminds many traumas for who it is not cure.

And exactly this universal warning represents the main virtue of this wise crafted short film , reminding not only the tragedy of Titanic in april 1912 , but wars and catastrophies and the thought, illusion about a presumed if who could change everything .

So, profound useful.

Titanic II

First and foremost, the poster for this short film caught my attention. He resembled one of the crew members from the film "Titanic." I started watching movies and discovered that it is. The film is about Frederick Fleet. One of the Titanic's crew members survived. He is also the first person to notice and report the iceberg. Even as he grew older, he suffered from depression as a result of the traumatic events in his life. Even though the film was almost 7 minutes long, it was enjoyable, with excellent cinematography, sound design, and music. The director's work was also impressive. Despite its brief length, the film successfully conveys its message.

Shortly after Christmas, on 28 December 1964, Fleet's wife died, and her brother evicted him from the house. Consequently, Fleet fell into a downward spiral of depression. He returned to his brother-in-law's home and killed himself by hanging himself in the house's garden on 10 January 1965. He was 77.
