Great show to watch with the whole family. Tim Heidecker receives every week a new guest to talk about what movies to watch and what movies to avoid.
Greg Turkinton visit the curious locations of our favorite movies and also reviews classic movies from the Victorville Film Archive located in Victorville, California, one of the greatest movie archives from Victorville.
This show was also the incubator for the classic "Decker", a thriller starring Tim Heidecker.
If you're just an enthusiast or a cinema buff this show is for you.
I give it 5 bags of popcorn and two bags of soda.

I was sick with the flu, stuck in bed, and was surfing around on line and
came across this show. I'm fan of Tim and Eric as well as Neil Hamburger.
I watched the 9 minute episode with a big, stupid smile on my face, then
I noticed that this was season 3 episode 10. I was like WTF - how many of
these stupid things did these guys make?! I went to S1E1 and - stuck in
bed feeling like sick, I proceeded to watch all of them, including
the Decker series, and specials. Such a simple concept, with intentional
amateurish looking production values had me in stitches all day. Greg
and Tim are hilarious foils for each other, their chemistry was
hilarious!
Great Job!

So, firstly I'd like to say thank-you to Gregg Turkington for his hospitality at the Victorville film archive...the only film archive where you can enjoy one mans living room and half a century of celluloid.
Other than that, I think On Cinema At The Cinema is really dedicated to the true movie buff...but I think it may hold something for the more casual viewer.
It's interesting to compare notes and scores with Tim and Gregg, and I am often surprised by their candid interpretation of modern cinema.
Anyone, either a budding fanatic, a casual fan, or even the media studies graduate who took your order last night, should check out On Cinema At The Cinema.

I actually rated this show 1 star because of the fact that one creator is accused of killing 20 people, and the certified "guest" is on camera killing people, but, because its kinda fun and not sporty or whatever, but humorous and with deep thought out serious theater reviews in it, I threw in 9 more stars, and I'll give it a little presidential pardon for both guys, even though they don't necessarily need it because the host was acquitted of murder and the guest hasn't been brought up on charges yet, so he can't be pardoned technically (I'm no lawyer but it just seems like that would make sense since you're innocent to start with and have to be proven guilty). Anyways, so I give it 10 stars with a little pardon thrown in and hope to see more.

I never watch a movie unless it's approved by the experts, Gregg & Tim. This is the greatest movie review show ever created.

Tim is great as always. But this so-called film-buff Gregg Turkington doesn't know much about cinema. He is just a Hobbithead Jocker. He bases his film criticism on running time. But then again so does Oscer. Anyway, I give this show 4 stars but I am gonna throw in 2 more for all the great stuff Tim Heidecker has done over the years and 2 for Joe Estevez who is a consummate professional. And 2 for Dr. San, and TCH Jr. And Toni and Ayaka. And Mark Porch.

Sure we can thank the Eberts and Siskles for their contributions to film discourse blablablah but THIS is what Tim Burton would call "real art" (during one of his many collabs with Johnny Depp). It's almost a stream of consciousness of storytelling that slow cinema attempts to capture but that doesn't even do it justice to try boxing it into a genre or category. It's in a league of it's own and I'm truly blessed to have watched this series throughout some of the roughest years of my life when I just needed to feel good. Thank you Tim, Gregg, Mark, Joe, all the surviving members of Dekkar, I give this 5 bags of popcorn and little Oscar gold cuz I've got Oscar fever!

Hey guys, gregghead here. Truely the only source of cinema expertise and analysis today; when it doesn't get sidetracked by Tim talking about vapes and music that literally no one likes. It's been....a long ride but never disappoints with ant-man Star Gregg trurkington and Tim who had to sadly buy a vanity role in the sequel because he was jealous of how respected Gregg is by his peers and colleagues in Hollywood. 5 bags and a little key chain with a Hollywood Star for Gregg the bona fide film expert!

This is the premier source for film criticism. The expertise provided by Tim and Gregg is simply unparalleled by any of their peers. It is a solace for Hobbit heads and Bond freaks. Episode after episode the viewer is treated to an array of special segments, interesting guests and industry insights. No other film review show can compete with the level of excellence on which this show consistently operates.

I love this show to bits. It is, with no doubt, the cleverest and most funny show I've ever watched; and I will keep witching it over and over. Every episode is funny to me, but the Oscar specials are a godsend. Really hope Tim and Gregg will want to continue this amazing journey; and that AdultSwim will keep backing it.

On Cinema is the most important television series of the 21st century (and I know because I travelled to the future and TV really goes downhill fast after 2024). Anyway, I give the series 5 bags of popcorn just for Gregg Turkington's film expertise. I wouldn't say Tim is entirely useless because he was a brilliant actor in Gregg Turkington's Decker VS Dracula, starring James Dean!

I just found this and watched several episodes of season 14. Hoping I would find another, "At the Movies." No, of course not. Episode after episode of a group of boring white men with no imagination giving banal reviews and gibbering nonsense. These men must have the IQ of 70, or lower, I would rather listen a Forest Gump giving a review because they do not discuss character analysis, synchronicity, how the plot relates to different levels of story telling form different angles of society. They are think as mud.. This would be like a terrible date with a dull dude whom I would never want to see again. Get some females on there and some men with some depth to them!

Great show for True Film Buffs! Step into the world of film expertise brought to you by the charismatic now true owner of the Hienetwork and by extension this show (guest) Gregg Turkington and "host" tim heidecker. If I could say anything about this show it would be WOW! Or GEEWIZZ! There is unfortunately things about music and not movies!. I would suggest just reading a TV guide during those parts. Gregg is a mountain of knowledge on films and runtimes which we all know is the most important thing about MOVIES! Tim is a deranged maniac who poisoned 19 kids at the desert sun music festival and Gregg's "accusations" of murder are a made up lie put forth by producers afraid to get bad popcorn ratings for movies under the proper 120 min!

At first I was reluctant to review this web series because it is just that: a web series. My expertise as a film reviewer is more urgently needed elsewhere at the moment. But then I thought "Hmm... Let's see what these guys bring to the table of cinematic discourse". I was pleasanty surprised to see the series grow beyond the confines of your typical Sister and Ebert type movie review show. Eventually, an entire cast of colorful characters joins Greg and Tim in their journey. Friends become enemies. Enemies become friends. Celebrity Impressionist Mark Porksh becomes a Living Oscar™ and and almost became a dead deep sea diver. It's then that you realize that you have been watching a movie this whole time and you didn't know it. It has more twists than all of M. N. Night Shamalala's films combined. I give it 10 stars, which equates to 5 bags of popcorn, with each bag of popcorn equalling 2 stars.

I have always loved Tim Heidecker. Ever since I discovered On Cinema At The Cinema years ago, it has continued to be one of my favorite shows of all time. I have never been so entertained by a cinematic universe that is so whimsical and humorous. The characters develop deeply and perfectly throughout the series, and the show stays true to it's roots while still developing the story and staying entertaining and hilarious. I know we only do five bag ratings, but this one's getting six bags. Lots of butter.

It's sad that IMDB is still using antiquated (and confusing) stars to rate their movies when bags of popcorn has proven to be the superior rating system. It's absurd that us buffs have to use a complex formula to convert to bags in order to know what movies to see and what to skip.
At the time of this review, On Cinema has a 9.2 star rating, which converts to 4.6 bags of popcorn. This rating doesn't account for the .4 bags that are added in memory of the 19 tragic deaths at the Electric Sun Music Festival, which no one is responsible for except maybe the Chinese government. This leaves On Cinema with a rating of 5 bags of popcorn, but I'll also going to throw in 2 bags of soda.
But if you think On Cinema is just about movies, you're sorely mistaken. This a show that gets to the bottom of what's going on in the world today. It's a show about fatherhood. It's a show about tragedy, triumph, perseverance and the latest Property Brothers news. But, most of all, it's a show about our American values that are under attack.
