Overview:
Overall, I enjoyed this picture. It is extremely well acted and gripping. Even though it is a family drama, at no point does it feel slow or boring. I do wish they could have gone a bit deeper into what caused the rift between father and son, that would have added a bit more gravitas to the film.
Plot:
The plot centers around the Mehta family who has just lost the mother of the family. Before migrating with his daughter to America, Shiv Mehta (Boman Irani) has to stay for a few days with his estranged son, Amay (Avinash Tiwary) - an architect who is not comfortable sharing his ideas at work.
The story focuses on the relationship between father and son and how that spills over into other areas of their lives.
Acting:
The acting is excellent, with great performances by the two leads, Irani and Tiwary. They do manage to showcase the right emotions as the two men try to understand each other. They are ably supported by Puja Sarup as Anu Mehta and Shreya Chaudhry as Zara. Chaudhry in particular was excellent and is really excelling as an actress.
Conclusion:
A good watch if you enjoy family dramas. Would recommend this movie.
7/10.
