Just like the title "vishesham", the film is also a good vishesham to the Malayalam movie industry. With less familiar faces playing the major roles , the movie points out the marital problems that the society is facing.
The Filmmakers have done an excellent job by keeping the story line simple and convincing. Every Actors in the movie have done their best work.
What made me like the film was there were no unnecessary scenes, songs or comedy to make the film more appealing. Every scene in this movie was made with realism and natural emotions .
As an enjoyer of the malayalam movie industry , i say that this movie can be said as an example of good new Gen cinema.

Vishesham is a simple and average movie. The plot that deals with second marriage and pregnancy issues is pertinent and at times engaging. The main drawback of this movie was the male lead, his acting works for the initial bits to show vulnerability, but as soon as emotions kick in, his acting is really poor. This becomes even more apparent next to the female lead, who is really good and believable, and the male lead in those parts struggle. Besides that the other characters don't really get a chance to contribute as their arcs are poorly written and embedded into the movie. All in all, a decent subject, poorly acted and conceived in a pretty average way.
Started watching this movie with low expectations and went out well. I have enjoyed the movie whole throughout.
Vishesham movie revolves around a couple in 30s facing infertility issues and their struggles and hope. Comedy, Sentiments and Drama worked out well whole. Sooraj Tom's execution and narration to Anand Madhusoodanan's script was pretty good. The scriptwriter played the main lead and he was good in his acting but his shaking off head in every dialogue was little awkward. Chinnu who played the female lead portrayed her character very well. She was charismatic and played the emotional part very well.
Music was good and soothing. The camerawork was not so brilliant but was etched with the movie.
All the characters in the movie was good and they really played their part well. I loved most of the dialogues in the movie. Some of the scenes were hilarious. And also, i loved the part were the movie conveyed so many messages in the dialogues and also with their actions.
Baiju, Althaf Salim, Johny Antony, Vineeth Thattil and cameo by Dileesh Pothan played their roles well.
All in whole, a good light hearted comedy that worked in conveying a social message which is relevant at this stage of our livelihood.

Vishesham
A small movie reflecting on the societal taboos on marriage convention and planned parenthood.
The story revolves around Shibu Bhaktan,an NRI retunee who has settled in his hometown with Organic Farming and Transformation coach as a passion. The plot of the story is on the marriage institution,Parenthood, Relationship and the societies and families old style beliefs and take on it.
Sooraj Tom has pulled of the story convincingly by putting light onto the real emotions and trauma that the married couples has to undergo under the aforesaid situations.
He has also pointed on the mental and emotional support that couples need to have for one other and to face life together with positive affirmations and determination.
The subject put forward by Sooraj Tom & Anand Madhusoodanan who has penned the story is very relevant and to the point in this status quo.
A small feel good movie with a message.
