The Big Time is a creative story of the dynamics of dominance over a music group's decisions in those Make It or Break It moments. I never got into a big fight within a 1960s band but The Big Time put me right in the action with its one-shot approach, suave style and gritty realism. The cinematography took a liking to Birdman using oners and seamlessly following characters into more and more conflict. This antique period feels fresh with contrasting colors of moody purple lighting on warm colors of the men's suits, burning cigarettes and shouting faces. The soundtrack added strong undertones of anger and music inspired by the time period. The acting was aggressive and desperate from the dire situations. I wish we got to see more of the story unfold... I hope this made into a feature!
