Is it riddled with plot holes, frustrating suspenseful moments where you scream "why are you just standing there?!??" for minutes at a time, and truly thought out world building? Yes. But the overarching story is refreshing. It doesn't rely on the 1,001 RomCom tropes that every storyline seems to have these days. The problem is the execution of that story leaves a lot of questions.
Despite that, it's a story worth watching. Just don't think about it too much. If you're looking for a feel good romantic comedy with a range of emotions sprinkled in, this is a decent one. You follow many subplots that give you multiple people to root for. I truly didn't know where it was going most of the time and that was part of the fun of it.
In short: Give it a shot. You might enjoy it.

I absolutely loved this show! It is ridiculous, funny, and has a good drama storyline. At first it seemed a little odd but i think that is cuz i don't watch Thai dramas. It is a cross between love is blind, squid games, and various other tv shows. I think at Epi 3 it started to get into its own storyline. I absolutely loved this show and I cried watching the ending. Then i was on the edge of my seat with the drama they dropped at the end. HUGE CLIFFHANGER!! I have to know what happens next! This absolutely has! To get a second season! Wr don't know what happened to any of the characters other than Day, May, son, paper, & val.
I was searching something to watch while I do my crochet, and this one make me stop doing that just for watch!! I think I'm going to end this night, I'm on last episode and I don't now what will happen, good or not, I'm excited to see it!! It's a really good drama and I think everyone should give a chance for the plot, like if isn't your type, it's okay, but this one is really good and the story it reveals along the drama give us a bit anxiety if it's everything going to be well or not!! And it's so funny too, so it's a perfect match 💖 my favorite thai drama from now!! And I loved the actors too, the really do their work well!!!
RSL continues a hot streak of Thai shows that I thoroughly enjoyed. It doesn't try to be too much, and you know what you're getting from the very beginning - an underdog story set against corpo elitism with some dark dystopian undertones. Nothing fancy. All of it easy to see.
What never ceases to amaze me is how these Thai shows end up far more enjoyable than their Korean counterparts who have 10-20 times the budget. But look closer and it is easy to understand why. In Thai shows, people act in harmony with their personalities. Not always logically, but consistent with how they are portrayed and how their history/up-bringing makes them as adults. In Korean shows, the never-ending illogical behavior, overly dramatic and nonsensical posing, and the martyrdom has gotten incredibly old. Just look at my reviews of Doona, Record of Youth, Castaway Diva, Welcome to Sandal-ri, etc. To see examples of how NOT to formulate a love story. K Dramas are trying to hard to be artsy and chic, that they can't get out of their way. Even Gyeongsong Creature features ridiculous choices by the lead characters.
RSL has none of that. It is simple, stays on message, and delivers an emotional ride.
So, why not 10 stars? Why only 8? Because I took off 2 stars for the completely unnecessary and pointless post-credits scene. It, a) Ruins all the good "feels" the ending provided, and b) Is an obvious attempt to tease a 2nd season. Though, this fails because the way the show ends does not lend itself easily to another season. It would have to be a drastically different show for that to work. (Think Hunger Games dark.)
So, do yourself a favor, and stop watching right when the first credit starts to roll. You'll thank me later.

Squid Games + Bachelor + hint of Hunger Games = Ready, Set, Love.
Ths show is set in a bleak and oppressive world, where society is under the control of a totalitarian government. But are you looking for love?! Then you're going to have to fight for it!
I never knew I'd love a Thai drama. I've been watching Korean dramas for a while. Netflix recommended it so many times on Netflix. I gave it a shot and I couldn't stop watching it. It's a little silly and sometimes you want to skip to the end. Don't! It's worth it when everything goes together.
They seriously make it sound like we'll get a season 2. I really hope so!! Please, let us have another season Netflix!!
