I gave this program a shot during the winter storm in the Pacific Northwest.
Not sure who likes this kind of comedy. I'm not some redneck trucker from the south and that's basically who he's playing to. The shrieks from the ladies must be because they are drunk at the show or it's fake laughing. Maybe it was a laugh track.
How many times does he have to say we're having a good time here? I wasn't. Turned this off after half a hour of nothing.
Lets see, he told jokes about smoking, chewing tobacco, tucking his shirt in, working at restaurants or as a salesman. Yeah, funny?
Thanks for wasting my time Netflix. Skip this one. 1/10.

At first, I didn't know what I was getting myself into, but it was such a pleasant surprise. Dusty is not offensive at all and comedy routine was just amazing for me. I'm not from the south But I don't think I need to be in order to enjoy his comedy. Some of the stuff that he has mentioned can be relatable for any individual. The comedy is very clean, however, this does not mean that I don't like Raunchy comedy, but there's always a time and place for everything. Sometimes you just wanna take a break from r rated humor And relax with anybody and not Worry about any material that might not be suitable for everyone. I'm looking forward to seeing more stand up specials from this talented comedian.
This whole special was filed with solid humor, but somehow it just didn't win me over. His dry style is typically exactly what I enjoy, but the entire thing just kind of felt...flat. One thing that seemed promising at first was that the crowd seemed to really love every word he said, but as the special drove on I wondered what I was missing since the crowd seemed to really laugh heavily at every single joke.
Ultimately, I wanted to enjoy this more, but it ended up just being mostly humorous.
I'll look for more from him in the future and hope other specials engage me more, but I don't think I'd revisit this one.

His special was really funny - girlfriend and I were cracking up throughout. Dusty's style is unique and in the most endearing, refreshing way. The writing is really well done and relatable. Really fun delivery to accentuate the material that draws you right in.
Also, the person that wrote the review that you had to be from the South or something to enjoy his material is just a hater and clearly not having a good time. Gf and I both grew up quite differently from Dusty but still relate and love his work - including this special.
Fire up the special, sit back and enjoy the next hour. Pick up a few Dustyisms and understand why we're having a good time.

Standup comedian dusty slays plays at the bijou theatre in knoxville tennessee. He talks about funny experiences at past jobs. And being mistaken for an employee in other stores. Why he doesn't tuck his shirt in. And how to smoke a ciggie without using your hands! Tobacco chew versus smoking. And what the store clerks say when you're buying your evil habits. What it's like to lose your appendix. He's also done a real ted talk on stage. (it's on youtube... you can watch it!) having a good time. The ups and downs of setting up his own web site. The good things and the bad things in a travis tritt song. And why the words in those travis tritt songs are confusing. He has good timing! And a good connection with the audience. Lots of hand motions, and he talks about it. Buying weed. But just the low key stuff. Not looking for anything too intense. Really good stuff. Extra credit for staying away from religion and politics!
