Female Lead

The female lead seems to be a great actress if her role was to act dumb, stupid with no common sense on her actions. However for this k-drama that type of role does not suit. Disappointing in so many levels. The script should of been reviewed and adjust it. Too many times she put her self and others in danger making her look selfish and careless. Very immature for her age on the show. She was supposed to be educated with a good job, her actions should of matched it. The ending was not great. To me looks like the show was rushed and not thought off. Could of had an amazing ending. Some parts of the story were confusing.

Very underrated drama why is the rating low !!!!!!Best kdrama ever

This is the first kdrama that had me rewatching the already posted episodes while waiting for the next episode I have never once rewatched something I already watched but I don't know what's it about this drama it got me completely hooked maybe the FL and ML and their chemistry that got me rewatching every episode or maybe the plot twist in this drama or maybe the funny parts every thing in this drama literally so addicting I really really really hope they make a season too with more romance scenes between nana and doyeon but omg this drama is probably my favorite of all time and the fact that searching every where for the cast interviews says how much I'm invested in this drama and it's so underrated I hope people will watch it.

Great storyline but annoying female lead

The storyline was well-written but it got extremely boring at time. Additionally, the female main lead was extremely annoying and was always drunk. I don't find being drunk all the time as funny. I thought it was dragged out and could have been condensed to 12 episodes. The murder mystery was great plot and was interesting, but without that part of the storyline, it would have been the worst show that I watched. The female lead was too desperate and jealous. How she acted was extremely immature. I enjoyed the main male lead acting and thought it was interesting. Overall, it could have been better if some parts was cut from the shows. It was like the episodes were all the same. The female lead getting drunk and being extremely obsessive for nothing.

Will Cupid Win?

I just fell upon this K-drama and am pleasingly surprised. The unlikely hero, Yang Doon-yoon, is charming as Cupid, as are his cohorts, one of whom keeps turning from human to dog. I always enjoy Gong Min-jun's performances, and it is refreshing how Nana, the Vet, can laugh at her own beauty - I want to see both actresses in more shows. Comic scenes between the battle of the sexes versus tension about capturing a serial killer may seem disconcerting, but they work. The police, led by detective Park Ki-woong, join forces to solve crimes. There are tearful along with romantic and humorous moments that intertwine in the web of reincarnation and the modern world. Who will win in the struggle for love or solving a murder? And of course, cute puppies always bring smiles.

Hmmm... not sure I like this...

Ehhh. Honestly I'm on episode 9 so don't have full story, but rooting for detective as ultimate love interest... there is not real appeal in attraction with the fairy and main actress. Imo. Hope it turns out well. Weak love storyline- good acting. I'm sure others might feel differently from me as to who should be main love interest. . I will update as I finish series.

Apparently I'm required to add 600 words to this review posts, from IMBD. I find this to be highly annoying as I have nothing to add to my review, at this time, but I will say I think this policy from IMBD stinks and can ramble on with foolish nonsense if that is what is required...

Worth a watch with some caveats

TLDR: This is a decent romantic / suspense thriller series and my recommendation is to definitely give it a try. If you are interested in the romance, you'll need to be patient though. The romantic thread starts slow and the good romance doesn't really pick up until the back end of the series. On the other hand, the suspense/thriller plot-line is great (although does fall apart a little in the end).

The acting is great and although it can be difficult to tell because of how the romantic thread progresses, the chemistry between the FL & ML is really good. When they finally kiss, they have some of the best kissing sequences I've seen. Often, the kisses are not much more than two people holding their lips together. Im Jin-ah (Nana) and Jang Dong-yoon really sell the romance of their kisses. I wish that the romantic thread had been a bit stronger early on because we miss the opportunity to see Im Jin-ah light up the screen with her smile. Early on, we mainly only see that when she is working with the animals at the pet clinic.

The two secondary romantic leads are great as well. I'd seen Gong Min-jung previously in 'Marry My Husband' and it was really good to see her in an expanded role in this series. And the secondary romantic thread was very sweet.

As for the suspense/thriller plot-line. It is very good up until the end when the killer doesn't take a perfect opportunity to kill the last witness even after going thru some extreme & cruel means to set up the opportunity. And then, inexplicably breaks pattern and uses a bomb in a way that doesn't make much sense...he has no motivation to kill the person the bomb would most likely have killed yet, gets very lucky and has it actually affect the last witness...who he had no expectations would have been in that position. Also, a simple statement from the last witness to the police or Sang-hyeok when she was almost certain she knew the killer's identify would have saved the police a lot of trouble...and there was no reason she would not have told at least Sang-hyeok. All of this was a rather sloppy way for the writers to further the romantic plot-line which was unfortunate as it lessened an otherwise very good suspense/thriller story.

But on the plus side, they did an excellent job with the hints as to who the real killer is. The rollout of the backstory and motivation for the killer was well paced and subtle. Very well done.

The romantic plot-line is almost the exact opposite. It starts slow and doesn't really get good until the second half of the series. The main issue I have is with how poorly the underlying backstory and character motivation is revealed.

Flashbacks repeated the same content too often. Generally, when really good Kdrama's use this technique, each flashback furthers the backstory a bit more. Too often, this one didn't. The flashbacks were just repeats of what had already been shown so the flashbacks turned into filler rather than furthering the story-line.

Also, because of how poorly the backstory is paced, the writers do not provided good motivation for the FL to continue her pursuit of the ML after repeatedly being rejected...especially when some of the rejections were rather harsh and when there was another suitable suitor available that matched her prophecy. The backstory that provides her motivation is not revealed until one of the second half episodes so it left all of the earlier episodes feeling a bit strange.

In some of the early episodes, in the modern time-frame, they had several scenes with what were obviously supernatural beings, that did not really provide any hints for furthering the story. They just left the question "why was that scene put here?". Again, they finally reveal who those characters are in a late episode but the writers wasted a lot of potential.

Despite those issues, once the flashbacks and supernatural being conversations filled in the backstory, everything made sense and the romance hits high gear (better late than never I guess). I loved the ending and am very glad they gave the time to provide a glimpse into their future. Although there is the slight time issue that is ignored....1000 becomes a large number of years when progressed only a couple times a week.

Overall, well worth the watch. I just wish the screenplay had had better editing with respect to the backstory pacing and rollout. It would have turned a decent but unremarkable series into a great one.

Waste of time and brain

Just finished the series and it is so boring, I love k drama but this one was so boring, a reincarnation story which had no connection and the writer used all his power to connect it but failed miserably, many questions were unanswered or the writer forgot the plots, there are so many unnecessary flashbacks again and again same flashbacks, the side heroine had acted far better the main lead, she was more expressive, the hero is cute and did act well, there was little thriller feel but all vanishes in few episodes, I kept on waiting for at least a good built up but nothing was there, the connection between lovers are not upto the mark if you keep in mind the normal k drama phenomenon. You can slip this one.

AMAZING PLOT

One of the best K-Dramas that I have ever seen. There are so many plot twists so it is fascinating to watch as the show keeps you guessing and then takes another turn just when you thought you had figured the plot line. The actors and actresses were brilliant in their acting and chemistry towards each other. The ending is well thought out but not without hardships along the way. One that I will watch again and again! I hope to see more of these actors/actresses in the future! I recommend everyone watch this! My favourite scene is towards the end of the series with Strawberry & Apple. Thank you!

This is a great drama. The two leads had great chemistry and the murder mystery storyline was very interesting as well. I loved how everything tied together with the murder mystery and characters. I wasn't really a fan of the storyline between the friend and brother angel. I also didn't really like the flashback scenes. You get a better understanding with the flashbacks, but I feel as if there were too many scenes. The flashback scenes would also come in and out of nowhere and some of them would replay, which I wasn't that fond of. I would've also appreciated more scenes with the two leads and more character depth for the female lead. Overall, it's a great drama. The ending could've been longer with the two leads, but I appreciate how the writers didn't go the cliche route.

Not Good Enough

Korean Drama '' My Man is Cupid '' is a fantasy romantic comedy.

The concept of the story, though unique, was quite idiotic overall. It wasn't well executed, though the group of fairies offered many funny moments and their chemistry was spot on. A chemistry that, unfortunately, the main couple didn't have. Therefore, their romantic moments were awkward, which was aided by the absorbed behavior of the main female lead who often acted out so strangely towards the main male lead that more often than not baffled him and the audience as well.

Other than that, the mystery case was pretty intense and interesting.

The performances were okay as well.

So, overall, three out of ten.

BEST K-DRAMA EVER!! SO UNDERRATED!!

This was my favorite kdrama IN THE WORLD and is so underrated!! The leads chemistry was straight fire 🔥🔥🔥. I watched it twice in the same month, once by myself and another with my sister. I am preparing the watch it again, and again, and again.

There were so many different things that you could look forward to like crime, thrills, action, love, and comedy.

I heard about the male leads acting and fell in love with him after watching him. My phone is now FILLED with photos of him!! The female leads beauty is INDESCRIBABLE! All of the actors are sooo good and were DEDICATED! The kid that acts in it got actor of the year and did not disappoint!

There was not just laughter and joy but there were also tears shed and hearts CRUSHED. For only being 16 episodes it felt very in depth and complete. They answered every question.

It's sooo good and I recommend to anybody in need of a good show!!

Just watch it. Trust me!!

✒Nice Shot 🏹 Fate Ain't Yoda °5° °terminally average° 💯%🔍

Shot through the heart ♥ and you're to blame ♥ You Give Love a Bad name.

>>>➖💔➖▶So does this show... almost

Cupid, draw back your bow ♥ And let your arrow go ♥ Straight to my lover's heart for me, for me ♥ >>>➖💔➖▶He missed!

Somewhere in a smelly, messy apartment in Seoul there's a band of misfit cupids. They lost their wings 500 years ago in a Joseon Era world-class screw-up. "Do you ever think that woman was reborn? The one who caused all our trouble?" "I'm sure she's probably been reborn several times over by now." Their arrow missed, the intended couple ended up ill-fated, and the Cupids were demoted. They're working their way back; their progress is marked by a golden arrow on the mantle. Once they turn it completely gold again their status will be restored. The Cupid who actually shot the arrow is now in dog form most of the time. He snaps in and out of it as their redemption draws near. Unfortunately, it happens at the worst times, like on a date or while in the veterinary office.

MMiC is a 2023 release that is rated 89 on AWiki. It is 1 season consisting of 16 60-minute episodes. It hypothesizes that fate doesn't know everything. It's not perfect. Neither is this show. I liked the characters and many of its elements, but it not only doesn't have sufficient content for even 10 episodes, it Isn't tight enough. It's not exciting enough. It's not funny enough. It's not romantic enough.

Obviously, from the premise, it's clear that this isn't a serious show. The backdrop Is a murder investigation with hooks that are latched into both of our leads as well as the detective investigating the crimes, Seo Jae Hee (Park Ki Woong of The Bridal Mask, Rookie Historian-7.6, and the unfortunate Pandora: Beneath the Paradise-3.9) plays the detective. He was a king in a former life, and he was fated to be with our FL then, but the arrow missed and e'erthing went bollix. His story is actually tragic. 💘🔺 alert! They can't seem to help themselves.

Jang Dong Yoon (Daily Dose of Sunshine-7, Please Be My Ear) is our Cupid, Chun Sang "Hyuk". Most girls wouldn't want a fairy boyfriend, but dang, he smells nice. Our FL comments on his pleasant redolence often. He's alittle tired, about now; it's been a long 500 years. He actually opines in ep1 that 💘 is a curse.

When a coworker offers a ticket to the Cupid Exhibit, saying 'maybe you'll get shot with Cupid's bow', our FL replies: "They better not show up in front of me. They have a lot of explaining to do." Broken finger, struck by lightning, massive blood loss, choking - all were the FATES of her various boyfriends. Every attempt at love has been cursed - since she was 9. Nana (Confession, Kill It) is our FL, Oh 'Baek' Ryun. She's not gluten intolerant - she likes her Tteokbokki made with wheat flour. She's beautiful, but deadly, by no fault of her own. She became a veterinarian to counterbalance the unintended harm she's done. 'You committed a grave sin in your past life. You've been living lonely lives for 500 years. Go to the top of Inwangsan cliff and beg for forgiveness for 1,000 days. On the 1000th day, your true love will appear. A man who knows the past will come to you.' So the fortune teller tells her. That was 3 years ago. It's no small task, but she was convinced to do it. In the meantime, she keeps running into this weird dude. He's handsome, but his aura screams there's much more going on with him. When she realizes how sturdy he is - he came out of an extreme experience that should have almost killed him, yet he had nary a scratch - she's undone. She attacks. A whole life of bottled up frustration springs from her lips onto his... his cheek. I thought she was going to go for the gold, but she opted for silver.

It seems like Gong Min Jung is in everything I see, lately. In MMiC she's An Do Ra who is, once again, the BFF of the FL - a common role for her. I've seen her in Marry My Husband-7,5, Daily Dose of Sunshine-7, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha-8.2, My Holo Love-6.8, and not too long ago, the marvelous Familiar Wife-8.5. She and her secondary romance are the best thing in MMiC, but it's not enough to make it fly.

Moon Ji Hoo (Single & Ready to Mingle) as cupid Chun Dong Chil is transformed into a sweet golden retriever. He assumes human form only sporadically. The Ladies LUV him, much to the dismay of cupid Chun Dong Koo (Park Myung Hoon from Ssanahui Sunjeong, Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area, & Crash Landing on You-9.1) who is the more muttley (and muddled headed) of the two. Muddled headed people need love too. They make this poor guy wear polka dot sweaters😱! Most wouldn't make a dog wear that! The sweaters must be a tie-in to the 'polka dot murder' case in the show. Eom Se Ung (Govengers, Triple Fling, Best Mistake) is cupid Chun Dong Pal, but they, pretty much, waste his part. Kim Pub-Lae (Children of Nobody, Bad Man) has a voice for the ages as the fate god, Samshin. The directors are Myung Hyun Woo (Miracle) & Nam Tae Jin (Lovers of the Red Sky), and the screenwriter is Heo Sung Hee (One More Happy Ending).

"My dear friend, you are in love. You are suffering from a new pain. It's getting darker in your head. But it's getting brighter in your heart." Baek leaves no space for misconceptions. She likes Hyuk. He isn't thinking in those terms, however. Actually, he's actively resistant to it. He's interested in her as a person, though he doesn't let himself delve into the reasons why. He spends time with her. He goes to the veterinary clinic. Her hopes are up. So, one day he tells her: "I'm the man you're looking for. Trust me." Her hopes soar until she realizes what he's about from his next sentence: "I'm going to find the Perfect✨Mate for you." (He's cupid, after all ~> that's what he do). He can't understand why that got her so angry. She tells him what she wants in a mate, (it's not what she wants, it's an impossible list devised to make him give up). He tries to send her prospective mates based on her stated parameters: She rejects them all. He's very confused. That's only fair; she's confused too. Viewers each have h/h own tailor-made buttons. MMiC pushed none of mine, romantically. It never takes flight.

There's truly lovely filmcraft and special effects. This is not a low budget feature. They have a meal together, though it's not officially a date. Afterwards, when she tries to keep the relationship going (he shuts her down), she storms off. Later that night they're both in bed having a tantrum. He is sleeping in charcoal gray sheets with light colored pajamas and she's in a charcoal gray dress against light colored sheets. The optics are quite nice in that scene, which is a ying & yang representation. At this point, she hasn't even completed her 1,000 prayers. She still has a few days to go. The music is REALLY good. Gorgeous piano music is the usual background. Shazam didn't work. I made at least 3 attempts for 3 different songs, but got no results. The Playlist will probably show up on Spotify eventually.

If you can do 1000 trips, you can do 2000. The main theme is power of the will, for good or for not-good. "From now on, I'm going to fight against my destiny," claims Baek. I like that. Don't accept things just because you've been told "it can't be done." Unfortunately, the message gets muddled. There's some golden arrows pointed at the audience, though. An Do Ra, Baek's roommate, does a dating podcast and also teaches classes. She makes a lot of mischievous jokes, but when she's giving serious advice almost every word is golden. "An emotionally guarded man isn't attractive." "Clothes are the most basic means of respecting yourself. When you wear something that suits you, you feel good to start with." She's not going to teach dating skills, she explains. She's going to teach personal appeal. Finding our personal appeal is about making us the best version of us and not focusing on tricks or others. Working on ourselves is always the answer. Every word is a keeper.

And now for the quiver of misses. On a snowy night, An Do Ra invites Hyuk up for a drink with the two of them. The whole sequence is a constant stream of Do Ra doxing and teasing them. It should've been cute, but it's too silly and it didn't sit well. In flashbacks to old Joseon and prior lives, the two MLs are fighting over a girl. They use a different actress (Kwon Ah-Reum of Missing: The Other Side S2 & Body Parts). She's fine in the role, it's just unclear why they use a different woman when the men are the same actors. When cupids are fading out for a metamorphosis they can't pick up physical objects or turn doorknobs, but one of them beats up some guy in a bar. That's inconsistent. In ep15 we get an information dump with new parameters and rules they never hinted at earlier. That isn't good writing. It lacks complexity and makes it look like they are making things up as they go. As the episodes rolled on, this show kept my interest less and less. I really enjoyed the secondary romance and the dating school sequences, but everything else floundered. I cannot point to many specific negatives, there's just a dearth of positives. It's more like a broad outline that moves from point to point without engaging the heart, quite ironically. This goes beyond not having sufficient content for 16 episodes because it never even spreads its wings. MMiC is terminally average. The best I can say is that it will fill the time, but I'd rather watch any of my favorites again, rather than MMiC or the first time.

Just trust me and watch it

BEST KDRAMA EVER!!!!!!

Perfect mix of crime, suspense, mystery, romance and comedy. The last episode had me bawling. Started it on a red eye flight and got no sleep after starting this.

Sang-hyuk and baek-ryun had excellent chemistry. The acting was beautiful. This plot was complex but still easy to follow. Work of art like the ones they made.

Baek-ryun was just a good character played by a wonderful actress. She had so much dedication to find her love and worked so hard to keep him. Loved the romance, there was no silly misunderstanding or playing hard to get. Jang Dong Yoon played the part of Sang-Hyuk to perfection. This show had me smiling, crying and sitting on the edge of my seat like no other show can do. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a little bit of everything.

love and laughs in every shot

It was just so much fun to watch. The leads? Stunning. Seriously, both of them are absolute eye candy. The chemistry between them? Chef's kiss. Every moment they shared on screen was pure magic.

The comedy was top-tier. I was laughing out loud the whole time. It had that perfect balance of humor and heart, which made it so enjoyable to watch. Every episode was like a rollercoaster of fun, and i loved every minute of it. They didn't try too hard to be funny; it was just natural, making it feel super easy to binge.

If you're looking for a light-hearted, feel-good drama with some hilarious moments and great chemistry between the leads, this is it. It might not be super deep or dramatic, but it's exactly what you need for a fun watch. I had a blast!

BEST SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!!

I fell in love with this show the second I turned it on. The male lead is absolutely gorgeous and his acting is just phenomenal. And female lead, don't even get me started. She absolutely gorgeous and her acting just drew me into the show. She really knew what she was doing and she put a lot of thought into this role. The storyline and plot were so amazing. It was so intense yet comforting to watch.

I have watched it multiple times and will continue to watch it in the future. It is a show that really makes you feel happy. You can always count on it to make you smile.

10/10 would watch again and would recommend to anyone.

One of the worst k drama ever

This female lead is possibly the most annoying character I've ever seen in a k drama. Her voice is high pitched and annoying and she acts like a complete idiot the entire series. There is no substantial story line and the plot is completely lost. I actually only continued the show because of the animals but then they were fazed out and the show just lost all interest. The male lead is a total pansy and the past life story lines overlap without actually making any sense. All in all the writing and actors are all terrible and this is the worst k drama I've ever wasted my time on. Don't waste yours.
