beautiful

I was simply moved. It is just beautifully filmed, intelligent, funny and surprising story about ballet. I liked Krzysztof Pastor as a main character, I like different angles the director chooses to look from at the ballet universe.

It is rare nowadays to see the documentary that does not try to shock you or scare you or just bother you with some heartbreaking story. "Pastor. Four movements." is a pure pleasure to watch. And not only for ballet lovers, but also for people, who do not know much about dance or theatre.

It is also a treat for Chopin fans as the film is illustrated with Piano concerto f-minor. I have seen the film twice, both on tv and at the cinema and I think it definitely belongs to the big screen.

A story of the Human

Not being keen on ballet or classical music I watched the film with great pleasure as a history of a person. I particularly enjoyed archival movies from Krzysztof Pastor's performances when he was a dancer in the past combined with his job at present. The movie does not paint a picture of great artist unreachable by ordinary public but on the contrary presents a real human with his worries, frustrations, fears, etc. The film is enjoyable watchable for wider audience not connected with ballet, opera or classical music which is a great benefit of the movie and great job done by the director and producer.

A moving documentary, showing the world of ballet from the inside and the outstanding choreographer Pastor at work, beautiful photos and paintings, the film stays in your memory for a long time and makes you realize what creativity is and how experiencing beauty elevates each of us, the film is not only for ballet lovers, it allows you to feel By getting closer to this closed world, the viewer becomes a participant in the rehearsals for the performance, and can get very close to the creative process, which is usually inaccessible. What is surprising is the main character's great sense of humor, which makes this document both a funny and moving picture.
