Second Chance Stage

Great series! Episode #3, 3rd act was wild. The magician / mentalist was amazing. You need to see it to believe it. How could he possible know the number Tae Diggs was thinking?? What I liked about this series is that you really get to know each and every contestant. All the acts were talented and will most likely go places but the magician stood out to me more than any of the other contestants. This magician named Phil needs his own show in Vegas, he carried himself so professionally and his response to one of the judges had my whole entire family laughing. All in all, good show, great acts and family friendly.

I came upon this show as I am a big fan of talent shows. American Idol was a staple in my life. This show however was not on par with others I have watched. When life had other plans for these performers, I'd say it was a blessing. There was one act that stood out not in a good way. A magic act that was so obnoxious I nearly turned it off. He made me so uncomfortable with the long pauses, loud dad jokes, and was totally unentertaining. You could tell the judges were equally as appalled. The producer must have been laughing off stage. BTW I couldn't tell you who the judges were, some girl from SNL, an actor from one movie in the 90s, and a washed up country musician. Save your eyesight.

One thing I don't like about most variety talent shows is there's too much air time about too many acts. Those shows show the terrible performers, the decent performers, and the great performers. Then they spend an entire season weeding out act by act to finally get to a finale and that finale is often multiple episodes long.

This show gives the viewer what they were promised- TALENT! There's 5 acts per episode that are all phenomenal. No time wasted watching the judges buzz acts off stage. Each act has a story of why they had to give up on their passion and this show gives them the opportunity to make a comeback.

Also, all 3 judges are fantastic.
