I initially struggled to get into this film, because I wasn't ready to sit through one and a half hours of hallmark-grade sap. After the gang hit the road, though, I found myself laughing too hard to care.
Miracle Mile isn't a perfect film, and it isn't a masterpiece. It is a solidly-written, moderately-performed, excellently-scored drama, loaded with moments of absolute comedy gold. Norman's incident with the ice-cream crazed children, Norman's incident with the loudspeaker and highway patrol, and Norman's incident with the fellow road-rager in the motel parking lot all stand out as moments I was laughing until I nearly cried.
The film has starkly Christian tones throughout, but I have to say the main moral that I took away was this: You should never road trip with Norman!

This is a wonderful story about life and love --and those people who God puts in our path to help light our way. Essentially it is the story of a love-struck young man, his gruff and comedic grandfather, and a war veteran who finds the grace to look beyond his own injury to help others. It made me laugh throughout, while delivering moments of poignancy and insight into suffering. We watch all three characters develop and grow. The plot and timing are excellent, and you will find yourself cheering for them to make it to the church on time. Beautiful cinemetography of northern California and a rousing, uplifting soundtrack are the icing on the cake. Wonderful faith based family film!

I absolutely adored the cinematography of this movie. Since I live in Redding myself I can recognize all of the places used, and wow the diversity of shots was amazing. Every sweeping view, every detail between the roads and the signs. I applaud those who worked with the cameras. Thank you as well everyone who wrote, directed, and acted in this movie for a fun and exciting experience. The tension was always felt throughout the movie, the comedy was completely gutbusting, and the emotional moments paid off. I applaud as well the Christian values held in this movie, showing how God works in mysterious ways. I hope to see more from Mighty Men of Valor.
