This young actress killed it. She carried the entire show on her back along with her way-in-over-his-head kidnapper. Their pseudo father-daughter relationship on screen is awkward, funny, and endearing, despite the unfortunate circumstances that brought them to their current situation. Since the new-family dynamic was the focus of the earlier episodes, I found the beginning more enjoyable than the latter half, as the big mystery of the show naturally started taking over.
The show's central mystery of who did what to whom, which landed our fugitive duo in their predicament, is intriguing but ultimately unoriginal. The gradual revelation of a single crime scene and the events that transpired can become somewhat repetitive; however, it still managed to hold my attention. Fortunately, this series consists of only 12 episodes.
The bad guy is comically... a rich villain stereotype, something you've seen countless times before. In contrast, the other villain who works under him and handles all the dirty work is surprisingly decent. I found myself liking him because, deep down, he is actually a softie.

Korean Drama '' The Kidnapping Day '' is an intense thriller with a sensitive side.
The drama starts off quite strongly, with the pair of kidnapper-child being enjoyable to follow, as they start bonding and forming a somewhat family. Their relationship was also what kept things going when the drama started flaking as well.
Actually, towards the ending, the drama's twists were a bit over the top and, again, the strong duo were there to save the day, even if the rest of the characters were frustrating to follow.
The performances, finally, were all great by everyone in the cast.
So, overall, six out of ten.

Is the series that I chose and watched, with the theme about a kind man who was forced to become a kidnapper who gave his whole life for the sake of a child he kidnapped. Instead of hurting her, the kidnapper really felt sorry for and cared about a girl named Ro Hee, a smart girl who was described as one of the youngest genius girls in Korea
Each episode displays interesting scenes, reasonable conflicts, light stories and real life. For those of you who like classic stories, please just watch it because this is my version of the best interesting series.
Not boring but really enjoyed the content of this series of intelligent girls who kidnap innocent, kind hearts.

At first, I did not bother to check this series probably because of its title. I thought it was just a straightforward kidnapping plot.
Being an avid fan of crime (mystery), suspense & thriller genres (both in US and Korea), I went ahead and gave it a shot. It was the synopsis that somewhat got me, I find it interesting.
I love the build up of the story and how the characters were introduced in every scene. It may sound odd but you'll be rooting for the kidnapper (didn't expect this one). Else, what I love about this is the mystery part, looking for answers about who the real culprit is.
I just want to add, hands down to both lead actors, Kim Myeong-joon (Yoon Kye-sang) and Choi Ro-Hee (Yoo Na), super talented and natural.
Give this series a try and you'll find yourself juggling with emotions, like literally! Watch this together with your family and friends, no doubt they will surely enjoy it.

The Kidnapping Day is adapted from the popular Korean novel with the same title, using the black-comedy thriller genre. An amateur kidnapper who is willing to commit crimes to pay for his child's hospital bills, this drama will probably tell the story of a father's struggle for his child. A seemingly simple mistake sets off a chain of unexpected and tragic events, leaving these two characters in a complex moral and emotional dilemma. It's quite light to watch, even though it has the thriller, crime and comedy genres, but it doesn't seem to drain a lot of thought, although that doesn't mean it's not good, it's still recommended to watch because there are lots of implied moral messages that can be taken away.
