Sentimentaaal promises an action-packed, crime-driven story, but unfortunately, it fails to deliver on almost every front. Directed by Baba Yadav, this Bengali thriller quickly proves that style does not always equate to substance.
The film, centered around Suryaa Roy (Yash Daasguptaa), a police officer transferred to the troubled town of Raghunathpur, follows his battle against the corrupt politician Rudrani Chowdhury (Sayantani Ghosh). The clichés are overwhelming, and it seems as though the film is relying heavily on overused tropes to build excitement.
