Ruth and Tango

Two ladies in a nice cabin near forest. An aniversary day- the enthusiasm of one of women, the attention more for solve a puzzle in almost cynical way. So, for the first, the real only companion is her hamster, Tango, giving some sense to life.

But, unfortunatelly, Tango dies and for poor owner all seems compromised, the rest of small pet being the kick to discover the emptiness of her life in presumed lesbian relation.

Beautiful acting, fair realism, inspired humor reducing part of bitterness of situations .

And pretty nice final , defining the post mortem help of poor Tango for its friend. Admirable work of Marilyn Busch and great performance of Joan Shangold.

A look at a long-term relationship

With the plethora of coming out stories, it is refreshing to see a film about a same sex couple that has been together for 25 years.

It is not easy, but this short movie uses humor to show the challenges. The setting in an absolutely beautiful cabin keeps it interesting. The acting is good and again, the use of humor keeps the serious message from getting you down.

The summary of this film on IMDb gives away far too much of the brief plot. Whoever posted that should cut it way down.

This is a nice, well-done short, worth watching if you can find it. Watch the credits to the end! I hope to see more from this director.
