A well portrayed Movie with a Great Concept to be understood raised and Followed to bring that level of equality to uplift the human spirits as human's. Mr Shri Vishnu Sir acting is stupendous and is rocking. The best way of story telling is visualised and depicted here. The Director did a wonderful Job in cinematography and narration. First half is been funny yet composed and later half shined the story to another level . That's the craft and visual art of narrating a story with humour which also showcase a great message emotions and societal morals which are to be raised to bring that change .

Overall the film felt like a live play where actors want to give their best and even story is good, but the whole thing still seems off.

This film is a good example in which a good amount of effort went into writing the story but other areas of bringing it to the celluloid were done unenthusiastically including dialogues, direction and screenplay.

While watching, it was evident that the actors were trying to give it their best shot, but still the final result felt artificial. It could have been due to the direction or screenplay. Editing felt very abrupt at many places. Music was below average. Production design for the historical part involving castles was good.

Look man , I go to movies for pure entertainment. The film if its has strong story and is providing relaxation is comparatively good than the one which is more technical or rich in cinematic values for me . This film has been fairly good in terms of the comedy it provides and the story line. It failed to remain consistent but it is okay because the director has clearly planned something new for the audience with this film. The actors were good , but the female leads seemed to have no screen presence at all except for Meera Jasmine mam. Few stories like the ones between Meera - Vishnu and Ritu-Vishnu seem to be written brilliantly and executed well on the screen too, while the ones like Vishnu-Daksha seem to provide enough laughs . The issue arrives in the later half of the movie where the film becomes a lecture giving us classes on Gay rights and honestly man , I just wanted to watch a film . Overall , the honest comedy and few engaging stories are what make this film a good one and the lecturing lets this film down.

Writer, director Hasith Goli and actor Sree Vishnu teamed up for their second outing after Raja Raja Chora which was received well. In Swag, Hasith Goli deals with a much serious subject that is not only relevant in this day and age but also thought provoking.

Swag opens in the year 1551 where a king from "Swaganika" dynasty plays a second fiddle to his wife, Rukmini Devi, who is a matriarch. Rukmini's goal is to develop a matriarchal society while the king aims for a partriarchal one. This tussle continues for generations and in the present day a policer inspector named Bhavabhuti asserts male dominance in all walks of life. He later stumbled upon family inheritance and the rest of the movie is about how he tries to acquire the wealth and what role does matriarchy and patriarchy play into his quest.

This is a kind of subject that can go in any direction and can even made borderline vulgar. However, Hasith Goli demonstrates exceptional command over his story and characters. He clearly know what he set out to accomplish with this movie and that is refreshing to see from a relatively new comer. Although I wished the writing was a little bit better in the first act where the conflict is setup. The screenplay appears rushed and the editing by Viplav Nyshadam, while delivers the quirky feel that the maker was going for, cuts scenes too soon. The result is the information overload in the first act that stays with you till the end. I did wish they relaxed the first act just a tiny bit for the audience to take it all in.

Sree Vishnu plays five different characters ranging from a 16th century king to a modern day teenager obsessed with Instagram. This is his best performance yet. He is full of surprises in this movie and carries the movie with a natural ease. Female leads Ritu Varma and Meera Jasmine excelled in their respective roles and showed the variation that is needed as they play multiple roles as well.

Music by Vivek Sagar is an asset to the movie and it helped draw me in to all the drama. The production design was enough for you to lose yourself in the world of Swag.

Overall, Swag is an enjoyable movie watching experience and offers something novel and treats its audience with great respect.

Must watch film . Strong comeback and by Sree vishnu . Excellent direction from Goli . Cinematography was superb. Please watch with your family . A good motivational film . Missing this movie in theater 😥What a story telling. No unnecessary songs , no unnecessary action sequence . Just pure acting performances by the whole team and especially hero and villain. We can say that this hero is back and expecting more good movies from him in futureOmg what did i watch and this is how you feels after watching such a awesome one... Music was extremely awesome... I enjoyed this movie a lot. I did not see a good climax for a movie than Swag this year.

This year, no telugu movie has a good story more importantly a good climax. Unworthy songs...fights..was fed up of getting fooled to spend my time..this underdog beats them all.

Vishnu kills it every scene and dialogue...all other actors are used aptly...no extra hypes...songs...fights...

Ritu Verma did very well..and Meera Jasmine as usual gave another spectacular performance. Bgm makes this movie more interesting...Sunil with his limited role is good.

Vishnu steals the show..should get an award

The movie is very good. The second half is a bit slow and uninteresting but overall the movie is a good attempt.

Shri Vishnu has done Lifetime Award winning acting. He has done very well in total 5 roles.

Meera Jasmin garu has to say Chomeback with this movie. Even if this character is not present in the climax, the nose job gives a lot of impact to that character. Rituvarma nice good job. Rest of the actors have done well in their characters.

The point taken by director Harshit Goli is well known but dealt very well. That does not mean that there are no mistakes. They do not appear until the climax. But the flashback is a bit confusing. It seems that it is not clear.

Started to watch movie with less expectations by seeing mixed review's but after watching this movie in our home we felt that it deserves more good reviews , men / women or 0 or 1 or 0/1 nothing but our hero sri vishnu deserves award for his performance. I can see his passion towards acting especially in 0/1 character 🙏🙏, all other characters equally helped in this movie presentation. I personally liked the sri vishnu all characters and ritu varma acting helped to have a good catche on the movie. Coming to comedy angle we enjoyed the satirical way of comedy with harsh reality, true to the words.

The concept's got some flavor, but the story's like a lukewarm pizza-kinda meh. A couple of characters pop, but most just fade into the background.

The screenplay? It drags like a long convo with your chatty uncle-kinda clumsy and hard to swallow.

Sri Vishnu flexed his acting chops across four roles, and Ritu Varma gave it her all, but the rest of the squad? Just vibin' at best.

Production design was on point-locations, sets, and props looked fresh, but the makeup? Let's just say it needed a glow-up.

Direction was decent, music was alright, and the cinematography? Just hanging out in the middle. Overall, you might wanna skip this one; it ain't worth your time...

Message by the movie and presentation of them movie is very good. But acting is top notch by Sri vishnu garu . I have no words to say what a talent he got. I got mesmerized by the transgender role. He literally looked like a goddess to me in his acting. I wish you next level movies for your career . Wanted to meet you in person if allowed. I am big fan of Nani Surya and sethupathi garu . Now you are on the same list . But this movie your acting is equivalent to Kamal sir. What a versatility . Lot of wishes for your work and dedication for each role in movie. I wish u get all awards for this tremendous work. Thanks for such a great movie.

It's good to communicate your ideas through a cinema, but what if the cinema itself ends up as a 2.5 hr long social commentary? That's exactly Swag is all about.

Director Hasith Goli deserves a pat on the back for coming with such a noble intention, but the execution was far from satisfactory. If viewed as a cinema, 1st half is a crashing bore, with literally so much going on the screen without any impact. But the interval makes us stick to the narrative. The entire second half becomes preachy, contrary to what they have promoted. One particular episode stands out, but rest of the movie isn't upto the mark.

Credit to Sree Vishnu for donning multiple getups, although one role stands out, rest all felt as a gimmicks, thanks to the flat writing. Rest of the cast did what they were given.

Technically, the movie is basic, BGM by Vivek Sagar is fine, editing makes sure proceedings aren't confusing, cinematography is okayish.

At the end, when viewed as a cinema, SWAG disappoints, but can watch it once for its intentions.

An once in a lifetime movie .. I would have give more than 10 .. but it is eye opening film on genders .. A must watch film .. dont miss it .. I am happy that I watched this movie .. The hero is a kamal hasan of the telugu industry.. He action is brilliant . With in short span he has proved himself the best actor .. The movie . The story, the action is splendorous. I always like Sree Vishnu movies. Was in the same mindset fro this one as well. 40 Minutes in and I regretted my declension.

Ritu Varma who already looks like a sadist plays a sadistic feminist role who casually hates men, like for no reason whatsoever, when her boyfriends like to make a point and make her come out of her mentally challenged attitude she shows how tough she is by giving everything he gifted her with love. She speaks of not equality but domination like lunatic. My family and I started at one another for 40 minutes before we decided enough is enough and left for a good walk and decided we will suppress this movie and that sadist lady from our memories.

Feminism is about equality in rights, pays and everything not dominating and deciding that all men are dogs for pete's sake. This is all from 40 minutes imagine if we sat down for the rest of the movie to see how idiotic that lady might have behaved.

First movie ever I walked out without watching completely and that too a movie of Sree Vishanu. God have mercy on us and no girl/woman gets impressed or influenced and become like the sadist lady from this movie.

Great performance from sree Vishnu... portrayed multiple characters with variations... deserve more awards and rewards..an emotional override...if this is an malyalam or tamil movie audience could have gone mad... Kudos to the director hasith goli for the sensible story and grandeur with the low budget. Even I like Their previous combo Raja Raja chora again an sensible movie. Him and Vivek atreya are breath of fresh air, telling their stories without nudity and extreme violence. These stories are to be told to the current society. Coming to the technical part as usual vivek sagar did his job and good cinematography and editing.

What a movie how will director got these type idea and unique and brilliant and great direction and srivishnu acting is superb... and I am feeling very shame on me . Because I didn't see these movie in theatre.one of the best movies I saw in 2024 ( Top 1). I have heard mixed reviews about this film before watching it. But when I started watching it, I was totally engaged with the screenplay. The characters and the story is amazing. I feel everyone should watch the film with their families. The top 3 best performances are Meera Jasmin, Sree Vishnu and Ravi Babu. Sree Vishnu in 4 different roles is worth mentioning. Meera Jasmin's comeback after a very long time is soothing. Ravi Babu and Getup Sreenu's comedy timing are hilarious.

The second half shoes intense story. This might bore the audiences a little after entertaining first half. But this is the crucial part of the story. With an open mind if you watch it, it will really touch your heart. I can happily say, it is one of the best films I have watched in 2024.

Full 10 stars to Sree Vishnu for his excellent acting skills, mind blowing, good story, not sure why people mentioned confusing, but not so if you watch properly. The transgender performance by Sree Vishnu is just great...not easy to do. Like I said, 10 Stars only for his performance in different characters. The facial changes for the grand father character could have been better, Sunil make up at the end also could have improved, direction is great, comedy at good level, overall a good entertainer with a different story line going back to centuries. Strongly encourage telugu industry to come with these kind of films in future and not just VFX driven ones with huge budgets.

I haven't had much expectations from the movie. Just watched the trailer felt it'll be different than any routine conventional movie story, and I'm a huge fan of Sree Vishnu garu, and his versatile script selection. This one feels very new and the way sree vishnu garu pulled all the characters he did in the movie is nothing but spectacular. I'd say this guy is highly talented and people should appreciate and recognise more of his efforts.
