This movie is a sheer fun, comedy.
The best part of story is the innocence of love that is very hard to find in movies these days , if u like the movie '96' u are gonna like this 100%. Fantastic direction with each frame of the movie. The cinematograpgy is superb too and the sound design is fantanstic.
"Premalu" is an absolute delight! It's refreshing to hear about a movie that brings back the innocence of love amidst comedy. The comparison to "96" definitely adds to the intrigue. It seems like the direction, cinematography, and sound design all contribute to making it a visually and emotionally engaging experience. And when it comes to acting, it sounds like the cast truly shines, especially with their impeccable dialogue delivery and timing. The mention of the male lead's stutter adds a unique touch to the character dynamics. Overall, "Premalu" seems like a must-watch for anyone craving a blend of heartfelt storytelling and comedy.

"Premalu 2024" proved to be a delightful surprise. I found this romantic comedy to be thoroughly engaging from beginning to end. The fresh-faced cast delivered charming and natural performances that drew me right into their quirky, relatable world.
I was impressed with how well the actors embodied their characters. There's a genuine quality to their interactions and emotions that adds an extra layer of enjoyment. The film's pacing is lively, moving from scene to scene with ease and preventing any dull moments from creeping in.
The humor is lighthearted and genuine, never feeling forced or over-the-top. I found myself laughing out loud on several occasions. "Premalu 2024" has a pleasant feel-good atmosphere that left me smiling long after the credits rolled.
If you're looking for a fun and heartwarming romantic comedy with a dash of youthful energy, I definitely recommend giving "Premalu 2024" a watch!

A complete laugh riot if you're a Malayali. Premalu is so entertaining and so relatable, it's truly unbelievable how good this was using such a simple template rom-com story. Even though this is set in the city of Hyderabad, the two kinds of life they showed brought so many memories of my time in Banglore. I've experienced both those lifestyles even if not to the extremes this showed. The way so many dialogues and situations worked can only work with charming performances, natural dialogue deliveries and the details of the dialogue that are so close to how this generation of Malayalis communicates. All the performances and the specific vision of the director to bring out those performances really make an impact.
But what hit me the most were the subtle passing dialogues which, even if omitted from the movie wouldn't change the entertainment factor of the movie. What would otherwise be just passing situational dialogues are closely constructed to give depth to the story and the characters. There were a few moments there that were too close to home for me even when that was so quickly passed by. It is this attention to detail that makes Girish's films special and different from all the similar films that follow such templates.
Even though it was nothing more than small talk, I was able to talk to Girish and Naslen, while they were dubbing for this movie. Whatever portion they were dubbing, I'd like to believe it was some specific dialogues. That really makes this a special one for me.

A feel good movie with refreshing faces in the main roles.
A well directed time pass movie. Entire 150 minutes of the movie is worth watching. A talented team of actors add glamour to the movie. Every actor has justified his / her role with lively acting. The movie is totally dialogue oriented and the script writer has been very careful in avoiding unnecessary and unwanted slangs - though the entire story spins around current new gen - who uses liberal expletives in their daily dialogues Every frame is well directed and movie maintains its pace.
Definitely worth watching with family members. Don't Miss This Movie.

The movie is basically a rom-com were 1st half is only comedy ,the humour was lit and not even a single second we had felt bored it was very much engaging and was also relatable very much with our own daily life.2nd half had more focused on the romantic side of the movie and it is a hell of pristine romance ,still the humour had not left and we had not bored for even a single second .The movie is best experienced with the friend group on a theatre completely into it . The references made in movies are also lit ,engaging the audience with presently trending / meme materials was a feast. We cants say if we can experience such a movie anyday soon .So try to watch this movies as soon as possible before it vanishes from big screen.

Premalu' is an enjoyable watch on the lives of young adults easing into their first jobs and discovering the recently-attained independence of being away from home.
At 156 minutes, Premalu is longer than the average film these days, but it justifies that duration with its engaging narration, even when we are sure of how it will all turn out in the end. The feverish pace set early on never slackens, with scenes shifting constantly and rhythmically, and Vishnu Vijay's music complementing it all. Naslen, Mamitha as well as much of the young cast fit into their roles organically. Premalu is a winner with its fresh, humorous treatment of a run-of-the-mill story.

Premalu (2024) :
Brief Review -
A random tale of today's nibba-nibbi, but truly a chuckling comedy! There are two ways to watch this film because it is made for two kinds of audiences. One section is for those who don't care much about storylines and creative ideas and are fans of love stories, maybe because they are sometimes involved in such stories. This section will hail it as a classic romance-hence justifying the use of "nibba-nibbi" in the headline. The second section, which cares a lot about good stories and content-driven films, will get to see a hilarious comedy. I'd include myself in the latter club, but let me tell you, I am not against love stories. I have my own favourites that may not be commercially successful but are great classics. Now, coming back to the comedy.. well, this is a genre for everyone. Nobody dislikes good comedy. Just keep that in mind and enjoy this fun ride that comes with some tiresome cliches. A college boy proposes to a girl, and she rejects it. The boy then falls in love with another girl during the wedding of a friend. I won't call these two things cliches because these things are very relatable and real since they happen a lot. I have seen many of my friends trying to flirt with girls and make friends with them at other friends' weddings or relatives weddings. What happens after that is what I would call tiresome cliches, because I am really tired of watching the same things again and again. Aadhi's character is mad, but damn funny. It went terribly wrong in the last 20-25 minutes, which I didn't really like. Reenu's love took so much time, and I guess it was predictable right from the first scene. The same happens with Sachin, a not-so-intelligent and educated boy-again, the same old cliche. So, there's nothing new but some great laughter. You'd definitely enjoy the fun, if not the boring romance. Nevertheless, thank you for not wasting 2 hours of my life (the other 30 minutes did waste it).

~ The film 'Premalu' directed by Girish AD starring Naslen and Mamitha Baiju is a very fun and enjoyable journey from start to end. The light hearted tone and new generation relatability all makes this a new age comedy entertainer. Naslen and Mamitha Baiju's performances were excellent too , the chemistry between Naslen and Mamitha was nice aswell but the chemistry between Naslen and Sangeeth Pratap (Amal Davis) was just excellent. Their comedic gags really worked well. Another great performance was by Shyam Mohan as the annoying bestie Aadhi who also contributed to the film's humour. Overall Premalu is a fun and care-free entertainer that is sure to make some laughs in the theatre. Good watch.

First of all the film isn't boring at all. It might not be relatable for working age youths cause this film would be too cute for them, but perfect for hopeless romantic's at school's, and maybe to an extent for college students.
Naslen who started doing support roles like Dileep through this film might have finally become another main role actor in the industry. Naslen has done his homework very well to establish it well. The moment's where he shows his shyness reminds me as copied from the late actor Innocent, the moment's where he shows his shamelessness and playfulness reminded me of the much younger hustler-type Mohanlal. There were moments of him that reminded me of Dileep's certain reactions to situations in films, and Tovino's when it became a matter of saying things straight but with a Naslen touch. So, he is putting in his effort in creating an appeal with the audience. Mamita was able to convey her role and express the required emotions very well, however, I felt she should have done more to top it, cause it felt very subdued and lacked that bursting energy. She also needs to take care of herself when the truth is that the older actresses in the industry are trying very hard to capture youth. Shyam Mohan, a person whom I haven't seen before or remember seeing in films through this one has definitely become a recognisable actor with the richness of the character he embodied, and I would like to see him in more star-studded films to see if he could give more competitive acting. Sangeeth Prathap also did a recognisable role. Unfortunate casting, and people who had nothing to perform were Meenakshi and Mathew, both of them were added as fillers and it wasn't required for the film. Someone new should have been given the chance, just to expand the roster of actors in the industry. Meenakshi shouldn't have agreed to it, cause it was a role where she wasn't even able to channel her energy into the character.
For me from the moment Devaragam 2.0 was performed, a happy kind of cringe came over me. A very common characteristic of Naslen films. Film is a simple puppy love story, and people who are in it are able to do it in their own terms and freedom is what makes it into a whole story. Only objection that I have is that the Sachin character was going to U. K., a place where no one sensible would go for their studies anymore. I don't know if it would have been more romantic or not if Sachin didn't board the plane. The film could have released with two versions, I believe something like that has been done before, but it was a long time ago. So, there was an opportunity for it in this film.
Overall, it's an enjoyable watch, so I do recommend watching it now through theaters or later through streaming services. A very family friendly film.

After seeing the reviews and publicity i watched telugu dub of premalu. Believe me its not worth the hype. I didn't find anything good about reenu except her smile. This was so lag. And telugu dub has worst kullu jokes why to include kurchini madtha petti and kumari aunty ? Apart from that , teenage boy sachin character is well written that any girl would fall for He is toxic somehow and few things were uncleared btwn their parents. There's no love from reenu side it clearly shows.and great disappointment at starting of the story and ending it could have been much better than this. Telugu dub is worst.

Premalu is an out & out rom-com entertainer from Girish AD. There is no single dull moment in film and that itself is the biggest plus of the movie.
The comedy strikes all the right chords and the cute romance between Naslen & Mamitha are sure to tingle some nostalgic memories in your brain. The movie is also very relatable and would be an instant talk among the young audiences.
All the actors have done complete justice to their respective roles. The camera work is too good. Music from Vishnu Vijay uplifts the movie and gives the movie all the freshness it needs.
A 10/10 from me. Thoroughly enjoyed this one.
Big congratulations to the full team of Premalu.

What a beautiful film it is. Just came in my suggestion in hotstar and I fully watched it. Enjoyed a lot.
Acting, direction, story, comedy all are just perfect.
I will watch again. Please do watch this beautiful film you are gonna love it.
Thanks to the makers for such a good quality film.
Mamitha Baiju and Naslen K. Gafoor, Shyam Mohan and other star casts are played and executed their role very nicely.
I specifically liked Mamitha who played role of Reenu and Naslen who played role of Sachin a lot.
I am regretting why I missed this film in theatre when it was released.
But thankfully no one recommended and I found this masterpiece film in OTT and watched by my own.
Trust me do watch this film and you will definitely enjoy it.
Thanks.

Loved this movie.. couldn't watch in theatre.. i remember mocking this film when i first saw its poster on the road.. later it became a hit.. now after releasing on ott some people said it's overrated.. maybe it's overrated to non malayalis, coz the dubbed version would've dubbed it by translating the subtitle ..subtitle couldn't do justice to most of the dialogues which are regional jokes that non malayalis wouldn't understand.. anyway, the first thing i noticed was how great the making is ,, the transition effects, shots everything is great for the budget.. Loved the performance of most of the cast .. Start to end , it was a roller coaster ride.. fun to watch.. don't expect a mind frikin story.. just a normal love story which is really fun.. didn't feel like its 2 and a half hour movie... The songs are good, naslens acting is good, i got the vibe and feeling, the movie Bangalore days gave me in 2014.. because Bangalore days felt like what i wished my life could be.. premalu is also the same.. what i wanted in my life is shown in the film and what i couldn't do in my real life.. Loved it , well made.

I finished this movie with a smile on my face. One of the best film in Mollywood. Sachin, reenu ,and amal davis. Amal Davis's character influenced me the most in this movie. Seems like we all need a friend like Amal Davis. Finding a friend like Amal Davis is a rare thing. Naslen and Mamita acted very natural, the chemistry between Mamita and Naslan is very interesting. Some scenes seemed to strike in my heart. I love this movie very much. Every character in this movie has done their part very well. I wish this movie would never end. My personal favourite is the climax scene. Mollywood is going to bang....

Massive hype about for this film over the past several weeks, I think it was this film that originally released only in Malayalam and given the positive reception, they decided to delay the release on streaming, dubbed it and released it in other languages. All that hype, I finally got around to watching it and found it to be.....very mid.
There was proper chemistry between the lead - didn't feel like they were acting at all. All of the cast looked like your friends from daily life. The heroine, for a change, didn't have over-the-top makeup that you've come to expect from the films these days. A Malayalam film, based mainly in Hyd. And partly in TN, not sure if that was smart for ticket sales in all regions or perhaps genuine approach to show diversity (or both) - can't tell.
All that said, the humor was good in parts, mostly chuckle-worthy; and even had some 'siripu eh varala' moments that were sold like they were rib-tickling scenes on screen. The plot, not only, has been done a bajillion times, but it was also not convincing. You get why Sachin 'falls for' Reenu, it almost feels as if Reenu is guilted into the relationship.
I would have given it the 'Love is Blind' pass but.... I wish this part had been done better. Since this was central to the film and it felt weak, the whole film fell apart for me. Looks like a LOT of people loved the film, found it relatable (which is a scary prospect if you find guilting someone like that relatable) so you might enjoy it. That said, in my books, Premalu - overrated.

Damn!
That was refreshing and beautiful!
Can't really find any complaints whatsoever, the comedy was clean and well executed and the story was carried on smoothly till the last shot.
Stand out performance from the entire crew and especially the lead actors. This movie is a strong message to the industry that you don't need vulgarity or obscene double entendres to make the audience laugh. I was pleasantly surprised by the reception and the way story was executed despite having a predictable storyline.
This is one of the few occasions where I truly believe that Malayalam movie industry is pushing in the right direction.

Just watched premalu and it's a one time watch feel good movie. In the movie Sachin, played by Naslen K Gafoor, is an engineering graduate who wants to advance his profession in the United Kingdom and is so bored with his hometown and the family's bakery business that he seeks an escape. Sachin briefly relocates to Hyderabad at the recommendation of his friend Amal, played by Sangeeth Prathap. There, he meets Reenu, played by Mamitha Baiju, an IT professional, and he develops feelings for her. However, Aadhi, played by Shyam Mohan, a senior colleague at the company, shows an interest in Reenu. And that makes the movie more comdey.
Naslen and Sangeeth Prathap steal the show with their innocent yet hilarious characterizations. Among the female actors, Mamitha Baiju and Akhila Bhargavan are a delight to watch, with Mamitha Baiju delivering her best performance. Meenakshi Raveendran, portraying the role of Wanderlust, appears sporadically but manages to evoke laughter.
As Sachin and Reenu form a friendship, events unfold toward the conclusion that shapes the narrative. As a drawback it felt like clinched story and predictable climax.

The story line of the movie a teenage boy falling in love, getting rejected and then one fine meets a girl accidentally which turns out to be very important part of his life. We cannot say this a unique topic but still the movie gives the freshness.
Director and co writer Girish AD & writer Kiran Josey had beautifully penned the screenplay.
There is laughter from start to end and that's what audience always wants. 2 hrs 45 min complete fun experience moment.
Performance of the lead artists and also the other supporting stars had dropped their performance ability thereby leaving the audience remembering them after leaving the big screen.
Friendship, Romance, Breakup, Missing the loved ones, Patch up etc this sounds to be old but still it has its freshness and when it is delivered correctly it creates an impact & this movie fits the slot too well..
Overall beginning of February rises with the positivity..
