Man what a movie I have watched. Such a good gem of a thriller. Movie started normally and took a great turn as a suspense thriller. Nothing new story but the the presentation and screenplay keeps you edge of seat. Fresh movie coming out of stupid mass movies.
MS Baskar such an artist. Nailed his character with his acting, body language and dialogues, Such an great actor who deserves national award. Shows all emotions easily. Harish can clearly say this is his best so far. Equally competed with MS Baskar. An ego between two good people makes life miserable. All supporting characters (Ms Baskar wife, his daughter, indhuja and all others) really did well.
Kudos to director for taking such a simple story(simple parking issue)and clearly written a screen play and dialogues (was wondering if these kind of simple and good movies will come only in Malayalam. But great attempt by director and applause for production house in believing this story).
Special note to music director who's the main reason for such an gripping thriller.
New age so called high budget directors should learn from this movie director on how to make a good movie with simple plot.
Really enjoyed. Pls support these kind of good movies in theatres to come out of some stupid movies.

This film has a sweet start for a family who just came to their new home on second floor. On first lives a family who is the for more than 10 years. A sweet start taking dark turns for a mere parking lot. A basic concept is presented by a thrilling way . A must watch suggestion for everyone what everyone can watch with family . From a slow track scene it hits first track and with a great sequence . I think it will not waste your time .
Ms Baskar done a massive thing . This is one of the best underrated thriller from pan india from normal to fast track situation just for a simple reason car parking . This movie also shows the nature of human being . Small things trigger our ego and then this types of scenario happen with our life .

Wow..No words to express.. really a fantastic movie with great screenplay. No any movies in recent times like this. MS Bhaskar and Harish acting 👏👍👍. Sam CS music 🔥. Really a theatrical experience. Don't wait for OTT release. Must watch in theatres. A drama movie with thriller elements is a new attempt. Second half is a emotion with seat edge thriller. Family entertainer with a unexpected twist at interval block. Worth for money. Trailer looks simple but the movie is executed well. Without any promotion, this movie will be a blockbuster and the best movie in Harish history. Don't miss this gem. Watch in theatres.

Unique writing and screenplay. Great acting by Harish and MS Bhasker. An ego fight between two adults. Two men taking out their frustrations on each other. I couldn't think of any Tamil movie of this sort in the past decade. Things start small and become so huge. Indhuja has also done a good job. The struggle is real with rented places! An apt title for this movie. It's easy to gel into this story. Supporting actors have also done a fab job. No songs, no comedy, cliche scenes or dialogues. The movie is to the point and would not let you think of anything beyond. Unlike his other movies, Harish has chosen a different genre this time.

I and my family loved this movie because:
-> Every scene is interesting
-> Very realistic
-> Vera level BGM in the scenes
-> Great humour in 1st half
-> Serious tone in second half having us at the edge of the seat - Every scene was thrilling, making us think what will happen next
-> One of the few films that doesn't mock women for the sake of joke, and that shows the aggressive mindset of some husbands and how it's unacceptable (kudos for that, appreciate such films)
-> Like others said, top-notch acting from the two leads and even some of the side characters
Some said the ending could have been different but it was good enough, I can't think of how it could have been done better.
The entire November there was no good movie out so I was forced to go to Jigarthanda and I regretted in the first scene itself that I had to come out of the theatre during interval because it was SO boring. After watching that kuppa padam, I wanted to go for a family-oriented, violence-free, story-rich, humourous movie and thank goodness this movie is released! Before watching Parking, I first thought that this is going to be a decent film that won't bore me and that I'll just go to the movie to have the theatre experience, enjoy it and come back. But I did not expect that the movie was going to be soo much good. That too, I watched Parking in the biggest screen in TN (EPIQ) and I loved the entire experience. Thanks to the movie team for creating such a great film.

Here's a simple but effective addition to the "Bruised Male Ego" cinematic universe which already features the likes of Driving Licence, Ayyapanum Koshiyum, Kaduva, Adi, and plenty more in Malayalam. This time, the setting is a house in Chennai and the ego clash occurs between tenants who get worked up over their shared parking space. The Tamil thriller follows the same pattern as the Malayalam films I've mentioned where a minor incident gradually spirals out of control and leads to irrepressible repercussions. The writing takes it slow, letting us into the distinct worlds of its protagonists; I use the word "distinct" as they come from different strata of life and have completely different ideologies, yet they share one common element - an easily wounded ego.
MS Bhaskar and Harish Kalyan play the two men at loggerheads with each other, and the former's character is unquestionably easier to hate. Beyond a point, he shows no redemptive qualities (as his wife puts it across) as a husband, a father, or a human being. While Harish Kalyan doesn't show signs of struggle as a performer, I feel the role could have produced a greater impact in the hands of a more seasoned actor. That it's his face alone on the film's poster is also a decision I'd like to challenge. Bhaskar, as expected, is outstanding with even the subtle changes in his facial expressions adding to the film's overall positives. The score by Sam CS is also a definite plus.
There are also some really tense moments within the screenplay that work in its favor. These include a fantastic raid scene at a government office, a sabotage scene at night, and a public showdown between the two men. On the other hand, Kalyan's character ends up getting the short end of the stick, with his problems mostly limited to being there for his pregnant wife. There are flashes of other issues that are brought up, like how he's underdelivering at work and frequently being an absentee, but it's all conveniently brushed aside for larger thrills. The cops also only show up in one instance, and they're also rendered inconsequential in this scenario. The women, like most others in similar films, are the ultimate sufferers.
While it works within the thriller context, the screenplay route in the film's penultimate and final acts becomes increasingly predictable, especially once we get a hang of how things are shaping up. For a good while, I thought writer-director Ramkumar Balakrishnan had done away with that particular idea, but the film circles back to it in a rather uncomplicated and rushed closure.

The core conflict is slightly misleading, and the basic premise (from outside) may raise doubts among the majority of viewers, who would question how a simple disagreement over a parking spot could lead to more serious consequences.
I can understand their concerns, as I had the same doubts initially. My skepticism grew during the first half an hour, as there were no major events taking place. However, once the story started to escalate, there was hardly any time to catch your breath. This was thanks to a fast-paced screenplay that kept the momentum going.
"Parking" is undoubtedly one of the better films in the Anti-Revenge space, with a strong script that delves into the clash of egos between two self-centered individuals and their ideological differences, portrayed with remarkable authority and conviction.
My only complaint is the lack of development for the supporting characters. While I was fully invested in the intense battle of egos between the lead characters, I wish there had been more emphasis on their families to make me more worried about their well-being.

One of the best ego clash movie i have ever witnessed in any language. This will be one of the best in tamil ever. Harish kalyan will be his career best movie, one of the best performance from him. And M. S. Baskar omg he is a master of all perfomances. The negative shade which has perfectly suited him. He just lived in that character. Every scene and screenplay is top notch not a bit boredom. A pure ego clash. The director script is soo good. So animative and makes audience feel the heat in the seat. A perfect thriller. Parking a must watch movie available in hotstar. Please do watch it. All the other characters did their best.

Yes, the ending wasn't great, but let's set that aside for a moment. 2023 has witnessed the release of a few unexpectedly good single-conflict Tamil movies; from 'Good Night', to 'Ayodhi', to 'Dada', etc. Joining this impressive list is Ramkumar Balakrishnan's 'Parking', where a seemingly trivial dispute between two tenants over a parking space spirals out of control propelled by the egos on both sides. A premise this simple is dangerously easy to fumble, but debutant Balakrishnan's measured self-awareness makes the cinematic experience fresh and rewarding.
The film's success is underpinned by several factors, with the standout being its acting unit. Veteran actor M. S. Bhaskar delivers one of his most compelling performances to date, understanding the depths of his character and playing it to uncriticizable perfection. Complementing his presence is co-lead Harish Kalyan, whose uncompromising performance matches auras with that of Bhaskar's. The supporting cast too is equally well-chosen, seamlessly blending into the narrative when required. On the technical side, much credit is due to the director for elevating what could have been yet another low-budget B-movie into a finely crafted thriller. Every directorial choice is meticulously thought out and executed to perfection, with cinematography and sound playing pivotal roles in stylizing the movie.
Now onto the climax, which I'll avoid spoiling with specifics. The film maintains a consistent tone throughout, and the way in which the movie progressed, the ending seemed almost inevitable. While the logic behind the climax can be debated, the extent to which the conflict gets overblown seems a tad ridiculous and bombastic for the sake of an elevated climax. If it had been any more careless in its handling, it could have severely undermined an otherwise great movie. Thankfully, the damage isn't irreparable, and 'Parking' can still be relished for its thrilling buildup and pointed storytelling. If you're contemplating watching this movie, please do go ahead. The climax can always be debated afterwards.

This is easily one of the top 3 movies of the year just for the engaging experience it provides to the audience. Originating from a minute parking incident , all the aspects of movie making comes together in its perfection to provide a compelling package. The BGM , Edit and DOP makes a subtle drama into a thriller movie. The acting performance led by Ms Bhaskar , Harish and every other casts is to its absolute perfection. This is a Ego drama which most of us can resonate in our daily life and the subtle climax is a reminder to all of us to show kindness in our fast moving life. Absolutely loved it.

"Parking" is a charming exploration of human dynamics, centered around a seemingly trivial conflict over a parking space. The storyline unfolds as a young couple renting the first floor clashes with a 60-year-old man on the ground floor when car purchases ignite a battle of egos. The film skillfully weaves together varying emotions and introspection, using the parking dispute as a metaphor for larger human conflicts.
Authentic performances by M. S. Bhaskar and Harish Kalyan, relatable characters and a poignant message about empathy make this movie a delightful and thought-provoking experience.
With moments of tension and genuine emotions, "Parking" captures the essence of everyday relationships. The film cleverly transforms a mundane dispute into a journey of self-discovery, demonstrating that beneath surface-level conflicts lie opportunities for growth and understanding.
Ultimately, the movie triumphs in delivering a powerful message about humanity prevailing over ego, leaving audiences with a warm sense of satisfaction and a reminder that even the smallest battles can teach us profound lessons. A masterpiece tamil movie delivered by debutant director Ramkumar Balakrishnan !

What is in there to make it a Thriller? Nothing. Just a drag, which a 30-minute crime series episode can capture. And they made a movie out of it? It is too highly rated for a movie which, out of which first part is just unnecessary boring drag like a daily soap!
Acting is good, no doubt, execution is good, but overall entertainment is not much. Viewer would wait for more than one hour to see some action, and thrill in it. There is thrill and action in the flick, but after a lot of time waste. I sawt the Hindi version of it, and I'd say dubbing was very good. However, had it been made by Bollywood, it would have got no more than 3-star, and that's the sad part.

Movie was written perfectly, I didn't feel like dip throughout the whole film, screenplay focused mainly on the plot and did not have any unnecessary songs or comedy scenes. What a performance from MS Bhaskar and Harish Kalyan. Music was okay wouldn't complain anything about it.
Cinematography was good as well.
Felt like could've changed the heroine for a better reach in terms of promotion.
Overall: Good plot with engaging storyline 8/10.

It's like watching a good thriller movie after a long time. The acting of the actors is good. The story and direction of the movie is awesome. This movie is an example that if a man has an ego he will go to any peril. The scene where he finally realizes that it is his family members who are affected by them and changes himself is very beautiful. There is no mistake in this film. Harris should give a good film like this. It was not only the family members but the two cars that were affected by them. Great experience, definitely watch this movie, it will be good, thank you

It has very interesting screenplay and characters . First things first,
I think it has so much ego and angry. Don't wait to watch it go watch it now because this movie shows you how can ego kills.
And another thing in this movie is direction. It has good direction. And talking about the actors main leads done a great job and side characters a decent job. You never gets bored but the climax is average.we watched this type of climax in many movies. Now talking about parent guidance. I watched this movies in Telugu and there is only one profanity word in whole movie 'lanjakodaka'. Except that you can watch this movie with parents.

Great BGM and cinematography... These 2 things leading the movie in a engaging way ....
Sam CS gave life to the movie.... Even the simple scenes highlighted because of BGM...
Initially it was fun watching. So watched with kids... But later realized 2nd off is not for kids.....
2 persons ego clash was interesting but at some point of time we need some deviation otherwise kind of keep on going on and on... felt kind of fed up... In between some relaxation could have been better idea ... Climax is way too extreme and detail...... Why this much extreme detailed way of violence kind of disturbing at the end....
There should be a message that at least when family involved there should have been a good ending with some realization of their egos..but keep on going is kind of extreme....
One thing - 2nd off is not for kids... Kids might get bad idea...

I have waiting for this movie to watch for the day it was released. Some good thing they gonna tell us through the movie even in climax they made it simple. But imagine about the fight happend from the beginning of that movie. Seriously climax need to be more strong. Lot of unwanted scene fighting scene between Harish and msbhaskar seriously unwanted content. These movies shows the reality of adult and elder person ego in this generation I can accept that's all true. But after watching this his I don't think so none going to take good things from this movie good things in the climax saying sorry it's just a short scene. But this ego clashes I don't think so it's not happening in every places. It may happen you should have to show the solution.
