The song on it's own is ICONIC. But now the MOVIE! It's so original and epic! I love the unique way this film blends various styles and genres seamlessly together, creating an unexpected experience. New characters, new music, unapologetic humor. We need a sequel!!!
Getting to know more about Jennifer Murphy and her true GoGirl story was also interesting AND inspirational. My friends and I at college are going to have a really big watch party because we want Jen's indie moving to be seen and experienced by as many people as possible.
Chow, the villain, is also one of the refreshing characters in this film. A villain who's funny and even like-able adds a very unique twist!

The other reviews aren't even reviews. They appear to be some kind of sarcasm. Watch the whole movie it will continue to surprise you at every return. Jennifer Murphy GoGirl is a genius. Part story, part comedy, Part world class drama, and part cartoon, It simply couldn't be more interesting or fun. I'm not gonna spoil anything, but the messaging is also pretty cool! The actor that played Chow was exceptionally funny. Also, Fiona, the girl that was in her original music video, was very funny too. I'm having to work very hard not to give spoilers. Trust me check out this movie, Watch it with your kids, Or have a movie party!
I Want to Be Neenja is not just an unfunny film-it's a tone-deaf, culturally insensitive mess that confuses parody with stereotype and self-awareness with laziness. What might have been intended as a quirky, irreverent comedy quickly collapses under the weight of its own outdated humor and shallow writing.
From the very start, the film leans heavily on a caricatured portrayal of East Asian culture that feels more at home in the early 2000s than in any era trying to be remotely self-reflective. Rather than satirizing ignorance or subverting tropes, it indulges in them-gleefully and without much nuance. The "jokes" often come at the expense of others, relying on exaggerated accents, clichéd martial arts references, and awkward slapstick that borders on uncomfortable.
The performances do little to elevate the material. While the cast seems game, the script gives them nothing to work with beyond one-note gags and recycled punchlines. Worse still, the main character's journey feels hollow-there's no meaningful growth, no lesson learned, just a meandering series of poorly constructed set pieces that quickly wear out their welcome.
Visually, the film isn't impressive either. The production design is cheap, the direction is flat, and the editing often undercuts what little comedic timing the scenes try to build. Any attempt at heart or message is drowned out by a desperate need to be edgy or viral.
In short, I Want to Be Neenja mistakes cringe for comedy and lacks the self-awareness or cleverness to justify its choices.
I wish I could get 1:25 of my life back to watch this "movie", but unfortunately, I cannot. 0/10 stars.

A cinematic marvel that should be studied in schools around the world. Incredibly unique conceptualization executed perfectly, unlikely to ever be duplicated to such a grand scale due to its overwhelming originality. Might be the best mindbending movie in history, a generational psychological horror film dressed to perfection as a trashy meme documovie. One of the best plot twists in history, made even better when understanding the real life ramifications behind it, blending cinema and reality in an uncanny valley style that black mirror would be envious of. Uncomfortable in the best way, every single person played their roles incredibly. A masterclass in human psychology, a deep dive rabbit hole into delusion, something to show kids for generations. Don't judge a movie by its cover 😉

This was absolutely one of the best movies I have seen. I have recommended it to everyone I know. Absolutely the best I have seen in a long time. The writers, directors, actors and actresses did an awesome job of telling this story and making us all laugh. I can't wait to see what Ms. Murphys next project might be, and hopefully see something soon. Also dying to see blow for blow. I lost my husband recently and he would have definitely loved this movie. Will definitely watch it again. Always better the second time around. Wish everyone involved in this movie a whole lot of luck for future entertainment.
