I love zombie/apocalypse type of movies! Not sure why, but find them entertaining. I could not stop laughing during this one, not because it was intentionally funny, but because it was one of the worst ones I've ever watched! Just when you think it can't get any more stupid, it does! Yes, I watched the entire thing, I just couldn't look away. Nothing makes sense! The writing is ridiculous and riddled with inconsistencies!
In this case, these zombies are infected with rabies. And of course, the two sheriffs radios won't work. Why would people infected with rabies interfere with radio signals? That's just one of the utterly comical and ridiculous things that takes place. Watch it if you want a good laugh.

Well made, sort of average movie. I did not except a whole lot from the 636475858th zombie movie out there, but it was not bad at all.
The wife was incredibly, painfully annoying throughout the entire film - yes, it was explained, in fact, twice over, and it makes sense, but still... - and the actress playing the character did not help one bit. She was a bad match for the husband in every way.
Apart from that, the movie looked good, had a coherent story, it held interest. It was far from the most original thing you'll ever see, but it filled and evening just fine. Not something I would want to watch over and over again, but I liked it more than I thought I would. To my mind it does not deserve the low rating it stands at now. It's like frozen pizza: you know you can get better, but it's all right.

Outbreak attempts a pioneering approach to the zombie-infection-survival genre, drawing inspiration from films like Sweet Girl (2021) and The Others (2001). While the plot isn't identical, it clearly strives for a similar impact-unfolding as a psychological thriller with a twist that turns everything on its head. In both Sweet Girl and The Others, I left in suspense until the final moments, when a shocking revelation completely alters mi perception of the story. Outbreak seems to follow this formula but falters by revealing too much too soon. The core issue lies in the execution of its mystery; by the midway point, it becomes apparent that something is off with the protagonist. The realization that he is, in fact, the "monster" occurs far earlier than it should, undermining the intended twist and robbing the finale of its full impact. Despite this misstep, the film does offer a fresh take on the genre and may appeal to fans of psychological thrillers with unconventional ending. However, for those expecting a gripping mystery that keeps them guessing until the very end, this film may feel underwhelming.
This entire movie was made for the ending, a pointless movie, with zero character and plot development. The entire movie i don't think the zombies made 1 single kill, usually in other zombies movies they come in hordes, the horde in this movie is like 9 zombies. All that followed by subpar acting from nonbelieveable characters, blah blah blah.....then the last 10 minutes of the movie it happens and honestly makes the train wreck you just watched almost worth it, in a weird way. I didn't see it coming, I enjoyed it, the movie was god awful but the ending was pretty solid. What they did perfectly? The music, lol the music really helped carry the movie. I'm not a huge fan on running zombies but they did an alright job, most gore looked real, I appreciate that.
Saw the movie before reading the 1st spoiler riddled review from another viewer. Would have ruined the plot if I'd read it. Now that I've seen the movie & read it I completely disagree. Other reviewer hated it. I have seen a heap of horror over the years and this movie held me on the edge of my seat & made me nervous for the next scare the whole way through. That's hard to do with a very jaded horror buff like me. See for your self and you decide. I thought that it was scary and clever.
I like any horror filmed outdoors and this is certainly that. I experienced an ever increasing ominous sense of dread. It's low budget BUT it delivers. Main actor carried it so well, good supporting cast. I think they all did a fine job.
