A very badly directed which will shred a viewers patience to bits. Clueless direction, horrible acting and baseless n illogical storyline. I really cant understand why such a veteran and versatile actor, Mohanlal Ji, signed this project. An absolute waste of time and resources. The actor playing the role of Mohanlal' son, and the actress opposite him, they need some basic acting classes. The movie is like a stinging shoe.
I truly believe that Vrushabha is a magnificent movie, and I am so happy I watched it. In my opinion, it is not just a film but a grand celebration of Mohanlal's incredible acting talent. I was completely blown away by how he managed to play two different characters from different times so perfectly. I loved seeing him as a powerful king; he looked so royal and strong that I couldn't take my eyes off the screen.
For me, the heart of the movie is the emotional story about the bond between a father and his son. I felt very moved by the way their relationship was shown across two different lives. I also think the visual effects and the action scenes were outstanding-they made the movie feel like a big adventure. I really enjoyed the background music as well, as it made the heroic moments feel even more special. To me, this movie shows exactly why Mohanlal is such a legend. I feel proud as a fan to see him take on such a massive and creative project, and I think it is a must-watch for anyone who loves great storytelling.

I genuinely don't understand how Vrshabha is sitting anywhere near a 10/10 rating on IMDb. Either people watched a completely different film, or the rating system has become a joke. What I saw was not a misunderstood masterpiece or a bold experiment-it was a bloated, lifeless bomb that mistakes loudness for substance and slow motion for storytelling.
Let's start with the core problem: there is nothing in this film. No gripping story, no emotional depth, no originality. The plot crawls forward using tired clichés that have been recycled so many times in Indian cinema that they've lost all impact. Every major beat is predictable minutes before it happens. There is no tension because the film never earns it. It just assumes the audience will clap because a "mass" moment is happening on screen.
The acting, surprisingly, is one of the weakest aspects. Instead of nuanced performances, we get exaggerated expressions and forced intensity. It feels less like actors inhabiting characters and more like people posing for posters. Emotional scenes fall flat because they are written poorly and performed without conviction. When a film fails to make you feel anything-anger, sadness, excitement-it has already failed at a basic cinematic level.
Direction is another major letdown. Scenes drag endlessly, as if runtime alone can create importance. Slow-motion shots are abused to the point of parody. Background score screams for attention, desperately trying to inject energy into scenes that are fundamentally hollow. Instead of enhancing moments, the music exposes how empty those moments really are.
Visually, the film looks expensive, but expense does not equal quality. Glossy frames can't hide weak writing. Grand sets and stylized action mean nothing when the narrative lacks purpose. This is cinema designed for trailers and fan edits, not for actual viewing.
Which brings me to the IMDb rating. A near-perfect score for a film like this raises serious questions. Organic audience reactions don't align with such inflated numbers. It feels less like genuine appreciation and more like manufactured hype, driven by fan culture, paid promotions, or blind loyalty rather than honest critique.
In the end, Vrshabha isn't misunderstood-it's overrated beyond reason. Calling it a "mass entertainer" doesn't excuse bad writing, weak performances, and empty spectacle. If this is what earns a 10/10 today, then the rating system has lost all credibility. This film isn't special, bold, or memorable. It's just loud, long, and forgettable.

Rating - 2.75/5
A period fantasy fictional drama portraying the repercussions of a curse in past and present life.
The plot of the story shows a businessman haunted by a lucid dream over a curse in his past life and the awful events that unfolds forms the nutshell of the story.
Nandakishore has pulled off a period drama with stellar visuals but failed to connect the audience into the movie with a flat and non linear narration. The filmmaker has explored revenge, vengeance, emotions, romance and mystery through the story and managed to grab the audience just with the few action sequences. The filmmaker has extensively made use of AI techniques for deaging the characters in the story for showing few sequences in the past.
Good performance by Lalettan and excelled in action sequences in the movie that reminded of one of his highly criticized and trolled movie of recent time. All the actors has done their portions decently.
The movie has great action sequences, cinematography and production design.
The week writing and poor narration makes the movie a one time watch just for Mohanlal.
