Højst besynderlige typer

I lovely story, realy. But the sarcasm-styled dialogue of the two older guys, was a bit over the top. It's like it was trying too hard, to get the points across. It made the acting staccato-like and abrupt. As if the whole dialogue was written for a cartoon. Perhaps not accidental, given the writers long, succesful career as a cartoonist. It just doesn't seem to work on screen here. I liked the contrast between the boomers and millenials. The millenial's acting was a lot better, and more natural, though. Lovely odysey, as it was. But a bit too simple and naive. Nuances and depth, would have helped.

A man meet an old friend by a coincidence when he is on his way to a restaurant two look for a ring he had forgot. They decides to keep company and starts walking. After a while a young woman join them. This constellation of people is something very different.

You can fell the cynicism that hides behind the witty lines that comes from these men. Its an interesting contrast to this young woman. She cant really stand the way they are communicating.

Its obvious that the main character use this way of approaching life to protect himself from a pain inside. He use shallow manner is just a shield. After a while you can see how the facade cracks a bit.

The story line plays out one evening. Its simple but still very original.

And its also a little bit weird, which I like.

It is a film about friendship an about moving on in life.

All his life this man has been hiding away behind sarcasm and never looked at his life or accepted his reality. And that all falls apart when he proposes to his girlfriend, who is sick of his behavior and jokes - which you definitely feel through the movie! He is a weird oddling, and the story is about weirdos, just like the name of the movie.

When bumping into an old friend the friend reminds him of the best and worst in himself, and when a young girl in trouble tags along they both asks questions and provokes him to be real. Probably something many people struggle with why the subject feels real to me..

I love how this story tells about how tragedies and coincidences have big effect on our lives and where we go. The mix of generations worked well as I think it also teaches him about how we can learn from each other's point of view no matter age. It seems that he needs to stop generalizing and that he can also learn from someone from another generation and from someone younger than himself.

The walk in the city gives a lively feeling and reminds me of great summer nights where anything can happen! Just like in this movie. I had a great time!

This is the worst Danish movie I've seen in quite a while. Not because it in any way took issue with anything I disagree with, only for being perfectly boring.

It seemed to me to be only a commercial for Copenhagen, since there were a lot of beautiful shots of most of the sites in the city.

It isn't precisely the essence of a road movie since there was very little car travelling, but still it was sort of a road movie with a very weak (almost non-existing) storyline, poor attempts of bad jokes, bad acting from everyone, a gallery where you never got to understand the girls role in the movie other than, hey, it's 2024, we can't make a movie without a girl in big role.

The only reason this doesn't get one star from me is the camera work. Kind of reminded me of "Badehotellet" with the very glittering images most of the time out side in the sun.

I have no idea what the writer or director thought when they were making this, its absolutely atrocious from start to finish, its embarrasing that adult people thought making this was okay, the acting, the writing, everything about this horrendous flick stinks, usually i love both Bjerg and Buch, but saying yes to something like this shows the lust for money and the indifference for pride and quality. I feel sorry for anyone sitting down and watching this, if you read this, please do not do it! Its a waste of life, and im actually mad writing this review. Go save anyone person from watching this atrocious movie. Farewell.
