This could have been 3-4 episodes

I am with most reviews here. This could have been way shorter and the For Judy episode was way too long, way too detailed and way too graphic plus it added nothing to the story itself. The plot twist and ending are great, the idea of the whole this is great. Acting was awesome. I think the fact that it was 8 episodes long tarnish the whole thing. All in all, it was a good story and i dont regret watching it but mannnn this could have been shorter. Filming location was sooo beautiful.

As my review who still needs 123 characters at this point so im just rambling i am 74, getting there, 51, i am not giving up. Done!

Too drawn out, if a movie or 4 episodes it would be much better!

The cinematography, the locations and the score are something else. Good idea, but extremely drawn out. Episode 3 or 4 I figured out the baddie, was suspecting an episode earlier. I am a fan of Oriol previous work, they were all movies mind you, so would stick to a more contained format. Judy episode in particular was way too long and a hard watch, would get the point across in a 15 minute flashback but oh well. Well acted, well shot and again, I really liked the score which elevated the whole thing. Has all the usual tropes but I think they were handled effectively. It's really hard to fool me, which I don't like and when something genuinely takes me for a ride ( something like Behind her eyes, which was a pleasant surprise) I'm all for it. On that topic I even figured out his Invisible Guest twist, and was disappointed since it was recommended to me as a mindblowing twist, alas. This was not the case here, but the first few episodes kept me intrigued. All in all a solid watch, but too long.

Why does the main character whisper all the time?

This series is actually a psychological story that explores the influence of the mother on the main character, a common theme in psychology. The series has a great soundtrack, and the cinematography is excellent. However, the plot could have been better-there are many illogical and unfinished elements. What was particularly irritating is that the main character whispers throughout every conversation with the other characters, which literally drove me crazy. Still, the series is watchable, though nothing exceptional. Additionally, the landscapes where the series was filmed are truly stunning and take your breath away.

Netflix should keeps invest in Oriol Paulo

From the very first scene, I was drawn in by the mystery and the beautiful world created by Oriol Paulo. His choice of camera angles, haunting music, and hints of something dark set a chilling, gripping tone that made me want to keep watching. Paulo's masterful use of foreshadowing is like that of Hitchcock, Godard, or De Palma. He brings his own unique noir style, layered with tension and nuanced visual storytelling. In thid, he closely aligns with Guillermo del Toro, making scenes that are both visually stunning and deeply immersive. In this series pay attention to the many slight, but deliberate inconsistencies (how doors open, wet or dry hair, the changing weather and varied animal behaviors). I also love the pace, neither too fast or slow. As a fan of psychological thrillers, this series resonates perfectly, hitting every note with precision and artistry-keeping me eager for what lies ahead. If you liked The Changeling, you will also enjoy this series.

The Last Night at Tremore Beach - a Gem of a Show You Should Not Miss

Besides the soaring music, the gorgeous beauty wherever this was filmed, the length that should have been shortened at least by one episode, and one star deducted because it should have been shortened up a bit. This show from Spain was a wonderful story, filled with heart and a story that wouldn't let me go. I have a tough time these days finding a movie or series that is worth my time investment. It was a joy to find this show that danced between honest emotions and, at times, edge of your seat fear. The acting was superb. The male lead did an admirable job of keeping the character just inches from the edge of madness. The entire cast was superb, including the children.

The cinematography was excellent. The story will fool you. You might think it is jumping all over the place. But just when you think you can not take another jump, it resolves in a way that is so amazing! This series is a diamond amongst so much garbage being made these days of irritating wokeness. It wasn't about politics, or any of the current correctness permeating nearly every movie or show I watch. It was simply a great story with scares, police mystery, and a little paranormal - just enough to be believable, interesting, and very good. And a story of great love. Hard to find all of that wrapped up into one series these days. Definitely recommended!

Maximum 6 @ 50 minute episodes would be great

I could't agree more with most of the viewers who thought that it was a dissent story, excellent cinematography, and good acting from the main characters.

But going back and forth with so much unecessary detail, not helping at all for the undrstanding of the story, let alone the pace of the series was really tiresome.

By the 4th episode I caught myself going fast forward in most of the remaining episodes.

Good ending though, after the last two episodes which were really trying (and achieving) to confuse you totally as to what is reality, dreaming, past, future and present. So I guess it was worth it at the end.

OMG what a plot twist!!

Hands down, one of the best scripts ever written, just phenomenal. It's very slow, you need to get through first 3 episodes before the story starts to reveal. And even then it will take you through a labyrinth of characters' stories and lifes, slowly making you wander what exactly are you watching.. It plays with you by tricking you to think it's one genre or another, you don't what to expect and where it all goes- until in the last few episodes the main story shines. And it is slow on purpose - it gives you a chance to think about all the possible dots you need to connect, it makes you live through the story in the way that will make you scream in the end when that plot twist is going to reveal. That plot twist is totally worth it. This is incredibly enjoyable if you make it through the first couple of episodes.

Excellent

The series was very thought provoking. I believe the writers attempted to take on determinism vs free will, the theory of one universe vs a multiverse, and second sight.

The protagonist takes on the role of an arbitrator of these current human conundrums. As a viewer (spectator) we enter the realm of this discussion as he attempts to reach a satisfactory personal outcome.

The realm being an electrified state of a human mind seeking to understand a glimpse of the multiverse (second sight). Where every choice a human makes generates a universe consistent with that choice. The visions (sight) not being limited by the narrow constraints of the "in the present first sight" of the electromagnetic spectrum.

In the multiverse where every choice (or one wrong note) propels us into unforeseen possibilities or a deterministic path? The protagonist's must journey through a branching realm piecing fragments of visions together like solving a puzzle. He must puzzle out the branching by discovering how the choices of the others determine his choices. He must work out lies, half truths, and the agenda of an unknown antagonists.

His/our understanding concludes that thoughtful deliberation of our choices will improve our universe.

I felt the protagonist and supporting actors that had a significant role were spot on in their characterizations. The production and performances deserves an Emmy nomination.

A Disappointing Dive into "La Última Noche en Tremor"

"La Última Noche en Tremor" had the potential to be an intriguing exploration of suspense and human drama, but it ultimately falls flat. The plot, centered around a mysterious event in a small town, quickly devolves into a series of predictable clichés. Instead of building tension, the narrative meanders aimlessly, failing to engage the viewer or develop its characters meaningfully.

The performances, while earnest, lack the depth required to bring the flawed script to life. Many characters feel like mere archetypes, leaving the audience disconnected from their fates. The dialogue is often cringe-worthy, with attempts at wit falling short and emotional moments feeling forced.

Visually, the series offers some interesting cinematography, but it's not enough to save it from its narrative shortcomings. The pacing drags, making the six episodes feel like an endless slog rather than an exhilarating ride.

In the end, "La Última Noche en Tremor" is a missed opportunity-an underwhelming blend of tired tropes and lackluster execution that fails to leave a lasting impression. It's a forgettable addition to the genre that leaves viewers wishing for something more innovative and engaging.

Watches just like reading a good book

Some will say it's boring but if you're a book lover I guarantee you'll love this. The plot, the pacing, the twists. Everything is executed perfectly. The attention to detail and trying to solve this mystery really pulls you in. The first episode is a slow start but I find any good shows first episode a bit slower due to getting to know the characters and world building. The visuals absolutely set a unique tone that will leave you feeling nostalgic for reasons you don't quite understand. Some may not like a couple horror elements so it may not be for everyone but I found the overall story outweighs any of that. If you're a thinker who tried to solve puzzles you'll love it. It's 10/10 for me easily.

I really enjoyed, but...

I really enjoyed... some Hitchcock, some Cronenberg.. It takes a little time to get going but we get hooked nonetheless.

The "premonitions" side that usually bothers me, I managed to forget.

The story is dark and I liked it.

On the other hand, if I had known, I would not have watched the last 30 minutes which spoil the whole story.

It's cutesy.

It fills the void That wants to attenuate the darkness of a finale which would have been hard, really really dark but so impactful and realistic... Without these last 30 minutes, I would have given a very good rating... I'm giving a 6/10 when I would have given 8/10 without that "play it safe" end.

Excelent series

A great series.

It holds your attention from beginning to end.

The acting is outstanding, and the storyline is excellent.

I got so absorbed in the series that I kept thinking about the main character even when I wasn't watching.

The director deserves praise; he did a fantastic job with this series, just like with "Innocent." What especially caught my attention was when the psychiatrist asks if he is a man of faith or science.

The episodes are long, like a movie, but still interesting.

I recommend this series to thriller fans.

I look forward to more series like this from Spain.

The scenery is beautiful; the country is full of natural beauty.

I would also especially praise the script for the series.

A suspenseful mystery that falls short of greatness

The Last Night at Tremore Beach, created by Oriol Paulo and Jordi Vallejo, is a brooding and atmospheric mini-series that blends psychological drama with elements of supernatural suspense. Set against the haunting backdrop of an isolated Irish beach, the story follows Peter Harper (Javier Rey), a composer recovering from divorce, whose retreat for inspiration takes a dark turn during a violent storm.

Javier Rey delivers a strong central performance, effectively portraying Harper's descent into paranoia and uncertainty. Ana Polvorosa and Guillermo Toledo add depth to the cast, though their characters occasionally feel like tools to move the plot rather than fully developed individuals.

Visually, the series excels, with stunning shots of the Irish coastline and a moody, almost oppressive atmosphere that mirrors Harper's internal struggles. However, the pacing is inconsistent, with moments of gripping tension undermined by slower, less engaging sequences. The plot, while intriguing, leans heavily on genre clichés and predictable twists, which detract from the series' overall impact.

The Last Night at Tremore Beach is an enjoyable watch for fans of atmospheric thrillers, offering moments of genuine suspense and striking visuals. However, it doesn't fully capitalize on its potential, leaving viewers with a mystery that, while engaging, lacks the depth and originality to truly stand out.

6/10 - a visually compelling thriller that entertains but doesn't quite deliver on its promise.

Loved it !

Hi

I really loved it and watched it in one weekend.

The images, the music were wonderfully displayed. And the piano ! It has been so good to hear/see this.

Feels like going to Tremore in Spain, so nice !

I don't understand the bad reviews, why watching the whole 8 episodes then ?

Alex is a bit too whiny, luckily at the end we can see his real face, more calm and quite smiling.

Spanish are making a lot of good movies and shows, not enough known according to me.

Can someone tell me what is the Beethoven music he and she (Estrella) played for the London school exam ? If anybody knows...

Thank you all.

Do you like watching a grown man cry like a little girl for hours? This is for you

In my almost 60 years of age, I've never seen a male character in a movie or tv series so pathetic, so unmanly, so annoying, that I wished he was already dead by the second episode. He spends all 8 episodes crying like a little girl, because god only knows, he's the most tormented man alive. His mommy issues make his life so miserable, even when he has a beautiful woman who loves him, and whose life has been much worse than his but you don't see her complaining or crying all over the place. Yes, the ending has an interesting twist, but it takes too long to get there. Half way through the series you already wish for someone to put the protagonist out of his misery. He's just a poor excuse of a man, so weak and useless that is almost impossible to feel empathy for him. The series could have been great if it was told in half the episodes with a stronger lead character.

Intriguing but Overly Drawn Out

It held my interest with its compelling plot and strong performances. However, the series suffers from pacing issues. It felt unnecessarily extended, both in the number of episodes and their length.

The drama, while effective at times, became excessive in others. The overuse of whispered dialogue and slow-motion-like scenes often felt tedious.

I believe the series could have been much more impactful with tighter editing and a less exaggerated tone. Still, the story has potential, and the acting is commendable.

In short, "La última noche en Tremor" is a captivating series that could have been significantly better with more concise storytelling and a less over-the-top approach.

Total waste of time...

Painfully slow!! I mean, literally! Plus way too long episodes. All episodes are more than an hour, how can you call the series ''mini''? I only kept whatching for Javier Rey. Actually all actors (who definitely deserve a better script) are talented and did a nice job but no... The first review is so far away from reality and soo very exaggrated that I think it's written by someone who involved in the series. It's not a 10 obviously, may be a 6.

At the beginning of the episode 6, oh my god! Boredom hits you harder than before.

I think Javier Rey is a great actor and I really want to see him in better productions that he deserves.

That being said, I recommend you to read critics reviews first so, you can't say you're not warned.

In general ok

I find the story interesting, not letting you know what is true and what is not in many situations.

Episode about Judy, I guess there was a point but I haven't seen it, regarding the story.

Unfortunately the biggest disappointment is the last episode. Everything was leading to the main event and at the end so sooooo bad. To much of a Hollywood drama in combination of Tv Novelas.

I know that we all think we would do it better but this at the end is a good show, with a nice psychological twist that explores interesting relationships.

Even with this, I do recommend you to see it. 7 is a quite high score.
