Watched 3 times The credit goes to casting, acting, scripting, music, direction, camera and editing equally. Everything was perfect. Everything was perfect This one is not like the other stereotype thrillers. I have 2 request only. Everyone should watch the movie in theaters and please don't try to spoil.

This is a beautiful thriller. I thank Sanoop Sathyan for this splendid experience. My rating is 9/10

As a veteran police officer, Shajon has done it so realistically!

Kalabhavan Shajon starrer 'CID Ramachandran Retired SI' has been released without much fanfare. This movie is a good treat for those who like thriller movies. For those who enjoy suspenseful films, this one is highly recommended. Kalabhavan Shajon's outstanding performance is the film's main attraction. As a veteran police officer, Shajon has done it so realistically. The movie gives a really good thriller experience on a small budget. It can be honestly said that Sanoop Sathyan has approached the film with a hands-on approach without any constraints of a newbie director. Within the first five minutes, the director has managed to convey to the audience the character's sincerity towards work and expertise in case investigation.

The character of Ramachandran was well written. It's refreshing and Shajohn's performance is excellent. There was the needed subtlety and seriousness and the softer side of the officer at home was also portrayed well. There was a balance in his character that is rarely seen. There is no over dramatisation of scenes where he is offended by his former colleagues. He is quiet and accepts the reality as it is. There is no cliché tragedy associated with the life of a credible police officer, nor is he an alcoholic. He simply loves his job as is evident from the various instances seen throughout the film. Anumol and Karamana Sudheer also gave solid performances.

CID Ramachandran Retd SI follows the line of a policeman investigating his crime post-retirement. The film takes its own sweet time to establish the characters and plot. Once the film switches to the investigation part, it keeps the viewers engaged not just for a bit but till the very end. Each new finding is a new turn in the investigation route. It is quite rare to have something refreshing like this in the tried and tested field of crime drama. And very satisfying to have a story that doesn't rely on predictable storyline.

Shajon was very convincing as the policeman who never rests.

If it had a better promotion and distribution, it would have been considered another gem of the year for malayalam cinema.

Would support if this turns out to be a series or a sequel.

Pretty much everything about this movie, right from casting till direction is overly impressive. The sound design and music gets my special attention since it created a "never before" feel among Malayalam or maybe even other Indian language movies.
