I really like these types of programmes and I really tried to like this one too. Unfortunately the presenter seems to be bent on showing his own disgust with the perpertrators that he is not coming across as professional. I just can't take him seriously. Also the psychologist always seems to have a permanent grin on her face. These people give the whole programme an unserious flavour and never seem to be reporting on the cases from an obective perspective. It would seem that the producers are trying to capitilize on the format of the "Faking It" series but have certainly missed the mark. Such a shame.
This show is honestly one of the worst true crime series I have ever seen. The presenter is not suited at all to this role, he constantly repeats himself, is more interested in his own disgust at the crime than he is in the crime and the victim.
It is clearly scripted yet tries to portray conversations which is organic, and it comes off really badly - it plays more like a badly written fictional show than two people actually talking.
The presenter / writers come across as quite simple minded as well - in one scene we see a CCTV still of a location that has a big Enterprise Rental Car sign, and there is a caption on the still that says "Enterprise Car Rental" - when the presenter is shown this, he asks "Is this the car rental place?"
The victims legitimately deserve better than this.
