Overall, it's an excellent series! Taylor Kitsch's performance is extremely convincing and perfectly suited to the role.
The plot isn't anything overly complex or full of twists, but it's exactly what we expect from this genre. The story doesn't ignore moral compasses or personalities; in fact, it respects the nature of each character, their motivations, traumas, and backgrounds that shape their actions throughout the series.
However, towards the end, a few specific scenes weren't very convincing to me, but it was only a couple, maybe two or three. Still, it's a solid 9!

I just finished watching The Terminal List: Dark Wolf and while it's not quite as good as the original with Chris Pratt, it's still really good and definitely worth your time to watch. Actually, some people might even enjoy this one more...it's that good. Dark Wolf is a prequel origin story of Taylor Kitsch's character, Ben Edwards. It shows his journey from the Navy Seals to his time working for the CIA Special Operations. Chris Pratt is also back in a smaller role. This is a gritty spy thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat and wanting more. If you like action you'll love this because it's full of it, it never lets up from the beginning to the end. I cannot recommend this series enough...I absolutely loved it.
So far, I'm really enjoying this series. I loved the Terminal list with Chris Pratt and it's hard to say anything could top that. While some reviews claim Dark Wolf does so, I'm pretty sure they're just forgetting how good that series is. Taylor Kitsch is doing a great job but he's a little weak compared to Pratt and this series wants to make him oh so human that we don't see him in action as much as reacting and contemplating. Still, it's a great series in it's own right.
What I most appreciate about it is the solid 'This is US military and we're not sorry sensation'; and with equal billing is the fantastic attention to detail. We've all seen a dozen shows with modern technology displayed through brilliant hackers but here it shows in realistic terms how tracking, communications, and psyops are done.
All of the characters are believable and likeable and we feel the connection they have to each other despite only brief background dissertations. There's very little frustration with the characters, as in other shows - the tension is all in the action.
The only downside is Prime keeps advertising the anti-maga Springsteen film who no patriot has thought twice about since he endorsed Killary.
Looking forward to wherever this series takes me. Solid 8 stars.

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf is finally here and it did not disappoint. I absolutely loved The Terminal List starring Chris Pratt so I've been looking forward to this ever since they announced this spinoff a few years ago. This spinoff is a prequel story about Ben Edwards (Taylor Kitsch), who was in the first one but takes center stage here. I've been a fan of Kitsch ever since he starred in the amazing Friday Night Lights. He's awesome here too. Chris Pratt is also back as James Reece and even though he's just a supporting character in this series he's as good as always. It also stars a bunch of other great actors like Tom Hopper, Luke Hemsworth, Jai Courtney, Constance Wu, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Michael Ealy and plenty of others you will recognize. There is plenty of action and drama to keep you entertained throughout each episode. The only bad thing I can say is they didn't release all the episodes at once and we have to wait a week between episodes. It's much better as a binge watch.
A little more towards the espionage end of the special forces shooting guns spectrum, compared to the earlier incarnation. There are a fair few twists and turns. But there is still a lot of action to quench that thirst. The first episode was a little slow, but the pace picked up and completely hooked me in. It's very bingeworthy. Taylor Kitch's character Ben Edwards grew. As a prequel, it is easily as good as, if not better than, the first Terminal List. The only issue is that you hear "brother" rather a lot, oh, and "moving". And towards the end of the season, you might get a little tired of hearing about moving brothers. Other than that, a most enjoyable addition to the franchise.

¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaDark Wolf will introduce many of the characters who will show up in The Terminal List :True Believer. Some of those same characters were mentioned and played a part in La lista terminal (2022).
- ErroresWrongly considered an error - the series is set in 2015. Tom Hopper who plays Raife is referred to as "Rhodesian" during the series. Rhodesia became Zimbabwe in 1980. If his character is the same as Hopper, then he was born in 1985 and would be Zimbabwean.
