    Incredible!

This is the first Pokemon game where i beat all the levels. I like how you can choose to have Charmander on your team! Fun for all ages!

3D Boldness and I loved it

Legendary Experience in the Shadow of Death, Power, and Elegance

Where Pokémon X was a love letter to life, Pokémon Y was its darker, bolder twin-the one that stepped into the light with a sharper edge and a legendary that symbolized destruction itself. Set in the same stunning Kalos region, Pokémon Y wasn't just a companion to X-it stood on its own as a powerful force in the franchise, full of deep mechanics, evolved storytelling, and a Pokémon roster that mixed mystery and strength.

Yveltal - Death Incarnate with Purpose

The box art said it all: Yveltal, the Dark/Flying-type Legendary, looked like it could end the world-and in lore, it basically could. Its Oblivion Wing move, its fearsome cry, and its skeletal design made it one of the most intimidating Legendaries ever introduced. But what made it so compelling was that it wasn't evil-it was balance. Where Xerneas gives life, Yveltal absorbs it to preserve the natural order.

That theme echoed throughout Y: power isn't always beautiful-but it is necessary.

A Region That Feels Like a Real World

The Kalos Region shines just as brightly in Y as in X. Whether you're battling through the neon-lit avenues of Lumiose City or winding your way up the snowy slopes of Frost Cavern, Y delivers one of the richest Pokémon worlds ever crafted.

Every corner felt handcrafted. Every route held secrets. And every trainer felt like a rival, not just an obstacle.

    Mega Evolution Shines Again

From Mega Houndoom to Mega Mewtwo Y, Pokémon Y had access to some of the sleekest and most powerful Mega Evolutions in the series. These transformations didn't just add power-they added emotional weight to battles. Watching your partner evolve mid-fight? Still chills.

The Kalos Story - Heavy, Beautiful, and Haunting

While the mainline Pokémon games often keep things simple, Y went a little deeper: Team Flare wasn't just trying to take over the world-they wanted to reshape it by any means necessary.

The backstory of AZ and his Eternal Pokémon is still one of the darkest and most touching in franchise history.

The ending, with AZ's final battle and the return of his companion, hit like a freight train-silent, emotional, unforgettable.

    Customization, Connection, and Care

Y also pushed the franchise forward in huge ways: Trainer Customization - you could finally make your character yours Wonder Trade - trade globally with total strangers, and sometimes get a shiny back EXP Share Revamp - training became less of a grind, more about your actual journey

These weren't just features-they were statements. Pokémon was no longer just about collecting monsters. It was about sharing your journey, styling your identity, and caring for your team in new ways (shoutout to Pokémon-Amie).

    Greninja, Talonflame, Aegislash, and More

Kalos gave us some of the greatest new Pokémon designs of all time. Whether it's the competitive powerhouse Aegislash, the fiery revenge bird Talonflame, or the sleek ninja starter Greninja, Y delivered top-tier designs and versatile battlers that still define the meta years later.

Final Word - Pokémon Y Was the Darker Masterpiece

If Pokémon X was about wonder, Y was about power. If X was about life, Y was about the cost of it. Together, they formed the most meaningful pair in the series to that point.

But Y stood tall on its own.

It didn't need to be flashy. It didn't need to be cheerful. It just needed to be great. And it was.

10 out of 10. Fierce, philosophical, unforgettable.

    Wow, what a great game.

Pokémon has always been a favourite of mine so when I heard that Pokémon Y was coming out, I was ecstatic. The gameplay is awesome and you can get more than 4 generations of Pokémon! It is a must have for any Pokémon fan.

The 3D graphics are awesome and it is probably the best main Pokémon game. You can see what Pokémon are doing in battle, you can battle a herd of Pokémon, and, best of all, Pikachu speaks, saying "Pika".

I hope this review has persuaded you to buy the game. It is very good and anyone with a 3DS should buy it. It is an awesome game and at the moment it is only £40. I think you should buy it!
