Get Greedo is a fun short that is based on true happenings of Kevin Smith and Jay Mewes. As a way to distract Jay from using drugs, they search for Greedo dolls for the Secret Stash. I enjoyed the acting of Mark Frost (Kevin) and Chris Bain (Jay) and thought their portrayals were good. The dialogue was decent and overall the performances were good all around. I liked the voice cameos of Brian O'Halloran and Git'Em Steve Dave as well. Director Christopher Downie did a good job making the story and locations as believable as possible, despite being from across the pond. A good effort and look forward to the rest of the 'series'.
Get Greedo is a film that demonstrates the talent and scope of writer/direction/musician/costar, Christopher Downie. He gives the fans a film that fills in the often told story of best friends Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes, as Jason struggles with drug addiction and maintaining the greatest relationship he's ever known.
The film hooks you from the first note, rather than waiting to get into the intense topic, or burying the lead. The acting of Chris Bain (Jason Mewes) and Mark Frost (Kevin Smith) starts out strong and maintains throughout the film. Downie's inclusion of the idiosyncrasies of his real life subjects is an added bonus for fellow Smith fans and shows how much he cares for his characters.
The script was enjoyable with unsuspected bits of humor. Downie's writing shines in the third act with a twist that pulls at the heartstrings. I am left feeling affected and even uplifted by the film. The subject matter well understood and brilliantly written makes it an enjoyable watch for all.

Recently I was asked to view a screening of FLOS Productions' latest creation, "Get Greedo". This is based on a story told by Kevin Smith (who executive produces) about his time during Jason Mewes' on/off heroin addiction. This has been covered in word (Smith's notable "Me & My Shadow" tale) and on many of his "An Evening With..." DVD's and other Q&A appearances. The crux of the tale is that to keep Mewes busy, he was assigned a task of buying a "chase" Star Wars figure (the titular Greedo) which could then be flipped in The Secret Stash for profit. This would occupy Jason's time and enable Smith to keep a close eye on him whilst fighting his addiction.
What Downie does in this latest short is incredible. The heartfelt performance of Mark Frost's and Chris Bain's as Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes is truly a feat of acting. There is really a relationship, a "bro-mance" if you will that is portrayed as accurately as the real life protagonists themselves.
The main task of filming should also be commended – stock footage of New York, New Jersey and even the interior of The Secret Stash is covered with grace and finesse by Downie and everyone on the crew for this feature.
The short does keep the subject matter light and this keeps you in great spirits throughout the movie. If you're a fan of the "Aksewniverse" you will be in for a treat with voice appearances by Brian O'Halloran ("Dante" from Smith's debut, "Clerks") and even features Git 'Em Steve Dave from Smodco's sister podcast "Tell Em Steve Dave!".
To conclude, if you're a fan of Downie's previous work or a fan of anything by Kevin Smith, this comes highly recommended. As a great man once said "play to your audience" – Downie and his crew do just that and more with aplomb. I look forward to FLOS Productions next vehicle.

In Get Greedo Christopher Downie captures the story of ex heroin addict Jason Mewes and the struggles he along with best friend Kevin Smith faced while trying to get himself clean. while also bringing in some humorous moments and great SModco easter eggs, with many tributes of Kevin Smiths previous films shown throughout the movie, and even a voice cameo from one of the stars of "Clerks" Brian O'halloran.
Mark Frost (Kevin) and Chris Bain (Jay) give a stellar performance especially during the third act, and the soundtrack goes perfect with the movies tone. this was a great watch, and i very much look forward to Christopher Downies upcoming films.

Now I had a chance to watch this and I have to say its pretty brilliant. I came into this film being a fan of not only Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes, but the director and writer of this film, Christopher Downie. His last SMod film/series was Babble-On Begins, which was loosely based off of Kevin Smith and Ralph Garmen from Hollywood Babble-On.
really liked this movie because we get to take a look into the mind of Jason Mewes a bit and what Kevin was dealing with when it came to Jason and his drug use back in the 90's. This movie not only has a place in my mind but also my heart. I hope you all enjoy it.

- TriviaSeveral scheduled locations were lost, hence why a lot of the film takes place in Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash. Originally, Kevin and Jason left the store and dropped in on a certain donut chain, to discuss their plan of action. The store, which was heavily influenced by American products, went out of business, so a single line of dialogue was created to bridge the gap between scenes. Unfortunately, said scene was removed from the final film due to editing problems.

- Créditos curiososAt the end of the credits 'Kevin and Jason will return in The Twelve Steps of Jason Mewes: Undercover Lover' Kevin Smith has included similar credits in his films.
