I have no option this weekend ... this was remaining .....

STRENGTHS :- *Casting and Performances : award winning ..... *Story : predictable one but it is different .... *Direction : sea shore scenes were well captured .... *Dialogues : most appreciable .. beautiful meaningful lines ... *Samuthirakani : supports Muslims and speak few lines in a great way..... *Retain Suspense : till end .... *SOLID MESSAGE : for alcohol drinkers ..... *Movie Dedicated to all fisherman's against Sri Lanka force....

WEAKNESSES :- *Music and BGM : are average but it has 2 good songs "para para" is my favorite .....

FINAL VERDICT:- It is a clean more than one time watch romantic story with starts with a twist and ends in thriller..... i strongly recommend this movie for all movie goers ...... MUST WATCH

Arulappasamy (Vishnu) is a young man who is an alcoholic and wastrel who is a constant embarrassment for his hardworking parents. Esther (Sunaina) is an orphan girl who is adopted by a nun and she stays in the church. Arulappan slowly gets attracted to Esther and his love for her, changes him. He gives up drinking and wants to work so that he can marry Esther. But the local fishermen do not allow him to go into the sea. The young man due to his determination buys a boat , marries his love and life is all rosy, till fate intervenes.

A very good movie ,great for its simplicity (good direction) and some of scenes which are so touching and express much more meaning of human life.

Good acting and could see a very strong solid love of two souls , the scenes are nice.

like the music ,picturization of the entire movie is very good and meaningful.

Totally feel very happy to watch this movie.

Of the leads, Vishnu does well with minimal dialogue, relying on his eyes and his expressions to do the communicating, especially in those scenes with Sunaina where he's expected to strum up romance and chemistry.

Sunania is a revelation and she delivers a measured performance. It is perhaps her best ever so far and she leaves a lasting impression. Ram, Saranya , Thambi Ramadurai, Azhagamperumal, Samuthirakani and even Vadivukarasi in that small role is outstanding. However, Nandita Das doesn't have much to do.

The film also benefits enormously from Balasubramaniam's remarkable cinematography, as his camera captures shots of the sea in all its glory and the sheer visual delight of the Para Para Para.. song picturisation will stay in your mind. Raghunathan's songs and background score is commendable.

On the downside, the first half is a bit slow and the climax is contrived. But on the whole, it is a moving drama that will undoubtedly leave you with a lump in your throat. And films like this are hard to find.

From the title itself, Neerparavai feels like poetry in motion. If this gem had released today, it would've gone viral for all the right reasons. It's not just a film; it's a soul-touching journey of love, loss, and rebirth. A cinematic treasure that deserves to be celebrated.

The story is simple yet powerful. What makes it unforgettable is the beautifully layered screenplay-engaging, emotional, and soaked in authenticity. Watching a man rise from the depths of alcoholism to becoming a devoted fisherman, all for love-just pure, raw emotion.

Seenu Ramasamy proves once again why he's one of Kollywood's most underrated storytellers. His writing hits deep, and the emotional climax leaves you with goosebumps. That final dialogue? Heart-shattering.

Vishnu Vishal and Sunainaa breathe life into Arul and Esther. Their chemistry, supported by a brilliant cast-especially the father and mother-feels real and rooted. The rustic seaside visuals elevate every moment.

But the heart of the film? N. R. Raghunanthan's music. "Para Para" is pure magic-goosebumps guaranteed.

Verdict:A sad yet fulfilling ending. One of Tamil cinema's hidden treasures. Neerparavai isn't just a film, it's an emotion.

Such a good movie that did not do commercially well. It highlights the life of a fisherman and the loss of life due to the brutalities of the Srilankan Army...

The characters are well played out... Also brings in the hardships of Fishermen...

The cinematography captures the arid yet beautiful coastline of the Tamilnadu...

Music is also a great plus to the movie... Although the composer is not famous one, he does justice to the storyline...

Great movie that deserves awards...
